Definitely go and get some other checks at the hospital! You can't mess around with pre eclampsia... it can come on very quickly. I don't want to freak you out, but it is definitely worth checking out. 140/90 is the standard value for high bp, but if you have a substantial jump when you normally have reasonably low bp it can also signal a problem. I had very high bp with my first pregnancy and still felt plenty of fetal movement and felt fine, but blood flow to the baby can be compromised and your internal organs can start to shut down. Don't worry about inconveniencing anyone, that is what they are there for.
