YAY I get to be first.

Slack though coz I really can't remember what was said in the last thread.

Hoping that all little people are being kind to their mummy's and if they are can they PLEASE have a word to Tehya !!

She is going pretty good at daycare, seems to have settled in nicely. Now if only I could get her to sleep through again.

My MS is shocking atm and I can't wait to get to 2nd tri, hoping so hard that it is gone by then. I don't know how women handle this the whole way through their pregnancies.

Like I said, I'm very sorry that I can't remember the last thread. But a big HI to the newies that have joined. Welcome.

I promise to try to keep up with all the going's on better.

Yay Shannon lovely to see you in here Wow Jessalyn is doing so well and OMG at her being 14kg now. Oh no @ all her stitches coming out, guess one beauty of it is she`s young and should heal well. She has done so well and I bit the Dr`s are amazed at how well she`s doing, must be all her Mummys loving care. Wow @ only 10 weeks left that has flown by.

Trish - Hope the ms eases soon but then it`s also reassuring.

Melanie - I`m starting the mini pill (yes still breastfeeding), the Dr said out of all the contraceptives the mini pill is the safest and best out of them all for women in my position (yours as well) where we want a gap between children and also for women who don`t know if they are fishinshed child bearing. I was worried about mood swings, spotting - she said mood swings are much rarer then the combined pill but there is still a chance of spotting. Mark is over the moon about it as he hates condoms I`m still hesitant but giving it a go, afterall I can always stop taking it if I`m not happy but then we`re back to square one not knowing what to use - it`s so difficult hey. Hope that helps you out a bit. Sorry to hear about the stuttering, it must be a worry, there is a thread around about it, I see if I can find it for you. HUgs to you.

Eryn - Isn`t the terrible 2`s a wonderful time!!!

Hello Charmaine and welcome to our group.

Matthew has been terrible the last few days, terrible 2`s have hit big time, even a simple matter of getting into his car seat is a huge drama, how long does this period last for?? I feel like I`m forever yelling at him yet other times he can be a darling and gets a lot of praise.

I`ve been feeling really off since yesterday afternoon, feel nauseous all the time and on the point of vomiting (sorry TMI), I hope it passes soon.

Shannon, great to see you in here hun. Jessalyn sure is a trooper. What a strong little girl she is. Ouchies on her pulling the stitches out. Poor bubba. I can't believe you only have 10 weeks left either. I guess it always goes faster when your not the pregnant one. What a shame I'm not closer, I have a couple of kiddies that would love to play with Jess.

Dee, good on you for going back on the pill. I got it ages ago, the box is still sitting up there un opened Perhaps I should have hey. Welcome to the terrible two's hun. How long does it last ?? I'll tell you when Joel grows out of it LOL. I don't think they ever grow out of it. Damn kids. Still waiting for that easy age with him.

Oh vomiting hey, sure it's not too late for the pill. Hope you feel better soon hun.

Melanie, my second eldest went through a astage of stuttering when he was around 3, I think. He grew out of it within 12 months or so, but I do understand your concern. Especially when you go from such a fluent talker to a stutterer.

I'm feeling abit better today, although I shouldn't talk too soon, and the day is far from over. Teh is being a pain, keeps whinging for The Wiggi's to be put on and no sooner do I have it playing then she gets up and wants it changed. Brat. Of course she changes it all for herself too. Damn independance is a killer some days.

LOL Trish I`m sure it`s not that I`m another one who`s had an unopened back of mini pill sitting in the cupboard unopened for months but it will be opened next week, Dr said I could start it now but I like routine so I`ll start on the day AF arrives.

