ladies - quick question... my best friends are getting married this saturday (my best friend is marrying DH best mate) and we are bridesmaid and groomsman... im not much of a drinker but wasnt sure if its ok to have a champagne with the speeches etc?? my friends keep saying have a drink, 'relax' and have a good time but i dont know whether its advisable to have a few during the 2ww?? it would be 5dpo... what are your opinions about me having a couple??? would hate to jeopardise anything for the sake of a few!!!

wow, so many posts so apologies in advance if i miss anyone...

T-hopes i would say a few drinks are ok. the baby does not tap into mothers blood supply till after implantation, which is around 12 days after fertilisation according to my book. hope your signs are correct and you get your bfp confirmed soon

Matthew's Mum well looks like things are moving faster for you now! hope you get some answers on what to do next.

ferrals4 at least you know where you are now in your cycles. hope you don't need that appointment!

craftymummy9 oooh how cute! i bet they are adorable. i keep pestering my dh for us to get another kitten, but he won't budge hoping you get your bfp soon!

ric why would your friend tell you one thing but other people something else?!?
and i hope you tested too early! when is af due? what kind of tests are you using?

CarriePS hi and glad you have joined us on here - well i mean sorry for your loss but glad crafty has directed you to this thread. planting a tree was a very nice idea that will remind you of him as it grows. you will find a lot of support on here, and i think it's a bit addictive to keep checking up how everyone is getting on with their ttc journeys.
as a side addition, i am a pom too, i emigrated 3 years ago and don't live too far from crafty!

afm, well af is due any time from now till sunday. i have not tested again, as i'm trying to do everything different from last time, when i got my bfp at 30 days. but i feel like af is on her way. my cramps have moved more to the centre, where as they were only on my right side before

    Good morning ladies....

Well i finally got my results on HCG levels they are dropping pretty fast since we lost our lil and i knew they was cause i already lost the baby..
Dec 14,09 is when we found out we were prego && the HCG levels were 21208.0
Dec 18,09 Results dropped to 16085.0 reason for this blood work so early they didnt see anything or heart beat for the sac to be so big..
Dec 22,09 is when we found out we lost the our @ 7 weeks 6 days. to Blighted ovum which i really believe i was misdiagnosed from what i saw on Dec 29..
Then yesterdays Blood work levels were 24..
Im going tomorrow to the Ob/Gyn and discuss some stuff with her and to make sure everything is fine... Had a natural pass on Dec 29.09 so im not sure about the D&C now till i go see her tomorrow.
From reading up on D&C i heard it causes scarring but hell i have Endo so im already scarred from the 2 laps. but if i dont need it i dont want it..

    So have a question??
For us to even get prego again the levels have to be <5?? is 24 to high for me to even O?

See im all new to this O, checking temp,charting..We just been ttc with out no help for 9 yrs..

So any help on what to do next to make it alittle easier for us would be appreciated..

    Hey Ladies!

TTCALC- i am not an expert but i am pretty sure that you do not O unless your HCG levels are under 5. You levels dropping is a gret sing tho, hopefully your body gets it act together soon!!!

Ferrals- did you win the fertility monitor? i am sorry AF came but at least now you know where you are. I cant believe that they lost your photos of little Abbi.. it is horrible. I look a tthe photos I have of Kyarna and i get a bit angry, i hav eseen some beautiful ones of other little bubs but no one offered to put a little hat on kyarna or dress her... I am sorry taht you dont have them but your memories of her will never leave!Your FS seems to have given you some really reasuring advice.. i hope that this is you month chick... a honey moon baby would be awesome!!!!!!

Carrie- I am that everything goes well on the 15th. How are your girls going with all of this? It is so hard to watch them try and grasp it where you cant hardly get your own head around it.

Mathews Mum- sorry i seem to be a bit behind, are you going to be doing IVF? i hope i read your last post right! when do you start?
I am shocked that you didnt get any testing done... i thought it was standard with a 2nd trimester loss.. i didnt ask for any testing it was just done, they told me that i could decline but they recomend it..

DOry- how are you, i havent seen you around latley but im not sure if that is cause i have been MIA.. I hope everything is going ok, where abouts are you in your cycle?

Ric- I hope that you have been testing just a little bit too early? When will you be testing again??

T hopes- everything sounds promising!! that it is OUR month and we join Belly buddies together... !!! I am pretty sure you will be right to have one or two but i wouldn do anymore than that!! i hope the wedding is an enjoyable one!

Crafty Mummy- aqww little piggy babies! they are so small! i am glad that they are giving you something to think about! only 9 days to go!!!''

