    Hey everyone!!

I hope that you are all doing well!!!

A quick question for those with boys..

Has your lovely lad discovered his nether regions yet?? As soon as I put Noah in the bath thats the first thing he goes for...and he dosent take his hand off it the whole time he is in there!! (He has one of those seats so he is upright.) I am sure that its totally normal..but as a mum of a girl previously I am shocked that he is so interested in it already!!

Apart from that...all is well....am off to Perth tomorrow , dreading the logistics of travelling with two kids by myself...hopefuly will be okay!!!

LOL. What a difference in boys and girls. Amber wont doesnt touch herself at all! No wonder the boys get an obsession, they start very early!

How is everyone going with solids? My maternal health nurse told me the other day that we can go to 3 meals a day and add mince now! WOW!

    Hi Everyone,

He he yes what a big difference in boys and girls isn't there!!

I am feeling completely disorganised and falling behind on everything. DD has been having solids for nearly two weeks now rice cereal and fruit in the morning and vegies at night. She now likes to stay up longer about 2.5hrs and is taking a lot longer to settle and then only has an hour of sleep. I got up at 6.30 this morning and still didn't have my breakfast until 9.30!!!

We had our 6 month needles on tuesday which went well. Sophie is now 8.02kgs and is 68.5cm long. Don't think we will be in 00's for much longer.

Jen -- My MCHN suggested leaving meat/chicken until 8 months. Its funny how many different recommendations their are. Sophie isn't really interested in her solids I am lucky to get about 3 teaspoons of anything into her. The boys whoofed anything down.

Anyway better go and do some jobs (neverending story)

    Hi all,

This month has been so chaotic for us; first the jetlag that took about a week to recover from, then the ridiculously cold weather, 6 month needles that went ok but made him a bit sooky and now Jasper and I are both battling a cold, ggggrrrrrrrr; bring on spring!!! Can't wait... I wanna go back to normal.... Whatever that is....

Sorry about the winge, just have enough of little or no sleep and feeling miserable. Besides that I miss my family a lot more since we have just been there and feel like a real cow for doing this to them....

OK, on the upside, Jasper is changing a lot now. Much more responsive, loves his jolly jumper, likes to sit up and does a lot of tummy time in his cot. He rolls so much in his cot that we never know where in the cot we are going to find him in the morning! He still sleeps quite well, a bit more night waking with this cold, but hopefully that is on the way out. I also think he is teething as he keeps rubbing his teether against his gums and yesterday there was a bit of blood on it, not sure if I can feel something yet, he doesn't let me look in his mouth. Still not into solids, will make an appointment with MHCN for next week and see what she thinks... Any other bubbies not into solids yet or are we the only ones still on milk only?
Day sleeps are still very short; usually 0.5-1 hr about three times per day. He gets quite cranky if I try to keep him up for longer than 1.5 hours. At night he sleeps from 6.30 pm till about 5 am with usually only one feed. Lately two due to the cold.

    Bubby awake... BBL...

P.S. sorry about the selfish rant, had to get this off my chest...

    Hi all,

I am back. Bubby back in bed for second sleep... he keeps rolling himself against the sides of the cot and starts screaming . Hopefully he will get the hang of moving around without getting stuck soon, as it makes it a lot harder to settle him.

    Will try to do some personals;

Bun - How is Catherine sleeping? Hopefully you got more of those beautiful nights sleep!

Sue - Sophie seems to be growing very well! They don't fit in their clothes for too long don't they? We will have to go for a checkup soon, can't wait to find out what Jasper is up to.

Jen - OMG, can you start Amber on meat already! Go girl; great that she loves her solids! Wish Jasper was the same... makes me think we are falling behind a bit too much. Still on a teaspoon of rice cereal or teaspoon of apple a day that gets met with a very dark look and after one of two goes he turns away his head.

A question for any of the breastfeeding girls; on how many feeds a day are you now? We are still on 6 to 8 feeds a day, just wondering if I should cut back a bit, or whether that would do more harm than good...

Minky - love Noah's pic! He's got so much hair! Jasper just has patchy little wisps of reddish hair. Makes him look a lot younger; when we went in for his needles the nurse wanted to get the two month needles out...

Ash - Looks like Alex is doing really well! A very cute photo! How are you going? Still battling your way up?

Prama - Welcome back!!! How was your trip? Must have been quite an adventure on your own with Lakshman; I admire you for doing it! Did he behave himself for mummy? Hope you are all settled in at home and are able to get Lakshman into a better night routine...

To everyone else I have missed; hope you are all doing well!!

Hi Esme- I hope your cold gets better very soon and you get some decent sleep. Amber was rolling in her cot too. But now I have her sleep in her sleeping bacg during the day and try and tuck her in as much as possible. Since she started her day sleeps in her sleeping bag, she has been so much better.
We are still breastfeeding. Amber is on 5-6 a day but then again she has 2 full solid meals a day with cereal and fruit in the morning and vegies in the evening. I dont think Jasper is falling behind. Some babies just like food more than others. My MCHN told me once that babies who dont eat too much earlier on will have a heartier appetite later on and the ones who eat like a horse (like my one for example!) will not eat as much.
Jasper sounds happy with his playing so you must be doing something right!

Sue- I cant believe all the different information people give us. I guess maybe because my girl inhales everything I give her, she may be ready for meat? Who knows. I will increase to 3 meals a day next week and see how she goes.

We are going to the pool this afternoon. I took Amber the other day and had a small play and she enjoyed herself. Will see how she goes this arvo.

    Prama- Are you back?

Ash- Well done on making 6 months breastfeeding mate. Sensational effort.

Hi Bun, Roya, Jacki, oh dear I am missing people sorry!
