So sorry to hear both you & Kate are going through the same non-sleep/seperation anxiety problems I am with Maddy. If Maddy can't see Mummy but she knows I'm home...it's on for young and old. If I'm out and she knows I'm not around (or hasn't worked it out), then she's ok. *rolls eyes*

Kate, I've been thinking about your night thing where you said she sleeps in your room. Do you have a dimmer light in your bedroom or a lamp with a really low wattage light bulb? Perhaps if there is just enough light in the room when she wakes up so that she can see you, maybe Jasmine will just roll over and go back to sleep feeling reassured that Mummy is just there? Not ideal if you're used to sleeping in the complete dark, but that's what I did when Maddy was still sleeping in our room.
