buzzie - my pap test was really uncomfotable as well, I just couldn't relax
hey everyone! we have just got back from a week in melbourne for my grandma's 90th. the flight down was horrible, as both kids were asleep so we were stuck in uncomfortable positions holding them for hours on end- and walking with bags and babies (no pram/sling) was close to impossible... but we managed. i wrote olly's dob a month later so he appeared under 2 so we didn't have to pay for his ticket down, but declared his proper age and paid full price on the way back... i needn't have bothered, both times no one asked for i.d and there was plenty of seats and he didn't sit in his seat at all anyway. he ran up and down the aisle talking to anyone who'd look at him, making friends, scamming food and speaking indonesian. the virginblue cabin crew loved him.
the party itself was great - mylo, smiled at all the rellies and put up with being handed around all day loong. olly ran amok with the other kids and basked in the adoring attention of the adults. the week we were there involved non stop dinners and bbq's and get togethers- it was exhausting but awesome. glad to be home. first thing i did once home was get myself a double pram ($20 on ebay!) so i can get lots of exercise. i'm not pg (phew) so i have no excuse for all the chocolate and cake and icecream the holiday involved. went for a big walk this morning with the kids and feel great (but v hungry). loving my boys and loving my life right now. hope everyone is going good, x Lara

Hi Girls,
Been MIA a bit lately myself - busy being busy I guess!
All is going well for us, so no complaints here!
H - hope Chrissies cold clears up soon -maybe get some Fess into her little nostrils so she can breathe easy & keep feeding.
Lara - your hols sound great (except lugging the kids through the airport - yuck!). What a bargain getting the double pram for $20.00 - I paid $66.00 for a double pram on ebay & thought I did great!! Bet it was nice to meet up with some of the other BB girls....
Re: pap smears...I had one at the 6 wk check up even though it was only 15 months since my last one. Thought if he was going to be poking around down there anyway....I was ok with it - much the same as usual really.... Must say I am not that into sex since the baby yet - is anyone else like this or am I the only one?
Haven't caught up on everyone's elses news but hope all is good. BBL!

Well semi good day here today. Olivia was so so.. Dh got her to sleep when I walked to the park to get Ethan.. yay out of the house baby free.. Just Isaac and i went. The boys have been pretty good too..
oh and Olivia pooped pain free today yaywell Im excited. things are getting so much easier in that department.. She has started biting me during feeding though *ouch*'
And this is Olivia having a little chat with me![]()
DropShots.com
and new pics have been uploaded as well
awww Nic that is absolutely adorable. She is a gorgeous little girl - i see what you mean about having the same sticky up hair as Vicky
I noticed your boy doing the same thing as mine - hovering over her head. They just have to be involved to hey.
Thanks! And why do they need to get right in there.. Its cute though.. I have another of Isaac from yesterday and instead of just laying next to her he basically shoves his head into hers.. She didn't care though..
*Nic* it beats me why they do it, Alex also has this annoying habit of playing with peoples hair and he is forever fondling Vicky's hair (gently)
*Haroula* hope you are all feeling cold free today
Had a good night both kiddies were asleep by 7pmAlex ended having a bad dream so slept with us until 3am when Miss V wanted food and a clean nappy - not nice girly at 3am. but they are both still asleep atm.
Have a great day everyone
Olivia FINALLY woke at 8:30 last night.. 5 and a half hours sleep.. lol.. but she went back to sleep byt 9:30 and slept till 3 ish.. I don't know what was up but she woke screaming.. It seemed to take ages to calm her down.. and well then she didn't sleep so flash after that but I feel good this morning
We not long got back from our walk to the park.. We didn't go down to the beach this morning. Just a bit to windy..
Well miss is cracking again.. she is a grumpy bum in the mornings now lol.. She has already had one nap but wants me to hold her. I am about to go make playdough for the boys..
morning ladies..
still feeling a bit blah! Chrissie spent all of yesterday pooping!! the poor darling... today she seems a bit better! She still is struggling to sleep though.,... i don't know what this new business is at 10am! when she usually goes down for her nap.. nap no more!! she's sitting there awake in her bed! hmmmm
yesterday i ended up holding her most of the day so she could get an hrs sleep!! At least today so far she is in her cradle quiet!..yesterday was a whole day of screaming! could not put her down at all!!! i've just put some music on in her room..lets see if it helps!
Got an appointment with GP tomorrow to find out whether Chrissie has a bit of reflux OR wind ! When she eats it's a constant battle to keep her still!! She's always stretching,m arching her back and squishing up her legs! and sometimes she stops sucking and lets out a bit of a scream! so thought i better get it checked out... may be why she isn't sleeping during the day much anymore!?!?
i dunno.. wish they could tell you what was the matter!
