Another thing I forgot to mention that once an induction starts you are basically committed to it. Most inductions do go well, but you do have to prepare yourself for the possibility that you will need futher intervention, as is the case for any birth. Time limits will be put on you and you have to really think about the type of birth you want - do you really want a natural birth with no intervention or are you open to the use of drugs (peth/epidural). An induction may be quicker, but they are a lot harder physically on your body as they make your uterus contract.

And in no way am I trying to put you off having one if that's what you really want, but you need to do yourself and your baby the favour of finding out all the information you can about it and then making the decision that is right for you.
