oh no Amanda, how upsetting. i will email you our meet up pics and i have a "Cody folder" which ive just looked i have 4 photo's in. so not sure if these would eb ones u already have saved or not.
what about your website? I know u have a couple of pics in there, maybe u can retreive save them back on your pc?
Well, im having a lazy day today, havent really done much at all, i was going to head into town to look at wedding invitation stuff but i really couldnt be bothered. Im going to make them myself and i hear there is a great store in town that sells all the stuff pretty cheap.
I have a massive blue tongued lizard out on my driveway, there were some birds trying to attack it before so i went out with arms flying to scare them away, i think it has worked. We had about 7 babies around the place not long ago but a neighbourhood cat had taken all but one.
Neeny - LOL at Aleise blowing rasberries and clapping, that would be so cute, Lachlan isnt clapping yet, ill have to start teaching him!!
I hope all goes well with your sister, im sure it will all be fine at the hospital although i would be a bit worried too!
Bath - Your sisters husband sounds alot like DF, probably worse but still has the same traits, i think we have alot of sorting out to do because like you said, we are all supposed to change, im not trying to change him but we are supposed to mature at some point in our lives. Happy 8 Months Niall As for Niall squinting, Lachlan has started doing a similar thing, he looks at me and squints his eyes (like a chinese face) and has a big grin and breathes heavily through his nose, its the funniest thing to see, especially when i take his nappy off!!
Mel - Good on Chelsea for her swimming, you must be so proud. Swimming is such an important skill and she sounds like she is really enjoying it!
Ali - Hang in there about the job, dont get down on yourself, it obviously wasnt the right job for you, the right one is just around the corner!!
Rory - A massage sounds great!! Hope you enjoy it and it relieves some of that back pain. I hope Flynn goes ok in his own room. What a big boy!!
Amanda - Thats terrible about the photos, i dont think i have any but i will have a look and send them to you if i do. I think im going to go and save all mine to disk now!
Well, thats about all from me. LACHLAN IS 8 MONTHS TODAY!! He is almost crawling properly, he can do a few paces but then gets down on his tummy and commando's again. He is also sitting all by himself now, when i go in after he has woken he will be sitting up in his cot, it looks so cute. He is also trying to pull himself up on the coffee table and the lounge so we have had a few falls in the last couple of days and lots of tears.
I got Matt a Far Side Calendar (reduced from $14 to $7 at Aust Post) and a nice card. He said he hadn't had time to get me anything so I asked him to cook breakfast. Nice g/f pancakes but I went easy on the jam/maple syrup 'cause of WW! Also had a boring rice cake, ham and cottage cheese lunch and apple.. oh well hope it works! Anyway we had some stuff to do today and he ended up buying me a clothes voucher at Suzanne Grae so I'll happily spend that!
Dee 7th: Sounds good to have a meet up if we can.. we're spread out pretty good! I'm in the northside near Chermside Shopping Centre. AManda and I met at Southbank but that was before it got hot. I work THursdays and Fridays so they're the only days I'm not available. Anyway email me if you like when you come up with a time and place. neeny1870@hotmail.com
Dee 78: Hopefully SIL will do okay she's healthy so that's an advantage for her. I'm sure Lauchie will start clapping soon. We didn't really teach Aleise but I often sing "Happy and you know it clap your hands" to her and she just started doing it! As for crawling properly well she's still doing push ups and rocking but that's about it!
Bath and Jess: Hope your moods pick up - not enough chocolate maybe?
its sad but true ALL women can be very two faced and alhough I loved my highschool (all girls) I stayed away from gossiping clicky groups 'cause it can be rather destructive. I've noticed a few hot topics in here and I think we should try to tone it down a bit if possible! Don't want to see anyone else evicted!
We've all got busy lives so don't take it personal if they city girls can't meet up Jess. Also being VAlentines day people want to do their own thing.
Well we're gearing up for new roof and got another quote today and saw the bank. Will be getting split system aircon in the lounge area too so can't wait for that!
