Thank you for all your kind words.

I am still very down today and teary and I hate feeling like this. I just feel so ripped off it sux!!!
I have friend who has three boys and has also been told she is having a girl. She is having another scan today just to make sure and I cant help but hope she gets told its a boy too!
I feel so mean for thinking like that as I wouldnt wish this feeling on anyone but I dont want her to have a girl when I was supposed to be.
I will book another scan for next week because im clinging to that little chance more than I should so I need to know one way or another. If it does come back as girl I still dont think I will believe it anyway.
I never questioned the ultrasound results with any of my boys and they were all correct, this time however I think I must have known because despite being told twice its a girl I still had that feeling in the back of my head (what if theye got it wrong)

I hear your pain, and I am sorry for the loss of hope you have bean dealt. Not fun. It is ok to grieve this as you would any loss. I will hold out hope with you that there is a little girl growing for you, but if not, it will be good to know for sure so you can fully let go and find a way to bond with the new little guy your having. Hang in there... xo

I am so sorry hun, I honestly do not understand what you are going through but I couldn't read this and not offer a hug. I am glad that you are going to book another U/S and I really hope that you have a girl baking in your oven. If it turns out to be another boy I suggest joining the GD group and talking with other women who have walked in your shoes.

I really do feel for you, it must be a shattering blow. I will be hoping and that the first two scans were right for you if you can't bear to hope yourself.

No I dont Tanya, unfortunately he only printed out the ones of the face, kidneys etc. I pulled them out as soon as I got home so I could scrutinise them myself but there is none there to scrutinise.
I think it must be sinking in a bit more today because I am feeling very flat and upset about.
Its taken all the excitment I felt about having this baby soon away too. I just went to the supermarket and they have huggies on special. I started crying again just looking at the pink boxes of nappies!

Have you thought about seeking another opinion to make absolutely sure? You sound so distraught, I wish there was something I could do for you.

    More hugs today .

Do you have any of the gender-type shots from the two previous scans? Tanya is pretty clever at determining the gender

I'm not sure if this is correct but I was told that the most accurate scans are around the 20 week mark and those too far after that point are not as accurate? Something to do with it being too big to determine properly?

Will be thinking of you and hoping.

Hon I am in shock for you and as I read you post I said out loud "oh now, how devastating" and my dh asked what was wrong and I told him big hugs from both of us. We don't have any bubs yet but we do know how much we want at least one of each gender, I can't imagine how uspset you are right now I understand you feeling like you have lost your little girl, is there any chance next time (if you choose a next time) you can get IVF or something to insure a girl? I know that might sound a little cold and I dont' know if you can even choose gender with IVF but I am just offering some light for you.

I hope you get some sort of closure with your next scan..if they are wrong and you are in fact having a girl then you can go on as you had planned.
If you are carrying a little boy you can grieve for what you thought you had and plan and get excited for the precious little man your are carrying to make up your basket ball team.

    Take care...

    xxxx Heather
