Hello, am home on my own with the girls, dh is out with some mates. I have been busy making an Elmo cake as we are having a family bbq dinner for Olivias birthday. It turned out great. We haveto go shopping in the morning for all the food, so its going to be busy.

I cant believe that both the girls are in bed asleep by 8...well Olivia went at 730, Becca at 8. Rebecca will wake up for one more feed around 10 though. Our plan with dropping Olivias day sleep seems to work so far in that she has been going to bed muh easier and any where between 7 and 730. For the past 2 nights she has slept through, I dont know if its the calm before the storm, but am enjoying it. Just means we have to get up at 630 am but I dont mind! I got to feel in her mouth and her bottom 2 molars are almost through, so am hoping that that was the issue. I can tell you shes a much happier girl when she sleeps properly.

Rebecca had her needles yesterday and she really had a good cry. She was a bit clingy afterwards but shes ok today. Shes sleeping pretty good too at the moment. She wakes up between 630 and 8am. This morning she woke Olivia up!

Well, tonight I am going to relax infront of the tv and computer, then after Beccas feed I will be asleep....hopefully!!

Hope you are all having a good weekend

Not sure if this link will work but I put a pic of my cake! Oh and the eyes are yellow coz I got a pack of m and ms thinking the would have brown, but no, the whole pack was yellow coz of that comp they have on!!!!

Wow Mel, you did a great job with the cake! Can I put an order in for a Thomas one for Ben's birthday?
How good that Olivia seems to have sorted out her sleep now. The poor little things, these molars look like they are a real problem. Last time I tried to feel Ben's though he bit me so I'm not keen to check the progress anymore!

We have had a good couple of nights sleep here too. 7.5hrs on Friday night and 6hrs last night Apparently Ben woke up twice last night, but I only heard him once! Craig got up to him though, which was great. I had a nap this afternoon too so I'm feeling well-rested right now.

The girls from my mother's group had a get together for the kids at the Botanic Gardens today and it was really good. Ben loved it and is really enjoying playing with other kids now. It was so cute hearing the other kids yell out "Beeeeeeeen" when they wanted his attention. There is no denying it now.... they are little kids not babies We also had Craig's soccer this morning so we were out in the sunshine nearly all day. Hopefully that will keep Ben's boredom at bay because it looks like it's going to rain here for the next four days!

Hey All, well we had a fantastic little party for Olivia and the cake was a hit!!! We changed the eyes to black, so it didnt look so weird! But it tasted nice. The best part was when we were singing happy birthday and Olivia realised they were singing for her and she was so excited and she tried to blow out the candles, and stabbed the cake! She got a few pressies, mainly clothes, a book, the new wiggles dvd which is on now, a little suitcase, a huge uspey daisy stuffed toy and $210 in cash. I was happy she didnt get any more toys!!! Shes so much happier playing with formula tins and pegs, or getting out in the yard.
By the end of the night I was feeling realyy dizzy and like I was about to pass out. We had such a crappy sleep, and early morning, shopping cooking cleaning, then people over. I realised that I had only had a coffee at breakfast and forgot to drink, so that and being tired wasnt good. Luckily we had a good sleep, although becca was up at 5am and wouldnt go back to sleep, so I oput er in bed with us!!

Olivias birthday is on Wednesday. I still have no idea what to get her. I was wanting to get her a clock to teach her the time. I wanted to get an anologue one, but I dunno! Any ideas, anyone seen anything educational to teach the time? I know shes probably not quite there to learn it...but ...oh shes done wees poos....better run.

Oh and we are going to a free council run teddy bears picnic today with animals and face painting and story telling and clowns...I'm so excited!!!

    Hi!

