Ella - thanks for the tip re pants, I will go and check out Premaman on Saturday. The first thing I do when I get home is rip off my work clothes and put on my trackies! I have a pair of really comfy Abercrombie ones that are drawstring and I think I will be able to wear them the whole way through!

Mel - Yes I was playing sport up until 3 weeks ago. A few people have said to me that it might take a while to really pop out due to being fit, I really shouldn't complain but it's exciting and I want to be able to show that I am pg and not just eating too many m&m's! I have long leg's so I usually buy long pants - I might go back to Pumpkin Patch and get the ones I saw (I am sure I will grow into them!) as well as get a second pair.

    Hi Ladies,

Just a quick pop in to see how everyone is doing and if Ella has had her little princess yet! But alas no, awwww hun you poor thing! I was 9 days over with Angus and as most of you girls can confirm, I was like a bear with a sore head and needed to hibernate. I will wish you a very speedy labour, 4 hours would probably suit you very nicely!

Ros - Hun you poor thing about the stitches. Have they got worse since Sebe's pregnancy hun? Have you got your Mum lined up to help you with the boys? Jan will come soon huni, you are soooo busy with the older boys, it will zoom, it is not that long till Xmas and then Bubs will be due.

Katie - Am looking forward to hearing all about your scan - how exciting!!! Yeah Dr D is pretty cool about pregnancy being a very normal and natural part of life!

Jo - I hated maternity shopping too, so I am hearing your pain, only mine was cause I am short and stocky! lmao Pants are a pain in the butt for me at the best of times, let alone pregnant too! Way to go on playing sport up until recently, that fitness will be great for when you are in labour.

Fahncy - How was the trip to Spain? Want to hear all about it. How is the mighty Quinn, he must be nearly due to come down here and have a play with my ferals! lol BY the way tell your lovely DP that he had better make it worth my while to make him some hedgehog!

Mel - sweety, how was work today? How are your gorgeous little girls going?

We are nearly settled in, and will hopefully have my new phone point in and broadband back up and running tomorrow, dial up is driving me nuts, I can't even send emails!

My office is looking great, Am hoping to have people come here when they only book me for Childbirth Education and not Doulaing, it is a great relaxed little room and looks out to our backyard and I have my new desk, compfy sofa etc, so getting there.

    Hope everyone is well!

    hi all!

exciting news at last - i *think* am in labour - woo hoo!!
well, this better be the real thing - if this is still pre-labour i'll NEVER survive the real mccoy!!

have been getting very regular and painful contractions since about 7pm. got in a panic and nearly got my DH to drive me to the hospital straight away, but am glad i didn't seeing as things seem to be going at a similar pace 5.5 hrs later!! i'm getting them every 1 to 5 minutes and they last anywhere fom 30secs to 90sec each, so really not a very text-book case!! i'll try and stay at home until i'm feeling suicidal, and then hopefully i'll make it in to hospital at the right time!! i will be gutted if when i finally get there they tell me that i'm only 2cms dilated - aaaggghhh!!!

ok, well keep an eye out for a birth announcement tomorrow hopefully, or else i could be back in here with my tail between my legs after finding out it was a false alarm!!

    Hi Everyone

Such exciting news to hear that Ella might finally be having the baby. Looking forward to hearing more.

I laughed at the question asking if I was the one playing sport and fit! NO!!! I wish I was in that type of shape for this pregnancy. I have spoken to Fit to Deliver though and she said I can start after 12 weeks. So I will speak to Dennis about it on Monday.

I am looking forward to the scan as well. I tend to freak myself out a bit and get worried that things are not fine. I even thought I lost my symptoms for a few days - but they came back stronger than ever. My body temp is so hot at night that I find it hard to sleep. Steve said that I am like an electric blanket. I am also having the strangest and most vivid dreams. I had an awful one where I dreamt that I took an ecstasy tablet (not something I would do!) and then remembered that I was pregnant. I was panicking and too afraid to tell anyone and desperately trying to make myself sick. I woke up feeling so guilty and worried. So the mind is working overtime.