Oh yes independence, they are so happy to do things themselves and help out at this tender age but it will not last.

sorry i havent been around, have been busy sort of, nothing exciting just life with 4 kids around

Shannon: Great to see you around and wow at Jessalyn's weight, she weighs more than Mason. Great news that health wise jessalyn is going so well too. Woohoo for the house going up and i hope jessalyn can get into daycare soon, hard when they dont know other kids there age, i am the same, all my friends dont have kids (not a bad thing lol) or older kids, Mason is really loving daycare the 2 days a week he goes

Cant believe that Mason is nearly 2 now, well i can in some ways as its not gone super fast but still feel like it was a few months ago i bought him home

Trish: hope the M/S eases up for you, was thinking about you earlier and thinking hope all was ok as last time i read you were having probs, glad to see all looks well now

Cooper is going well and learning fast

Still considering more kids but not sure yet, so going to think on it till september and see where my head is at then, keep thinking just leave it how it is, the younger boys have each other and luke is getting older now and will be right, i am all over the place with my thoughts anyhow lol

Belinda - I`m the same as you I sometimes feel like I`d love to add more siblings to the family (always wanted 4 of my own) but then I think perhaps Matthew and Adrian are enough when I also have the older two as well so like you I`m just sitting on it all, I just can`t sit too long as I`m getting older.....

Been busy trying to get things organised and I`m behind because of the tummy bug I had but I`m over it now and trying to get on top of things ready for tomorrow, I have the cake ready and waiting in the fridge to be cut and iced today and decorated tomorrow.

My niece had her stitch out yesterday she said it was extremely painfull, poor kid.

Dee, hope you are feeling better hun. There seem's to be a fair bit of tummy bugs going around at the moment. People need to keep their germs to themselves hey.

WOW Matthew's birthday tomorrow. So has the last 2 years gone fast or slow hun. You've packed a fair bit into them.

Ouchies on the stitch too. I hope your niece is doing ok, she's had a rough trot too.

Belinda, thanks for thinking of me huni. I/we are doing ok. I think. Still haven't gone back for my repeat scan. Chicken that I am. Was thinking of doing it tomorrow when the kids are at daycare.

All of the babies are growing up. Sad isn't it. As they move from one stage to the next. Not that I mind them growing up of course. It's just the whole mind of their own thing.

You are in a good place now with your kids hun. They are a good age. Somedays and I don't want this to sound mean or nasty. But I remember how easy it was with just Joel and Brandon. Well, not easy, but compared to now. And then I started all over again, with a 7 and a 10 year old. Huge wake up call.

Oh Belinda, I hear you too! We are going through the same thing (well mostly me LOL!!). I only ever wanted two, especially being one of three girls always thought three was a bad number, BUT.... that cluck-cluck just won't go away. Like Dee, I am getting older so not much time to decide, especially as I don't really want to be over 38 having another bub, just think it gets harder as you get older, and I am 38 next birthday (did I really admit to that??). So we will see. It's not really an option just yet as DH's contract is up in Dec and we might need me to go back from maternity leave.

Thanks for all the info Dee. I have tried the mini-pill, once after Jack was born and again recently. It just is no good for me - TMI alert - the spotting is so bad it's like permanent AF - forget that! My trusted GP is looking into options for me. If I can't find a workable option DH will have the snip so I guess that will make the other decision for me In some ways though it might be good just to accept that I have what I wanted (2 gorgeous littlies), and without any dramas - no real trouble conceiving, no m/c, no real pg complications, easy births etc, and be grateful for it without needing more. I know I am incredibly lucky.

Trish, so glad to hear you are going better. How is that m/s going? I can understand about starting with bubs over again - one reason I love that the boys are close together is so that I get all the disturbed sleep, nappies etc over in one hit. I think it would be so hard to be past all that and then start again. Good on you though, I am a little jealous of you - 5 kids is awesome.

Well, it's all happening here. Tom is crawling and Jack is tt. Also my little sis is coming over from London at the end of the month. I am so excited. I haven't seen her since before being pg with Jack - and I can't wait for her to meet the boys.

Got to run, Jack needs to go to the toilet...

ETA - Oh yeah, Trish, I hear you on the mind of their own thing. Jack is really getting one of those!

Dee: wow at Matthews birthday being tommorow, come up so quick, hope the day goes great for him, and its a huge decision re more kids, and i also have the same problem re age, if i was 25 i would give a toss and wouldnt even be thinking this much about it, but i am not 25 sadly!

