1 1/2 tablespoons gelatin
1 1/4 cups of Unsweetened Apple Juice
1 1/2 cups of Heinz Baby Pear Juice
1/2 cup of pureed apricot
Place the apple juice and pear juice into a microwave safe container, and heat for around 4 minutes (until quite hot). Alternatively, heat on the stove top. Add gelatin, and stir until completely dissolved. Add pureed apricot and stir well (sometimes I give it a quick blast with the bamix).
Pour into suitable containers and refridgerate until set (you can then store them in the cupboard).
I found this makes enough for 6 portions, as I re-cycle the little Heinz/Golden Circle Custard Jars.
As an alternative, you could use other pureed fruits or fruit juices (e.g. orange juice, apple juice & crushed pineapple).
Good question Sarah....to be honest I don't know!! I would just say to give it to your baby whenever you know they are fine with the ingredients so you know there isn't going to be any kind of allergic reaction. But, having said that, Heinz makes a similar fruit gel and it's suitable for all ages, from 4 months.