Mel - Yeah on Becca having some good sleeps for you! Glad Olivia has had some better nights as well! I cant' believe all our bubs will be 2 this month! How time flies!
I'm more of a fan of the treadmill than the x trainer - I think you just need to get what you like better though...
LOL at being clucky - you crazy woman! hehehe!
Ooh how good are you making an elmo cake! Well done! Glad you had such a nice day! Good luck trying to decide what to get her - we've got a FP clock thing which is pretty good but I don't think they're in the shops anymore. Does she like puzzles? Dylan is obsessed with puzzles at the moment...I don't know what to get him for his b'day either though - they've got so many toys - I laybyed one of those new little dinosaur toys and a book and some more glow in the dark stickers for his ceiling but I have no idea what else to get him...maybe a scooter?
Ooh the teddy bears picnic sounds great!! Hope you have a nice day!

Dis - Poor Ben - hope he's better now. Thats great Jareds sleeping so well for you! Good for you going to the gym - well done!! Ooh the photo of Jared sounds cute!

Kaz - Hey! How are you?? Hope you guys are well!

Jen - I'm glad dh apologised!! Yeah at getting your L's soon! You'll LOVE it!
With time out - You can say whatever but I say "if you do ? again you'll go to the door" and then if he does it or chucks a wobbly or whatever than I either pick him up and put him there, walk him there or now because he's used to it he takes himself! LOL! He then stays for a minute and then I go in and say - we don't hit/throw or whatever and then I ask him to say sorry and cuddles and kisses and then off he goes...He probably only goes there once or twice a day at most I'd say....Often now it works often with just a threat of the door - if he won't brush his teeth or whatever I give him a choice - would you like to brush your teeth or go to the door (if he hasn't listened the first couple of times!) and then he usually is fine to brush his teeth - although sometimes he's particulary stubborn and chooses the door! LOL!
Also, another thing I do sometimes now that works well is just walk away from him. If he won't get dressed I just walk away and he usually cracks it and then I walk back in a minute later and say are you ready now? and he usually says yes!
It's definitely not worth getting into a battle with them and best not to get worked up yourself as these little monkeys thrive on it sometimes...all easy in theory I know...LOL!
I have no doubt that if we had all the time away from kids that our dh's get we would cope much better! I'm just having to get myself to a place where I can do that without guilt!!! I even feel guilty for going to work in an evening...how silly is that!!! When I've got to cope with them all day when he's at work...I really need to change my thinking I think...that's the main problem...

As for us...well, we had a huge weekend really...I was up until after midnight Fri night tidying up the house and getting things organised for Dh's b'day bbq on Sat. I made him an ice cream cake with sprinkles - LOL!!! He doesn't like normal cake so I treated him like the big kid that he is! LOL! So Saturday was busy busy but really nice to have the family around - the kids had a ball. Yesterday dh slept in until after 12pm and then I took Ethan around to my friends so she could take some of my pants up - I'm a shorty and am sick of them all dragging on the ground - LOL!
So I ended up cracking it again last night - dh had such a big sleep in and then I was out with the baby and Louis & Dylan slept half the afternoon and then he was cranky last night!!!!!! I couldn't believe it. He did clean up the kitchen mess while I was out but was still reluctant to help with the baby or anything...I think I'm just so tired I'm not thinking straight and everythings getting blown out of proportion. Anyway, we had yet another chat which I know will achieve absolutely nothing.
I think a lot of it that I spend all day, everyday looking after everyone else it would be nice just occasionally to feel like I'm getting looked after - iykwim??
I don't know - I'm sorry for sooking so much on this forum at the moment...I'm sure I"ll snap out of this feeling soon...
I haven't had a nap or sleep in in nearly 2 months now and I think I'm in desperate need! LOL!

Ok..better go and get the kids organised...I don't need to go out today so I think I'm going to have a lazy day...well as lazy as I can anyway - LOL! Chat later!

heys ladies - still waiting on the specialist to tell me when i can get the mirena removed

OMG, Pip did the silliest thing on Saturday afternoon - we went to woolies and he was quiet at the end of an aisle - too quiet. I looked at him looking at the easter bunnies and picked him up, he can complete with easter bunny in his mouth! When I bought it the checkout operator asked if I knew it was broken .. she saw Pip and went "oh. OK." When DH went in later, he said there were another 3 bunnies which had the ears bitten off ... cheeky monkey!

