as all have said everyone is differant but i think it dosnt hurt to here that not all inductions are bad or whatever,i have 5 kiddies and number six is on the way and i have been induced 4 times and fully expect to again as for some reason i dont like to do it on my own ,i was induced with bub 1 and 3 as my waters broke but nothing happened i was only in labour for 4 hours with number1 and 1 and a half with number 3,i was induced with numbers 2 and 5 as i was 14 days over due with both and had number 2 in 3 hours and number 5 in 50 mins mind you the only one i had on my own was in 28 mins so i guess im prone to short labours(i hope so this time to lol) and i had no pain releaf with any of them not because im against it hay im all for whatever makes it easier i was just lucky enough that by the time i thought i couldnt do it any more it was over,yes its more intense then natural iv been told my only natural was pretty intense anyway probably due to the speed but it is the end result that counts not how we get there and to be honest i think we scare ourselves and maybe make an induction that much harder because we expect it to be bad i never did i was just glad to be having my babies as i was really ready to be unpreggy