SPF- I hope that what you are feeling is not AF i am envious of your will power i cant do it... gee i even test the day i get AF just incase it is an implantation bleed... i know not at all logical but i do... i think i test like every freaking week of a cycle ROFL maybe i should buy OPK at least then i will get to se 2 lines occasionaly! ROFL

ok so i dont think i have missed anyone that has poisted in the last 2 pages ROFL

Ha ha ha ha sounds just like DH and I. My last cycle DH wasn't feeling well and I knew when I was going to ovulate so I let him have a rest but I was not passing up on the night before O. I told him in the am "ok so tonight we BD" and he said "no not tonight I'm really not feeling well". I broke down and startedf crying cuz I couldn't stand the thought of wasting a month. Then I told him "well better suck it up cuz were having sex tonight anyways " He was mad at me but he put out anywyas and I got my BFP that month. So good luck catching your egg! LOL

Mummyof4- Yes i won the fertility monitor for $93 it is practicly brand new cant wait for it to get here and It was terrible about our photos we threatened to sue the hospital and all but after we calmed down it was one stupid nurses fault not the hospital all the midwives i had were fantastic and i have had all 4 of my kids there so i wrote a big nasty letter telling them that nurse needs to be retrained and from now on a new memory card should be inserted into the camera for each stillborn baby and we got the little pink hat and cardi and booties were still a bit big but we have no photos of her in it just the one photo of her little face wrapped in a bunny rug and her footprints i can see the stiches at the bottom of her neck from the autopsy but she looked peaceful so i was ok she will always be in my memory and dreams.
LOL that is so funny when men dont feel like it bad luck for us when we dont we still manage to do it they are such sook's.

SPF-i hope its implantation pain you are feeling.

TTCALC-as far as i have read yes your levels need to be under 5 but you can practice while you wait.

AFM-i'm off to work i will check back in later tonight.

Ferrals- it must be a relief to know that you've still got lots of eggs left, and lots of time to spend them, so to speak. The fact that you're now getting the AF you were promised a month ago makes it sound like your body still hadn't fully processed everything until now - but now it's catching up, which is good. I can't imagine how livid you would be at that nurse - I remember how I felt when I thought when I thought DH had thrown out Peanuts u/s photo.
Matthews mum - that's great that they've moved up your appt. Also that they are doing follow up with you, rather than you having to do all the work!
Ric - I always got my BFP's with Discover.
THopes - I live way out SE, Pakenham. I'm seeing an OB in Berwick, Dr Lopes. He's laid back in a "don't you worry about blank, it's my job to worry about blank" kind of way, but still acknowledged my right to be freaked and always ordered tests that seemed necessary. And has an awesome sense of humour - had me in stitches when I thought true laughter was something I wouldn't experience for a long time. /end plug. I've got my fingers crossed for the big veins! And just think of all those babies created by alcohol...
TTCALC - JEALOUS! It's taking you like a week to get the sort of drop I'm still waiting for after 2 months! That does sound right about o'ing, as long as there is hcg in your system, your body is going to assume that you are not in need of any more eggs, so to speak.
This is already quite long - that'll teach me for staying away for 22 hours! Hello to all those I've missed - stay strong.
AFM - It's Thursday, which means I've got to go see the vampire. I'm estimating about a 65.

mummyof4 - thanks for responding, doubt i will have any anyway, might just do the fake drinking ie orange juice mixed with lemonade - looks like champagne!! good little trick! I havent had a single drink since June 09 (b4 i was pregnant) just doesnt feel right to drink cause i 'should' be 29 weeks right now PS funny story about CM, my DH calls me the bank teller and all he does is make deposits! lol
crafty - sounding good so far!! my fingers are crossed for you!!!! xx
spf - hold out on that testing!!! your doing a great job!!! got a good feeling about you missy!!!
TTClovechild - good news to hear your levels have dropped again, hopefully your body gets back on track right away to get you closer to your BFP! big hugs to you xx

hi to those i have missed!

Murrycod-we are off to sussex inlet down the south coast we have a beach house for a week so a week of quiet, beach walks ,games, picnic lunches, dinner out every night we have one TV so that is going to be a challenge with my 3 boys DH daughter and my son's girlfriend so we are taking the wii for back up you might be wondering why we are taking all the kids i think i said before we all have had such a stressful year with the loss of abbi and all the dr's appt's and geneticist appt and ivf ect and my boys did it hard to so this is a week for all of us to relax and enjoy and remember that life is supose be fun and DH and i have decided it is a week of yes we wont say no to anything within reason what ever the kids want we will say yes even it is lollies for breakfast
DH and i are going away for a weekend to the gold coast during the year anyway good luck with your U/S hope you have lots of big follies growing.