Kris - you are so busy! I get tired just reading about you! And Mel, how's O going now, settling a bit?

Foxtel man finally came, time for me to go to work!

Mel, that's great that the girls are still sleeping better. Happy to hear that the cake was a hit I"m thinking I will just order one of those edible icing disc thingys and stick it on a cake. Last year we spent $50 on a cake! Not doing that again.

Kris, you need a sleep! I could NOT survive without at least one nap a week and I only have two kids. Good luck getting rid of the mummy guilt. I don't know if it's possible. I know I feel guilty over the silliest things!

Kaz, I don't really blame Pip for chowing down on the bunnies. I've often thought of it myself

We had another good night last night Spent all day at home today. Managed to make the house mildly presentable, which was good because my mum dropped by on a surprise visit with one of my nieces and then my dad, brother and nephew dropped in as well! When Craig got home from work and realised mum was here he whispered to me "Glad you did some housework this morning!" Yep, it really was THAT bad from the weekend

I"m getting so many smiles and laughs from Jared. It's awesome. He's SO easy to get to smile or giggle. We used to have to really work on Ben, but J is a smiley boy. Ben is starting to take a bigger interest in him now and is even sharing his cars with him, which is a big achievement since he LOVES his cars

As for birthday presents, Ben is getting more Thomas stuff to go on his big track. It's set up in our home theatre room and we'll just add these pieces to it. Craig can't wait

We went to the teddy bears picnic today and had fun!!! Olivia didnt want to go home. This arvo Olivia pushed her little cart into Beccas head...ofcourse she screamed...for ages and has her first bruise. Then Olivia banged er mouth and has a fat lip. Olivia went to bed at 615 today, she was so tired I suppose from the big weekend and big day we had today... hopefully she will have a great sleep and will have a happy day tomorrow.
Kristie....what was that clock you had? Think I might go shopping tomorrow and have a look. Hugs.... I can look after the boys while you get some rest?!?!?
Kaz- good to hear from you. Thats so funny about Pip and the bunny. Olivia doesnt miss a trick now with chocolate. I had some m&ms today (snuck them in). She must have smelt them on my breath as she was looking for choccie frog!!! Good luck with the specialist.

Mel, glad the boys are sleeping well. And arent those smiles great! Beccas laughing a lot now too, so cute. Ok shes up....chat soon

    Hello!
My silly mobile broadband is so bloomin slow, I have to wait till I am patient enough to try and post!
We went to playgroup yesterdayday (its on twice a week at the church if I want to go twice...) because we didnt get to go on Thurs cause of Beau's meltdown (and mine), I have decided its a healthy way to start the week instead of cleaning the house or similar! Puts me in a better frame of mind. Anyway, we have been pretty good, had a girlfriend here all weekend which was great, got to catch up on lots of goss. On Friday night my back was really sore, and my arms and I woke up shivering in the middle of the night in pain - I thought I was getting the flu but nothing has eventuated - weird. Today I have a massive migraine - we went to the shop and it was a bit stressful, Beau is very aware now of doughnut king etc and its a bit of a tantie fest now days when he doesnt get what he wants.
Kaz - Thats great advice with the door/step - I think I am still treating him like a baby a lot of the time IYKWIM? I change our house around so much - it might have to be a doorway or something cause there isnt one chair that stays in the same spot for long!!! I walk away from Beau when he is throwing a tantie, and move form room to room ignoring him but it doesnt have much effect by that time I dont think. You sound like you are just on edge atm, its fair enough you feel like you are looking after everyone else and no one is looking after you - say it! Do it in a cheeky way if you think it will start a fight - let him get the message though!
Kaz - Sounds like Pip has good taste!
Mel - Thats great Olivia had a cool party, good on you with the cake! She sounds adorable with her tins and pegs not 'real' toys. Ikea used to have wooden tell time clocks, not sure if they still do. You sound like you need some down time, its a bit scary getting dizzy, look after yourself! Her sleeps sound way better, I think if you can get through the day ok, at least you know you have a better night sleep waiting for you IYKWIM? (other than Becca of course!)
Dis - Jared and Ben's photo sounds super sweet, nice to have them in the same poses too - the kids sound cute calling out to Ben! You are like me, I am keeping Beau outside while it is fine...I am dreading the rain, hope it doesnt eventuate! A whole week indoors is.....eeewww! Hope Ben's hives are better - I use Hydrozole on Beau's excema when its bad, its pretty strong so I only use a bit but it works well - does it help his athletes foot? (ps how did he get that?) His train sounds awesome! We have the Ikea set (me and my simple design....) which he is starting to get into.
Anyway, the computer is hurting my head x

