Trying to Conceive with IUI #2

Hi Girls,

I'm a long time lurker, just starting to post a few messages in the past few days.
I had my second IUI on the 3/5/08, so just waiting for testing now.
Interesting to read about double IUI, I haven't heard of that at all!!
I've got my appointment booked with the FS if this cycle is a failure, so I'm guessing next step will be IVF. Fingers crossed we won't need it!

Hi all,

I had another US this am (CD 9). Still no dominant follicle. 13mm and 14mm follicle on right plus a couple slightly smaller at 11-12mm. One 10mm follicle on L plus a few 8-9mm. I wont get my bt results back til this afternoon but I'm assuming it will be further bt and US on Friday. I think this cycle is going to be a lot longer than my last IUI where I triggered day 8 for IUI day 10 and then had AF by day 24.

Good luck to everyone else. Who's the first to test this cycle?

Alloy hopefully you wont need to have your appointment with FS.
Fi how is the 2WW going? I agree that you need to inject the Pregynl really really slow. I ended up having to meet DH at the gym in the carpark because it is the only needle that I can't self inject.....we did get a lot of stange looks doing it.

Hi Fi! Hope you're cruising through your TWW with plenty of distractions...

I'm currently cd26. I ovulated later, around cd 19 so I'm not expecting anything for at least another week... we'll have to wait and see if this month on our own has worked. Trying so hard to think positive thoughts without being too hopeful, if you know what I mean.

Hi everyone, thank you for the welcome!

I'm 13dpo today, and have started spotting (which is the same as my past 3 medicated cycles) so it looks like AF will rear her ugly head on Sunday/Monday.

Best of luck to the rest of you lovely ladies.

We'll be having a break next cycle, before our FS appointment 10/6. It will actually be nice not to have the stress for a few weeks.

so sorry to hear that AF is on her way alloy, you never know though until she fully visits!
I am also looking forward to a break fom it all if we are also unsuccessful this month, hopefully the mountain air in Chamonix will do the job for us whilst we are away in Europe

Kaydee- do you feel any different? We should find out about the same time maybe, my test day is the 26th May.
Swirl- your cycle sounds exactly what ive just gone through, it was alot longer and drawn out compared to the previous 1 which was also very quick, iui day 10.
Cherie- hope the 2ww flys by for you!
A question to you all, in your 2ww do you refain from doing any exercise? Finding it bit frustrating that i have had to stop running, was just gettig into it! Feel a right unhealthy blob at the mo. Also has anyone else felt really hormonal half way through 2ww? Feel like anything could upset me at the mo

Fi how lovely that you are going to Europe, we travelled Europe last year and had an amazing time, I can't wait to go again. Have you been told not to exercise?? I train with weights a few times and also do a lot of running....but I don't change it during the 2WW.

Hi Amy,
Yes i was told not to do any exercise that makes you too hot, in the case of me running, I do get quite hot, probably because im so unfit! If it is exercise that you have always done, and you are used to it, i guess it wouldnt be a problem, ask your clinic their thoughts. Good luck for tomorrow!

AF started for me yesterday afternoon, so I'm CD1 today. I'm going to give the FS a call a little later, and check if there have been any cancellations so I can move my appt forward, and just find out what she wants to do now.

Hi All,

Just a quick update from me.
Another US this am, one follicle is about 16mm and 3-4 others about 12mm or so. Hopefully this one will continue to grow. Suspect it will be back for US on Sun with IUI early next week - still waiting bt results from this am.

Amy - so sorry to hear about your BFN. Hope AF is kind to you. I always get AF before test day, I usually do a hpt to check that its not just "normal bleeding in early pregnancy" - but have never made it to a blood test. Will you do another cycle of IUI?

I had a call from my clinic. My FS wants another BT and US tomorrow am - if my largest follicle has grown a little bit more they will trigger me on Saturday night for a Monday IUI.

Hi Swirl,

I think I would prefer to get AF before the test day, I am 28 days every single month regardless of the drugs so I will still have to wait another 4 days before she comes but we have decided to try IUI one more time and then we will most likely have a break before trying IVF.

That is fantastic that you are getting ready to trigger and that your clinic is open on the weekends!!

Amy- so sorry to hear it was a negative again, I hope DH is giving you lots of cuddles this weekend.Before you know it, you will be starting the next cycle, I also hope AF is kind to you.
Belinda- just noticed its not long till you test, is it friday? how are you feeling, do you feel like you could be pregnant? I have everything crossed for you!
As for me, I dont feel any different, the times before when i have been pregnant, I just knew, so starting to feel this wont be my month either.