Craftmummy-LOL with the pitching a tent remark my DH had one this morning and i though what a waste and you can add a small photos to your ticker on some ticker sights or i go to photobucket and you add photos by making an album once you register it is free and then it will give you a code to use it was the IMB code you copy the code and paste it on to your next post it takes a bit of fiddling til you get it but give it a go go to Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket oh! you have to have to photos in your computer first to load onto photobucket.

Mathewsmum-do they know how your tubes became blocked as you were pregnant just over a year ago and have had children already i was wondering how it could happen.

Matthew's mum was the dye done in a HSG or a lap? Its just I have heard that the HSG isn't as reliable for determining blocked tubes as the lap and dye is.
ric hope AF doesn't show and you are pregnant it just hasn't revealed itself yet. I got a stupid BFN too. Well 3 actually.
murraycod I hope your sacn went well today.
I am waiting for AF then onto the next month. Just researching into which IVF clinic I am going to use. I have three options.

ferrals-they said it could be a 'build up of things over the years',after matthew came away there was heaps of bleeding,so they said some could of went up instead of out. Before my loss i feel pregnant very easily, docs at 1st said with menopause approaching things slow down so that where clomid came in,according to blood, urine test clomid was doing what it supposed to do,on the u/s eggs were visible.I'm seeing my fs next week to ask some ?..Emmy-It was hsg, they did say some doc's do a lap to confirm, sorry about bfn, good luck with your options you have...

Ferrals how lovely!!! I'm sure all of the kids will have a great time, it's just so nice of you and DH to think of putting the kids first for the week on your honeymoon...happy kidds=happy Mum and Dad!! And you deserve the weekend away to the Gold Coast, you and the family have all been through so much.
I can absolutely appreciate what you went through now with your cycle of PGD IVF, the high hopes one day then bitter dissapointment the next. Not only the emotional toll, but physical, OMG!!! Had no idea, have no idea how you were able to do what you did, and love and look after your family at the same time. You should be a very proud woman!!!X

Ric so sorry about the BFN hun XXXXX Take it easy the next few days XXXXX
It's amasing how the next 2 wks will fly, but the dreaded TWW goes sooooo slow! X

Matthew'sMum good luck with the FS no matter what happens, as we all know, worth it in the end, so we just have to take each hurdle on the chin X No matter how much it hurts at the time

TTCALC sorry your appt was cancelled because of the darn weather, you can have some of ours if you want, going to be min 43degrese for the next few days here. Jan26th should be the day I get my results back for our first IVF try, so lets hope that we both get some good news on that day!xx

Snugglybean home before you know it! Congratulations for your official START DAY today I do hope it's not long before we are all celebrating your BFP.
Good Luck hun, and have a safe trip home XXX

Emmy sorry for the 3 BFN's, I understand how hard it is starting off a new month, esp when AF isn't here yet X Would be nice if she didn't come at all!X

Craftymummy BE STRONG you can do it!!! None of us can't!!! Show us how it's done babe!!!!! How's the twin Gpigs??? (just trying to take your mind away)...

Well anyways, thanks for asking ladies, I had my scan done thismorning, and my bloodwork. Should have all official results thisafternoon sometime. But we counted avg 10eggies on each ovary, left ovary was the most success with average size 18-22mm. Right side average was 15-19mm. No wonder I cant even walk properly.

Ferrals were you in this much discomfort before EPU?? It hurts to walk, sit, OMG driving over bumps is agony, and almost passed out when I sneazed thismorning. Still hve constipation and have been drinking lots, but I can't seem to be holding fluids in, my bladder feels like it is getting shoved over and I'm peeing ever half hour!
Seriouse I am definately not complaining, it is so worth all of the discomfort and needles, I just had no idea it would be this uncomfortable! Am I normal ferrals

Take care all, will pop by when I get my oficcial results XXX

Craftymummy - what is with those boob pin *****s? I remember having those!
Ferrals - you're honeymoon sounds absolutely perfect...can I come too?!
Ric - it's not over till then witch sings...and like your DH says next month is just around the corner.
    Snuggly -
TTCALC - GRRR! I hate having things rearranged on me at the last minute. I often wound up being called and told "you need to come in tomorrow/2 days from now". Considering I've just been working casually, it's really difficult to organise.
Matthew's mum - lets hope the fs has some positive news for you and that the ivf is a winner for you.
Emmy - good luck picking your clinic
Murray cod - the agony is just preparation for the part that comes next! Hanging to see your results...

Got my hcg result this morning. 86. At this rate it's going to be JULY before I hit negative. I don't know if I can take this anymore. Losing the motivation to want to bother with any of it anymore.
