Yay Gab, so glad to hear from you - can't believe you're that far along already. Why is it that everyone else's pg seems to move along fast except you're own??!

Fingers crossed for some graduates from the LTTTC thread, looks like it is on the cards!!

Isn't it funny how most of us are paired up (being due within 2wks of each other), thats cool.

BTW, just spoke to the health fund, after she left me hangin over w/end & she said she clarified it that if I have a letter from my Dr/Spec saying my due date is >= 3Apr (40wks=14/4, 38wks=31/3), then I'm covered, regardless of going early. Only thing she wasn't sure bout was if they were twins, however told her that I clarified with my Gyn office (receptionist) & was told by them that it is still technically 40wks if multiples, but just that they normally always come early, hence 38wks, so she said provided I have that in writing, I'm covered, phew.

DH & I decided to stick with Jock Shumack unless we hear a good reason not to use him, & based on what GP said. If we don't like him on 1st aptmt, then will change to Greg Lowe.

    Hi Girls,

NZGirl and TamB - yep, I CAN'T believe that I am 24 weeks already! Funny how it just seemed to drag to get to the 19 wk U/S and since then the weeks just run along. Must be time to start on the nursery and stuff... hmmmmm...

On the other hand, look at both of you!! You are both flying along also! Must be time for some more scans soon ladies! Will you be finding out the sex of your little ones?

Shell - great news that you are covered! I cannot wait to find out how many you are cooking, LOL!! Glad to hear you have made a decision re your obs, it is always a tough choice isn't it?? I guess, until you meet him/her...... well, at least you have a back up plan.

Hello to everyone else, hope you are all keeping well. Better fly to make some dinner, and speak soon.

We are due to go to the country to see family, so if I am not around for a few day (yeah, like that is unusual, LOL!!) then don't stress, I may not have access to the Internet!

    Take care,

Good to hear from you Gab! Sounds like everything is aok in your neck of the woods!

Shell - I have a few names up my sleeve, but I am keeping them under my hat atm, and mulling them over in my brain. Actually I was coming up with names for one of my kittens the other night and asked DH what he thought of Splodge......he looked at me as if I was an idiot as he thought I was talking about baby names LOL! (As if!)

    Hope everyone else is ok!

Shell, good news that you are covered and that you can go with the doctor of your choice. Love your names too!

Gab, good to see you are humming along, yes, I think you should start getting the nursery ready! How exciting!

Jo, I think Splodge is a great name! I think David and I are playing the name game tonight. I hate trying to get him to agree to names, he always finds a rude nickname or relates the name to something strange!

We bought a twin pram on ebay, second hand Emmalunga, great condition. Dave is picking it up tonight, makes it all seem very real, somehow.

Not much else from me, waiting waiting waiting for the morph scan.

Sal, how are you, did you have or are you having an earlier scan?

Amy, Tam, Cailin, how are you guys?

Yes we will be finding out the sex also and I can't wait. Next thing to look forward to is NT scan on the 30th Aug. M/s has subsided so feel alot more normal, even though I was lucky in that it didn't really hit me too hard.

Tiggy - Exciting news about the pram. My mum has gone a bit nuts buying newborn clothes and things, it's so funny and very cute.

Sal - Missing you! - Damn compoota!

    Take care all!

Cool, c u've got a preggy belly now Tiff, lookin good. Oh I just can't wait to start buyin stuff, we've got 4 things already (b4 pg) & the other day bought another 2 small things to celebrate. The work colleague/friend that I mentioned about ages ago, said I'm not allowed to come over & buy all her stuff (she bought it all new & had 1 child, apparently she's got everything but clothes & a high chair, incl a full nursery furniture set) until after my first scan, so 3wks & counting for the scan & buying. Also, if it's multiples, will have to try & track down a matching cot, or get something similar & repaint it same. LOL.

Gabby, good thing ur on hols, so u have some time to plan that nursery, have fun, I can't wait to do that. Yep, more waiting, soo much waiting in TTC, then it just moves on to pg, I guess the huge thing everyone wants (as some of u have just confirmed) to get to is that morph/sexing scan, I know I'm hangin out for it too.

Jo, funny DH, yeah right, splodge for a bubba, hehe. Have u got a pickie of your kittens?

Amy, I totally agree, I'm sure there are going to be a few of the LT TTC girls about to graduate very shortly...

Carrie, love your website theme (teddies), great minds think alike... hehehe.

Gabbie, are u going to put some of your latest scan pickies on your 'www'? That 3d scan @ 12wks looks so cool, huge difference to the normal scan.

Hi girls! Well internet issues continue...so I am trying to duck down to the local library once a day to get on and catch up. Have to have a rant: I was on a PC and this idiot man comes up and says 'OK it's one o'clock now' and I'm thinking '...so?' Well he'd booked that PC so I had to log off (which meant I lost all my BB unread messages) and then WALK TWO STEPS to a nearby PC and log back on....THERE ARE ABOUT 8 FREE PCs and he had to have THAT one. Grrrr I want to punch him in the head (NB these are preg hormones talking!!)

Nope, haven't had an earlier scan... DP reckons he felt blobby kick, when I asked him to feel and tell me how big he thought my uterus was (you know, normal conversation to be having between a couple!). So that, combined with me getting heartburn, is convincing me (...just...) that I am really pregnant. I'm not showing, but I can feel a bump in my lower tummy, sort of feels like a really full and really big bladder. Can't wait to start showing.