Happy birthday little MissyMoo for tomorrow!

Well today Pip's sick, I was hoping to go to the garden show by myself but not to be. And he will only sleep on our bed! Lucky it's a king!
Mel - well done on the shopping, isn't it liberating! And I've only got one - no idea how you're coping with 2, or Kris with 3 !!!!!!

Jen - good luck with the discipline, its so hard isn't it? Pip bit me really hard on Saturday and I still have the bit mark ... right on my shoulder, its quite sore too.

    cya!

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY OLIVIA!!!

    Far out, two already!

Mel, enjoy the day! Good on you with the baking. Must be something in the air as I've made both muffins and cupcakes in the past week!
Lucky you with the shopping. I got two hours last week but it was in total so with the drive time I only had an hour in the shops. Better than nothing though!

Jen, no idea how Ben got athletes foot. It was while we were camping, but he never went into the amenities block so I don't know! It seems to have cleared up now though. We have stronger cortisone cream for when Ben gets bad eczema.
Isn't this rain horrible? I'm over it already, it just hasn't stopped at all! The boys have been driving me nuts this morning. The good news is that Craig's soccer training has been cancelled for tonight - yay!
Take care of yourself. That bad feeling/back pain could have been the precursor to the migraine. In hindsight I can always see that I felt icky on the morning before a migraine hits.

Kaz, hope Pip feels better soon.

We have a horrible rainy day here I was going to take the kids to a playland, but Ben was being a pest before he went down for his nap - early today he really needed it. I'm hoping he'll have a marathon nap because he had a big day yesterday playing with his cousin at my mum's.

Jared had an awesome night again. I slept SO soundly that I didn't wake up once. J went from 11pm until 6am again! I woke up before him because my boobs were hurting and leaking all over the place I'm loving his long sleeps.

The gym is going really well. I'm finding that I can run just a little bit longer on the treadmill already. It's still just a teeny amount of time running, but it's getting a bit longer each time so I'll be able to run for a normal amount of time soon. I'm feeling really good after every session - but sometimes it's all undone on the drive home. Jared just doesn't like being in the capsule. I have to admit he looks really uncomfortable as he so big already. We've ordered a Maxi-Rider for Ben so as soon as that arrives we'll move J into Ben's seat.

Okay, I've waffled. Time to go and enjoy the peace and quiet while it lasts

hey Mel hope you are feeling better today....at least the weather is crappy so you guys arent missing out on anything outside! Glad Olivia had a nice birthday. I think Beau will be getting a trike/push bike and a car garage. Has anyone seen a good car garage around? He loves the one at playgroup. And maybe a big boy bed too - before winter. I am hoping I can tuck him in better with a proper matress and he might (might) stay under the warm covers.....
Dis - Yeah a booster seat is on our list too, especially after being told by a new mum at playgroup yesterday how huge Beau is (he is the same exact size as another boy his same age there) - She then apologised later! Does this ever stop??? Glad you are getting some decent sleep and enjoying your gym sessions. I have stopped drinking alcohol, thats my big concession for fitness atm!! How over this weather are you? I just looked at the long range thingi on foxtel and its showers all next week.....AGGGHHHHH!!!!!!