Trish: glad that things are going ok, hope all goes well at the scan if you do end up going, you didnt sound too sure about going tomororow lol, and i do understand what you mean about adding on, i went from having an only child who was just getting to the age where he was able to sleep over with relatives and get out and play and then we added on not once but twice, i sometimes think its a dream as it all happened so fast! I just find it hard to picture my life with 3 small kids, seems insane an idea lol

Melanie: hope you can find some solution to help you so Dh doesnt have to have the cut until you are really sure of what you want to do, and i feel for you with the age thing, i am 35 this july so not that far behind you

had to go get mason from daycare earlier as he has cut all his hand open, luckily it only required tape and not stitches, was bad enough with how he was getting it cleaned up

he had tripped and slid and cut his hand on the sliding door track, must of had a nick out of it so the metal was sharp, quiet a big cut

he is asleep on lounge atm with a banaged hand, gave him nurofen for the pain

Thank you girls for Matthew`s birthday wishes, he had a fantastic day, he loves his big red trike and trailer, although his legs aren`t quite long enough yet to push it (we wanted something he could grow into not out of) but he pushes it with one foot at a time and Adrian sits in the trailer so cute. The cake turned out better then I expected it would, I`m quite amawzed that I managed to do what I wanted LOL

Belinda - ouchie, poor Mason and poor you too, I would have been beside myself.

Pre School contacted me on Matthew`s Birthday saying they had a spot for him (think she put us ahead as they don`t have enough places for 2 year olds but she knows Mark with the boys who went there). I was always going to start Matthew when he was 3, it was only about 2 months ago I thought he needs socialisation with other children as he doesn`t see anyone except for Adrian and the big boys, yes we go to Gymbaroo but you can`t socialise there plus I`m pulling him out once this term is finished. Went around to have a look at the pre school yesterday and I`m extremely impressed, it`s the nicest pre school I have ever come across (I have worked in a number), the staff are all very friendly and warm and they also have a male staff member which I thought was lovely.

So now I`m hoping I`m doing the right thing, I know he needs socialisation but I feel like I`m kicking him out of the nest Mark isn`t sure he keeps saying 2 is very young (the boys went to this centre @ 3, taking 2 year olds in only a new thing) so that doesn`t help either, I know he`s young but I still feel he needs children his own age to play with. While viewing the centre within 10 minutes Matthew was off playing with the children.

Dee, it's hard isn't it! If it helps, Jack started at day care at 7 months, mostly 4 days/wk until I started mat leave again and now just 1 day. It was very hard to do it at first, I worried about doing the right thing. But he has always loved it, and I really believe that it has been good for him. He is great with other kids, very good at sharing, good manners and has learnt a lot from the older kids as well. I am sure it is part of the reason that he has always been so good with his baby brother. And TBH, I think it was easier on him going 4 days/week then just 1 day. When a spot comes up I'm going to increase him to 2 days/wk (by then I will prob be working 2 days/wk anyway). I think 1 day is unsettling as it's a long time between kindy days IYKWIM? Good luck with it, I think it's always harder on mum! Also glad that he had a great birthday and that the cake turned out. You are very clever.

Belinda, how awful. I hope you are both feeling better now. It must be an awful shock to get that call.

Nothing new to report here. Probably a good thing!

Thanks Melanie for that advice, Matthew will only be going 1 day a week as that`s the only spot they have, great that it has helped Jack so much I`m hoping it will help Matthew with a few issues, although he has always shared his toys with Adrian he finds it hard to know how to play nicely with him, he`s always so rough it doesn`t help that the big boys often play rough with Matthew. I know there are lots of advantages and I know he`ll love it and benefit from it but it`s so hard, it must get harder once they go to school. The director said she doesn`t care if I`m a nerotic mother and ring 4 times a day, that`s fine, or I can go in any time at all and join in with the activities and observe Matthew, they seem to really involve the entire family.