Thanks Mel for the suggestion about taking a DVD. I didn't realise we had to supply our own! Would have been devastated when we got there. My mother in law is so excited, so she will love to see the DVD. She texts us non-stop and always signs off with 'Love to you all' or 'you three'! It is very sweet. Steve also can't wait to tell his grandmother, as this will make her a great-grandmother for the first time. She has been dropping not so subtle hints ever since we got married, so this should make her very happy.

Well that is it for me. I am hungry and have to eat right now! Another pregnancy thing for me - god help anyone who gets in my way once I get hungry!

Bogan: I love your new outfit and the addition of angus to your avatar! Yeah I am looking forward to visiting you and the ferals in their big sized cage - it's nice of you to get them a bigger cage to run around in now that there are 3 of them, make them feel more spaced out instead of squashed into that little cage you had in your Caulfield back yard! (LMAO). We're going to a wedding on 3rd Nov that is why he said we will drop past - he said you just have to leave the hog on the front door step, no chit chat just grab it and run. I will tell him he will need to give you a good old fashioned TF for your troubles!!!

Spain was wonderful and easy travelling with a baby who doesn't walk yet, he would get a bit cranky after a long day in the pram but was really really good - it is pretty easy when there are 2 of you to look after one baby and the plane was fine - we had the bassinet seats and he slept in that, but was generally pretty good, only tips I can give are to walk around the plane with the baby as often as you can.

    Ella: Whoooooooo hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Katie: I remember those dreams...When I had my ultrasound they had dvd's - you have to pay $11 for them, but worth it. I didn't know you could take your own in!!

Ella - That's great news - looking forward to hearing all of the details!

Katie - I just got one of their DVD's too much of a hassle trying to remember to take your own!

Kirsten - Glad the trip went smoothly, I will print your post to refer to later when we are going away with bub!

Only 8 days until my 19 week scan! Can't wait!

Ella - ohhhh how exciting! Hope you are pushing your heart out babe!!!

Katie - ring the u/s place and ask about the DVD. I took one with me (check what sort you need to bring) but like Kirsten said they usually have them there to buy. Its something you will keep forever. Your MIL sounds lovely, it must be very exciting for grandparents and esp new great great parents. My girls have 4 great grandmas but sadly no great grandpas. I had so many freaky dreams too, it really stuffs your sleep up. My body temp has never been the same since pregnancy. I am always warm in bed (DH doesn't complain lol!!!) and can't sleep in my flanny pj's anymore.

Jo don't worry about the weight gain it will come!

Ok so I have been waiting patiently for news on Ella but no posts yet so I have done some research and I found a post in Ella's belly Buddies group!

"Congratulations Ella79 & DH on the arrival of Abigail Cherry!
The beautiful new addition was born today (3.10.07) after a 17 hr drug-free labour, weighing 8lb 3oz."

Yay - Well done and congratulations Ella, Abigail is a beautiful name. I hope all is going well. Looking forward to hearing all about it!

Well, I had my 12 week scan yesterday. All went wonderfully and we had a good stong heartbeat. It took a bit of prompting to get the baby to move, but eventually we got some good profile shots. All hands and fingers accounted for. It was so beautiful. I can't believe we now have to wait until Week 20 before we can see the baby again! How will I manage.

Then off to see Dennise afterwards. Steve met him for the first time. He thought he was nice and a little eccentric.

So all going along smoothly. I couldn't even think of any questions to ask Dennis. Oh well!

Congrat's Katiegirl - getting to the 12 week scan is always nerve wracking and unfortunately it is no easier waiting for the 19 week scan. I have my 19 week scan on Thursday and it is taking so long to arrive!

    Hi girls!