Amanda: I will have to search my hard drive to see if I still have the pics - I have a feeling 'cause I emailed you, I might have deleted them! (yes naughty me!) We have an IT friend who could look at your 'puter for you if you're willing to drive up to Bray Park!! However I think thunder storms tend to wipe everything which is why I back up on CD and spend waaaayyyyy too much money on print outs at Kmart!
Well looking forward to McCleod's and House tonight - a bit sad when the highlight of your week are tv shows -but Rory, I'm with you on not much $$$, I don't have much either and today was payday!
Dee - happy 8 mths to Lachlan. Sounds like he is scooting around everywhere and very clever sitting up in his cot. Its great that you are making your own invites, I think they look so much better and have a more personal touch. The stuff they sell in the shops to do them is fantastic, it will be hard choosing what to use!
Ali - I feel for you! It is a horrible decision to make about returning to work and childcare. I put it off and off until finally I had to go back when Chelsea was 15 mths old. It was hard and she was very unhappy the first few times in childcare, but she has now been there for nearly 3 years and she loves it. So try not to worry, you are not doing her a diservice by putting her in childcare, she will greatly benefit from the interaction with the other kids. I do totally understand where you are coming from though. Keep peeking around that corner for the perfect job!
Neeny - b'fast sounds so yummy. We were going to go out for b'fast today but had a tradesman come instead plastering our laundry - how romantic!!!!! Have fun spending your voucher. You will love having a split system, they are the best! Looking forward to McLeods too tonight.
My day has been busy. Had the plasterer arrive at 8am (I had forgotten he was coming!) and Chelsea came into our room and said 'someone is at the door'! Oops! He was here for most of the day. Took Marley to her specialist appointment and had her skin ***** testing done. She is allegic to egg white and cows milk protein. Her reaction to the egg was pretty strong with a score of 5, the cows milk one only very mild at 1. She is not allowed to have any dairy until 12mths after she has a follow up skin test. He thinks she will grow out of both allergies, which was good to hear. I have pages and pages of stuff to read up on and what I can and can't give her. Her diet will be pretty basic for a little while but at least I know what is going on. Her eczema will now be managed with a different cream which he believes will clear it up completely. Then we will have a maintenance regime to follow if any flare ups occur. He is very confident, her skin will be almost perfect in the coming weeks. He was an excellent paed and I was there nearly 2 hours! Marley was so good through out the ***** test which they do on their backs, she never flinched or cried once when they *****ed her - my very brave little bubba! They weighed her, measured her and she is a very healthy baby. I am just so relieved to find out what was going on and now have a plan to follow. Good news all round.
Happy Valentines to everyone, hope your loved ones do something extra special for you today!
Howdy all, another quick one from me cause I am working this afternoon, then have a council meeting that will go til 7.30pm and am then working again tomorrow morning.
Flynn has settled well-enough into his room and isn't waking any more than usual (like last night - it was going well when he woke at 12.30 and 3.30 for feeds, but then all when to ***** when he woke at 5.30 and wouldn't go back to sleep!) But DH saved the day and took him when he woke up and I got some uninterrupted sleep between 7.30 and 8.45am.
Ali I really feel for you with the daycare thing - I had a call from a centre the other day offering 2 days per week for Flynn but at this stage we are hoping DH and i can juggle our workloads without it. And Neeny I don't know how you have manged to work and dot he daycare thing - I am lucky in that I can leave Flynn at home so there is less to organise, but I still find it a pain expressing enough milk, getting his food organised and stuff.
Mel do allergies run in your family? I seem to remember not - it must be such an adjustment for you to get used to it. Flynn isn't allergic to anything (yet!) but we have family members who can't eat all sorts of stuff (including tomatoes!) so I know how much of a disruption it will be for you. Kids often grow out of egg allergies, though
Was gonna do more personals but I gotta go shopping before I head off to work - there's no food in the house!!
