Amygirl, in women having a first baby with IOL there is a significant increase in c-section rates, even with a favourable cervix. For subsequent babies the risk of c-sections decrease.
I have a really good article (it's a review) from a clinical journal which details the various outcomes of induction of labour in reasonably simple terms however I'm reluctant to post it in case I infringe copyright. Are any mods able to tell me if I can post it or not?
