Aww Mel - sounds like you need a . I really really hope it's your turn next - I do agree with you, although you are happy for them you do start to wonder why it can't be you.

Thanks Mel A, as you noticed AF arrived this am which I guess was no surprise as I spoke to my ob yesterday to get my progesterone results and although it got a bit higher this time (peaked at 28 rather than previous high of 21) by monday it was down to 14 and he said he thought AF would be here in a day or two!. Mel A, I also am surrounded by pregnant friends at the moment. Also, at work I am surrounded by little babies which is sometimes very hard (I work in an inpatient unit for mums with mental health problems and they get admitted with their babies)... so I have some idea how it is for you....

Hope others are having a more positive time on the ttc journey. Ob has said to stay on the same dose of clomid (50mg) as I am ovulating and now have a 12 day LP. I guess I thought he may increase it to 75mg as still no BFP.

Welcome Bella, hope you won't need to be here too long.

AJC- how did you/FS decide how many rounds of clomid before IVF or similar? Its a question which DP and I are currently discussing

Twomums for the 15th, hope its not too stressy for either of you.

sorry about af docgirl, grrrr - don't like her at all!

Good Q - I think ob advised 4 months because with DH's not so good semen analysis he doesn't want to waste too much time. But we have fallen pg naturally twice before so he's given us 3 months (rounds 2 - 4) to do that and I guess he figures we should be pg within that time frame if the sperms are doing what they should be. We were happy with that decision too - we are just so desperate to have a bub. I know even with IVF there are no guarantees of a bub or even a pregnancy but we just feel we have to try.

Good luck, it's a hard decision - especially when it's such an expensive decision.

    Hi everyone!

I hope its ok to join in. I have had a bit of a look around the forums and I seem to fit in best here.

    A bit about my background:

I am 28 years old, have PCOS (diagnosed about 6 years ago) and have been married since Jan 2007. I had two very early miscarriages last year, one in February and one in July. Although I obviously ovulated at least some of the time, my periods were very irregular and cycles were up to 50 days.
After seeing a fertility specialist and having all the tests I was put on Metformin 1500mg/day and aspirin 100mg/day and told to come back again in 6 months if I wasn't pregnant. So after 6 months I went back to the doctor and he has added clomid 100mg to the mix. I am currently on the second cycle of clomid (day 14 today) and I am hoping this is the cycle

I know what you all mean about being surrounded by pregnancy! My best friend got pregnant the first cycle she came off the pill and is due in July. Im so happy for her but I have to admit a bit jealous

Anyway good luck to everyone and hope we all have BFP's soon!

    Hi everyone ,

Well i had my FS appt yest . Clomid it is!
It was my first appt since my op he said that all the pathology came back good (i.e the cyst was benign). He is going to start me on clomid - 3 cycles and if that doesn't work - move on.
But i still haven't had AF since the op - technically i'm now day 40?????? (I had the op on day 11) He said that may or may not have interferred??? So he said "maybe your pregnant!!!!" I then said well i have had three negative tests though. So i'm having a blood test if it hasn't come by next Friday. If it's negative he wants to give me something to bring AF on so i can then start the clomid.

I'm a little scared about the clomid - side effects etc. He wants me to take 2 tablets (i.e 100mg). I'm going to start accupuncture next week as well.

God it would be awsome if i was pregnant already!!!! I don't feel any signs though so trying not to get to excited!

    Hope everyone is well.

    xxBella