Hi all
This is going to be a big post so bear with me....Mainly about me sorryHoping for some advice ...
For the past 2 weeks I have been living with extreme mouth pain finally went to the doctors last week as it was unbelievably unbearable and couldnt manage the pain ... Anyway mouth area is visibly swollen so I get given antibiotics and told to come back in a week....Well 6 days later still no relief and in so much pain nothing is easing the pain was taking that many drugs and the pain wasnt even dulled...So crying and upset DP rings health direct whom then rings the local nurse who tells us to met her there.....She rings dr and gets permission to give a shot of pethadine and some pande forte until I see the Dr in the morning....Even this didn't take away the pain and all these drugs where unsettling poor Olivia's tummy which was distressing...
Anyhow go see Dr in the morning and he cant see why I am in so much pain no visible signs ie no holes in teeth no receding gum line etc so he sends me for a xray and then asks about pain relief told him the stuff the nurse gave me ddnt touch the pain so he says he can give me endone but I can not breast feed while taking it and for 7-10 days after .......Was a hard horrible decsion but the pain (still suffering) is unbearable and I couldnt sleep or function so decide olivia would go onto formula until the problem sorted....
Well the S26 newbown she hated would scream and scream so asked friend to bring around the formula she uses so we didn't have to buy every one on the market...and she took S26 Gold....Though on her 3rd feed she vomited it all up even out her nose.....Before I took the endone I expressed 150ml and gave it to her to settle her....I don't know what to do she don't like formula but I cant give her my milk now
A friend who has twin boys 5 days older than Olivia offered some of her ebm as she produces a whole heap she can get 450ml from onr breast in 7 min
I am tempted would you...
Sorry about the me post but I am so worried about Olivia not eating well and going to be 39 here today ,
I cant stand the pain either and even on endone I still feel it![]()
As I said to you on msn.. I would go for it with the EBM but only if you feel comfortable with it..
I hope they find out what this pain is..![]()
TeenaRose - hugemouth/teeth pain is one of the worst things in the world.
I would take the offer of EBM as long as your friend doesn't smoke/drink or have more caffiene (sp??) than you do (assuming you have any that is) if not maybe try Karicare thats what we had DS on and now DD and i know that Woolies stocks small sachets of it so you wouldn't have to buy a whole tin if Olivia doesn't like it. If your friend isn't a suitable option i know some states actally have milk banks so that could be another option for you.
Best of luck and i hope you are out of pain soon![]()
Teena- :hugs: if you feel comfortable, go for it! when i was born prem, my mum had heaps of milk so she used to feed another bub at the hospital also!!
Darn it didn't even think about smokingshe is a smoker guess that option is out then......
teena that sucks- what a dillemma for you! i hope you have gotten some rellief and the dr's have worked out what the problem is, or perhaps you've found alternative pain relief that is effective (whack on the head with a 4b2?- that way you can still breast feed unconcious). i'd be more inclined to give breast milk from a smoker than formula- what do the maternal health nurses suggest?
haroula - chrissie sounds pretty normal to me. except for all that sleeping through the night - that's never been my experience.
i think back to when we used to put olly to sleep gendong bobo (walking around cuddling him till he dropped off) and now there's no way i would, even if i could (and i cant with a two year old on my heels). i have access to so much info this time that i'm trying all the different techniques if i agree with the rationale - like not feeding mylo 10 times in the night - letting him fall asleep in his bed without me after he's fed, which should hopefully decrease his waking.
i'm loving the double pram- best 20 i ever spent. we even took it on the bus today (had to wait for 6 to go past before one could take us)- as mylo had an eye clinic appointment that they made when he was born. apparently his retinas dont reflect evenly, they're pale and streaky. but his eyes are fine, it turns out. to test they had to dilate his eyes w drops, wait, examine with a light, examine with eye opening clamps and a bright light. not nice, much screaming...and many hours of entertaining/containing a crazy/bored 2 yo while we waited. glad its over now.
m22 nic- libido on holiday in south france. i miss it so much and dont even get a postcard. blame it on bfing. dh has been on heat ever since the birth.. oh well, we get by.
hi to everyone else.
I had a napI feel pretty good too
xtml: Glad Mylo's eyes are ok.. what does it mean though? Is it just one of those things? Do they expect eye problems later and will he need to wear sunglaasses? just curious hit me if yiou want for all the questions![]()