Tiff, love your preg belly! And you said you weren't going to show your preg belly off

Wow, all you girls are galloping along, somehow it makes me feel that my pg is going fast (though it doesn't feel like it).

OK must go and check my uni stuff (aka the real reason I'm here at the library LOL).

    Hi everyone,

just thought I'd make my first tentative steps in here. I never thought I'd see the day!

Mainly wanted to let Cailin know that I remembered ages ago one of the old wives tales she told about having yellow baby booties in the house if you want to fall pg. Well, I told this to sister months ago, and when I started this cycle, my sister brought over her baby girl's yellow booties for me to put beside my bed.

I don't know if that did the trick, but here I am! And I hope I'm here to stay.

    love

Sush - Welcome, welcome welcome!!! (And many more congrats again!) I have had a pair of knitted yellow bootees under my pillow for my past two cycles! SO yep, it must work, but in it's own time!

Shell - I have not got the kittens yet, mid to end of September we can pick them up. I spoke to the breeder the other week and he has promised pics asap, I think they are busy with showing atm.

Tiff - We were looking at twin prams today. We are so limited in what we can get. We need the real good bouncy wheels, otherwise I won't be able to walk anywhere, won't even be able to get down the drive . And as i'm tall, we need an adjustable handlebar! We saw one today that fitted that criteria........$998.00.........!!!! If this was our first baby, the money will be spent on that pram, i just couldn't believe the price of it and the other one that i liked (which I don't think had adjustable handles) was about $600.00
What is one to do?? Do you reckon I should make DH go out and get a second job?? LOL!

We were caught in the storm just out of Shepparton today as well, then a nice big tree came crashing down over the highway! Oh what fun! Luckily there were 3 cars in front of us, otherwise I would have **** myself! We had to backtrack and drive down muddy dirt tracks to get to the Hume, which was a million miles a way in the other direction!

Sushee, welcome and congratulations! This is the best news!! One of the girls in the April thread bought the yellow booties too and it also happened for her so who knows??!!

Hope everyone is well. Sal, your internet situation sounds like a pain in the Ringo Starr.

    Love,

    Mel

    Hey Girls,

Yay Sushee and welcome!! I agree with the yellow booties, whole heartedly! My mum gave me two pairs for Mother's day. (It was the beginning of the cycle that we fell with these babies!!!! I put one pair in my pillow case and the other I carried with me at all times! Dave also bought me a moonstone bracelet which is supposed to have good fertility qualities. So I am a firm believer.

Jo, We got our from ebay, second hand for 145 dollars and it is the best thing I have ever purchased, second hand of course but in such excellent condition! When we had the first set of twins (the girls) we bought a brand new McClaren stroller, it cost us $900 then (10 years ago) was the only one available to us at the time and it was a pain in the butt! We have so much choice now. Good luck finding your dream pram.

Sal, sorry to hear about your internet troubles, have had them too today and was losing the plot, Belly Belly has become my lifeline! As for the preggy belly, it's good, isn't it? Of course it looks nothing like that in real life, it's floppy and jelly like, not round and beautiful...actually, I look nothing at all like my avatar! Also glad to here that you are feeling a bit more confident about being pg.

Shell, I look at the pram now and the few things that I have bought so far and worry that Iam doing it all too soon. With William, I left everything until 36 weeks. (maybe I knew subconciously he was not going to hang around). It's almost painful buying things but David is so positive and wanting us to move forward, so I'm going with the flow. Must agree though, it is ALWAYS exciting buying for your first baby/ies!

Glad to here Cailin is doing well, thanks Sarah.

Gab, yes definately going to find out the sex of these babies, can't wait for the morph scan. Told the specialist we NEEDED to know so he's booked us in for an extra long scan (God love that man).

    Amy, love your preggie belly!

Not much from me, not sleeping so well and having second thoughts about my antenatal care. Very confused about what I am doing. I want a certain doctor and two midwives who were with me when William was born and have stuck with me over the grieving period but now they have dropped off their level of care as they are very busy starting up a new midwifery led unit and I feel very unsupported and alone. Stupid, I know and I argue with myself constantly, you know, it's early days, second trimester, everythings going ok... but the little voice inside my head keeps saying you need care that will support you everytime you feel scared, not confident, anxious...it's the only way you'll make it through. As a midwife and having had a twin pregnancy before, I know the level of care I should be getting and then add on everything else....*sigh* I should just try to relax, I know. On a happy note, I think David and I have nutted out some names that we agree on, if we get one of each. Of course two boys names is proving hard as are two girls!!! Hehe, hope it IS one of each!

    OMG Sushee CONGRATULATIONS!! :happy4u:

I nearly fell off my chair when I saw your post, I was constantly checking out the LT TTC thread and when I didn't see you post I thought it was bad news. How fantastic!! Are you getting twin vibes?!?!?

Tiff, it must be hard to have such close support drop off a little, yes you're a midwife and a mum of twins, but you're absolutely entitled to worry a little more about this pg. I hope you feel better about things soon.

Amy, I haven't seen your av yet, sorry must duck off this PC (grrrr at internet issues, I am in such need of BB at the mome!!)