Sorry for the long time no posting. I have only had dial up for a couple of weeks while we moved and it was driving me bonkers! lol

Ella - A huge congratulations hun! Well done on the birth of Abigail. Can't wait to hear all of the details hun!

Jo - Goodluck with your scan coming up - how exciting. Will you find out the gender hun?

Kate - woohooo Congrats on seeing bub for the first time. It is such a wonderful experience isn't it - I think it all becomes so much more real when you finally get to see them swimming around in there!

Ros - hun I hope your tummy is not giving you too much more grief - not too much longer to go huni, soon Xmas will be here and then the little man will make his arrival! Sounds like a great idea to have James and Jayden in holiday programs though.

Well I am just trying to get the business going again. I am pretty much booked up till March, but need to start sourcing clients after that. It seems to come in waves though, I tend to get alot of enquiries all at the same time and then nothing for a couple of months, then alot, so I just have to have faith that I will get more work! lol

We are loving the bigger house, more room for the boys to go feral, but I could have killed Campbell today. He pulled down my Xmas decos in the garage and broke all of my glass ornaments, including the glass ball for Cooper, of course he didn't break his, and I am unable to get any more of them as the lady that made them was not doing those ones anymore so needless to say he is not in my good books.

    Hope everyone else is well

Fahncy - how is the suzy homemaker going today???

Katie - glad to hear everything went well with your first u/s. Its very exciting! LOL about DH thinking Dennis is eccentric! I don't think I asked much either the first time, he was too busy talking to my DH

Jo - good luck for Thursday and its so nice to hear someone else not want to know the sex (yes, you control freak Relle!!!!). There are not many surprises in life and this is one of life's greatest. I didn't find out the sex for either pregnancy and it was one of the biggest motivators when in labour. I was just dying to know what was in there LOL!

Relle - has Campbell returned to the good books yet? Why do they always break someone elses stuff? You know the story about my broken glasses.

Chelsea starts orientation for school tomorrow, she goes for 1 hour, 1 day a week for 4 weeks. She is so excited but annoyed that she can't wear a uniform yet. My little girl is growing up!

LOL Mel - yes you know I am!

Ohhhhh how exciting for Chelsea! Give her a big hug and goodluck for me!

oohhhhhh I wish Campbell was going to school! I was on the phone to my sister when I found the broken decos yesterday and I had a massive debrief to her ( she nanny's for me 1 day a weeks so I can work from home) and she admitted that he is very high maintenance and that he is alot more difficult than any of her 3 children and that she jas run out of ideas as well. It was actually really nice to have someone that regularly looks after him think the same way as me.

IF and that is a very BIG IF at the moment we have another I will not find out, I will leave it a big surprise too! I need to do that once in my life! lmao

I wonder how Ella is going with Abigail, hope all is going well for her.

I have a quick question - Since Dennis told me his views about what we can eat whilst pregnant - I have become a lot more lenient. And yet....I am suffering guilt due to this! It is ridiculous I know, but there is so much talk about all the things you shouldn't eat, that I then feel guilty if I do eat them. For instance...(and I feel guilty admitting this - crazy) I had a sandwich the other day that had brie in it - it was Australian brie - but then afterwards got the guilts.

It you actually get listeria poisoning (is that correct), would I know?

Hey Katie, I have been pretty strict about what I have been eating, it is pretty hard to get something at lunchtime though unless you make it yourself. I would avoid soft cheese though because that is one of the main things they tell you to stay away from (it's hard I know, I love it!) If you go to the articles section of Belly Belly and under pregnancy they have an article on Listeria which is very informative and it lists the symptoms etc. I would read the article and then make up your own mind about what you are willing to eat and what you are not.

I have had a subway salad roll a couple of times and so far so good - it is always busy in there so I figure that the turnover of the ingredients is quite often.

I suppose it is what you feel comfortable with but keep in mind that they do tell you to avoid certain things for pretty valid reasons!

    I hope this helps!

    Jo.
