All my babes have prefered one side to the other and you will most likely find that you feel more comfortable getting her attatched to the side she prefers. I found that I was holding DS in a funny way then kind of moving him to my other hand and he felt like he was falling, so he would let go and cry.
I suggest lactation clinic at the hospital, they see how you are doing it and can suggest other ways etc, will also give DH a day to catch up on sleep and help with that night..its hard to be bothered but could make all the difference.
A sling or pouch is a life saver , Poppy prefered the pouch!!!
i know you really want to BF, and don't hate me or take this the wrong way...but sometimes for your own mental health wellbeing it is better to go to the bottle..you will know if it gets to that point..if you hate everything about BF and start to dread the next feed and sit waiting for it all to be over...
I am happy to come over, I can hold Shae carry her in my pouch and you can grab a few well earned moments of rest, we are away Friday till Tuesday, but if you let me know I can get the kids babysat...and no it s not too much!!! only to happy to help, I can do an overnight if needed with notice, I'ii even bring something baby BF friendly to eat..
