They did say I could come in if I would like to. I told them I would see how I go. Maybe I will make a trip up to my local G.P and get a urine test and bp check again.

What happens to the baby if I have high b.p?? I am still feeling movement and cervix pains.

The change would make me want to see and assess you. Get checked as it is indicative of pre-eclampsia.

Definitely go and get some other checks at the hospital! You can't mess around with pre eclampsia... it can come on very quickly. I don't want to freak you out, but it is definitely worth checking out. 140/90 is the standard value for high bp, but if you have a substantial jump when you normally have reasonably low bp it can also signal a problem. I had very high bp with my first pregnancy and still felt plenty of fetal movement and felt fine, but blood flow to the baby can be compromised and your internal organs can start to shut down. Don't worry about inconveniencing anyone, that is what they are there for.

High BP can be sign of PE, which can be very serious for you and baby as berrme says. Also don't want to freak you out, but worth getting a check. If hossy said you can go in, i would go. It may be nothing, just high BP due to pregnancy which can happen, but always best to be on the safe side.

In my case, due to PE my placenta was shutting down, DD was born a pretty average length but only 2.6kgs. Basically she wasn't getting enough nutrients from the placenta. I didn't realise quite how serious it was until she was born. Then i finally understood why everyone was freaking out about my BP and the fact she had stopped growing.

WEll jsut got back from my doctors went there as its a little closer to me. My bp has come down from this arvo to 124/85. Still a bit higher than my usual but they said that was a good result. Will def keep a close eye on it and will go to the hoss straight away if I something doesnt feel right.

Thankyou for all the info girls.

Great to hear love. The anxiety of worrying about your BP can often put it up too. Hopefully it wont be too long and your little one will be here!