    Hi!

    Happy Belated Birthday Olivia!!!!!!!!!
I'm so glad she had a great day - Yeah at all those pressies!! (The boys have a Fisher Price clock)
I'm soo sorry to hear you've got the flu now! A sign you've been running around too much!! Yeah at the 4 hours of shopping on your own! Woohoo!
Mel, thanks for the offer of babysitting but I couldn't do that too you! LOL! I appreciate it though!!

Jen - Glad you had a great weekend! Bugger Beau likes donut king a bit much - LOL! Maybe try and give him a snack when you get in the centre - some cut up apple or crackers or something and he might be too distracted to notice???
Sorry to hear you've got a migraine - that sucks! Hope you're all better now!
We have had beautiful weather down here lately but I think the rains on the way! I'm thinking we may be making a few treks to some play centres over winter...

Kaz - Sorry to hear Pip's sick - Ouch on that biting! You poor thing - I hope he stops soon!!

Disgirl - Glad to hear you're going well! Yeah on the running - I usually start off by going run 1min, walk 4 then when thats easy run 2min, walk 3min and so on - that's how I build up to running for 30min straight (before kids - LOL!)
Glad the boys are sleeping well for you!!!

A reminder to Mel/Kaz if you want to come over tomorrow arvo your more than welcome - 2-4pm...it's all very casual I'm just going to have some books out and it will be a gasbag really... Let me know!!

As for us, I'm feeling much better this week! I think it must have just been hormones or something! I went shopping last night and bought up at Esprit!! Omg - spent way to much but I have such nice clothes - I've never done such a big (or expensive!) shopping trip for myself...so nice!!
Dh is away for the weekend and I've got a huge one! Everyone coming around tomorrow arvo for my Book Look and then I have girlfriends coming over for a SATC movie night and drinks and sleepover!! About 5 of them so it will be so much fun! Then Sun is my niece's 10th b'day party and then I'm maybe babysitting for Cindy Sun night...So...probably won't chat until Monday! LOL!
Dh told me he's got 10 days off over Easter though so that will be sooo nice!
Boys are well - Ethans hardly slept all day yesterday and was hard to settle last night but he then slept from about 9pm - 7.30am! No complaints there! LOL!
Dylans just so gorgeous - he's counting to 20 and starting to recognise some letter and numbers. He's talking sooo much!! (although you usually need to be mum or dad to understand him sometimes! LOL) B'day presents I'm struggling with - I got him a little dinosaur, big finding nemo floor puzzle, star stickers for the ceiling and a dinosaur book....beyond that I'm stuck...Might just have to be a little birthday - mind you - he's having a party so he's going to get lots of presents then as well...
Louis is well - he's just so grown up...and so clever! He's usually explaining things to me now!! LOL!

Ok...better go and get some stuff done! Chat later!

Hello. well I'm still sick, but much better than last week. Just a head cold now. The girls are good, although Olivias sleep has been topsy tervy over the past few nights, with a few tanties in the wee hours all because I wont sleep on the floor next to her. Beccas sleep has also been sque-if....shes been very unsettled and the other night she took a good hour to settle. She is not a crying baby, but she cried and sobbed for the whole time, I have no idea why, but I eventually got her to sleep by holding her so tight to me. She was sooky all yesterday too. She doesnt like it when we leave her. At least last night was the best sleep shes had in ages. Actually last night was the best sleep I had in ages too.
Well I got a cross trainer off ebay and it fits in the corner of the lounge. Its a bit loud, but it does the job and I have already lost 1 kg by doing exercise. We dont eat bad, I just dont exercise.
Anyhow, hope everyone is doing well. We are off camping for easter, up at halls gap, which is about 4 hours drive. Not looking forward to the drive and have some reservations about going... with sterilizing bottles, with night feeds, with Olivia sleeping.....oh its doing my head in, but I have to just do it!

    Ok got to run
