We've just had a few drops of pretend rain too... I checked the Bureau site and we might get a little more... i was hoping to se a nice dramatic rain band heading our way... no suck luck... least it isn't as hot as they predicted.

I forgot to mention a new thing that Niall started doing yesterday! It's so funny and I didn't know what he was doing at first because W&V never did it: he is mimicking my blinking... in a kinda exaggerated way, screwing up his whole face... it started when i was feeding him... he was squinting/giggling at me after every mouthful... then I copied him and he squealed in delight and did it again... so I repeated it.. then he did it again... there was definate "taking of turns" going on! this is the first time he has done anything of this nature that is so definate... maybe he copies other things we do but it must be more subtle... now I'm thinking he might be ready for clapping lessons so he can pass his 8 month 'test' lol.

I just thought that if anyone was around I could meet up. I know ppl are busy so look don't worry about it. I never come to Melbourne and tomorrow was just a special day.

Look just forget about meeting up ever, I have tried to join in but obviously no-one is interested in meeting with "out of towners".

Jess, you sound really annoyed. I'm not going to offer an apology on this one because i've done nothing wrong. I have three issues:

    1) You've given Melbourne Junies who may have wanted to meetup less than 48 hours notice.

    2) I'm personally suffering a bit of BB fatigue ATM. I have recently learnt that some members have been saying one thing online and different things offline/via PMs/in other forums etc. I am struggling with feelings of disillusionment at this kind of two faced activity. The recent issue involving an exiled member was also very draining. I need a bit of space. This might not have anything to do with you... I just need a bit of space.

    3) I am actually very busy this week. Wade has planned activities every day and DH is working longer than usual hours. I would not be good company.

I hope this post doesn't come across as grumpy as I feel IRL because I'm feeling quite highly strung and wouldn't want to say anything that I regret. I've been enjoying your posts lately Jess.... I think of you everytime I see that "new leaf" ad turning over at the top of the screen. Your alpaca job is truely a step in the right direction and i'm feeling optimistic for both you and your family. Please just let me fester in my own tetchiness.

I'm not angry but yeah I am a touch annoyed.
48hrs notice I know but I only found out that I was coming down with the kids yesterday so I thought wow what a trip it would make if I could meet up with some Junies at the same time. I can't come down to town much because of my hectic life up here and I just thought that maybe I could've gotten a bit of enthusiasm from some members. This has been a rotten month for all of us, losing *** was a shock for a lot of us and even though we were right on top of it noone saw what happened(At least I never!)
Bath- I know you have a busy week as I knew Wade had kinder and I know what it is like to have more than one child, but I wasn't really upset by you....its more that I have mentioned a couple of times that I would like to meet ppl and then at the last minute they pull out.I don't really feel like the "city" members want to meet with their "poorer" cousins from the country.
This is how upset I am though. I probably don't make sense! I love all of you because we are each others support group but lately the support group hasn't been very supportive.

    Happy 8 months Niall

IK - we got a bit of rain, Chelsea was stuck in her cubby house and didn't want to get wet coming inside! It is very stormy over here. Great news about the book. I wont see Susan tomorrow as she is on campus and my office is at the hospital. Haven't spoken to her in ages.

Bath - love the blinking thing, Niall is a clever boy. PML about the clapping thing, Marley has no idea what to do with that and her 8 mth check up is next Tuesday. She still isn't sitting or crawling and has she no teeth. Wonder what she will say about that.

Nic - hope Nixon is coming down with something. How are you feeling - any m/s?

Jess - sorry you feel the way you do, its unfortunate. One the few occasions that I have met the Melb junies, it has sometimes taken weeks to organise a date that suits everyone and even then, some have to pull out due to other commitments. I too have a child at kinder tomorrow, plus my specialist appointment that I have been waiting for ages to get, plus valentines day where DH actually has the day off. If I didn't have these things on, then a met up could have been possible. Plus Frankston isn't close, its about 1.5 hours from where I live so would need nearly a full day to head there and back. I, in no way, would ever think of you as the "poorer" country cousins. We are all equal in here - mums who love their kids regardless of where we live.

oh yeah Happy 8 months Niall!
    Jess-
i hadnt had a chance to reply to you but i would have unfortunatley had to decline also due to plans that have been made over a week ago. I try hard to meet up with BB members lots of times and i know others do to, it is harder because its only on rare occasions that you get to come this way but please dont get upset with anyone because they dont fit around your schedule. It cannot be helped, maybe if you can plan something ahead that we all can attend u wont feel so annoyed. I definatley think there has nothing to do with city members V's country members though, thats just a footy match!

Nixon's got a runny nose so dont know if it's going to eventuate into something or maybe another sign some more teeth might be coming....

Hi Mel, well dont let MCHN get u down if they do say oh she should be doing this blah blah. Nix last visit was 8month and most things she asked i just said No, No, No! but within 1.5months he is now doing a lot of what he wasnt.
Its weird i feel fine then suddenly get a wave of nausea. then it goes away again.. i didnt get any m/s last time so hoping it doesnt progress and get worse!

Hello girls, well my weekend was crap, on Saturday night we had a big thunderstorm and it wiped the computer, so I've lost about 4 months of photos of Cody and the boys, christmas and my Junies meet ups. I'm so devastated that I was bawling when DH got the comp up and running again, luckily he had saved most of the photos from Cody's birth on to a disc so I didn't lose everything, I think I would have been in worse shape had they all been lost.

Bath I so know what you mean about BB fatigue lately, I think that maybe what I have also, I read all the post and then just move on, but in saying that I love keeping up with what is going on in everyones lives. That's great that you won the Peter Rabbit calendar I remember you were looking for one a while ago.

Nic congrats again, glad the BT confirmed it for you, also can you send me some of the pics from our meet so that I've got them on record again, thanks.

Jess I hope that you have a great day in Frankston tomorrow, enjoy your day at the beach.

Neeny hope that your SIL has a great birth this time, don't worry about letting Aleise self settle sometimes you just can't help it, your a great mum. Also can you please sent some of the pics from our meet as well, it would be greatly appreicated.

Mel your grow bag sounds so gorgeous, Cody's also in 00 still, he's my little bubba, not long till your holiday now.

Ali sorry you missed out on the job, hopefully you will get the next one.

Hello Dee, IK and CeeCee hope your all doing great.

Well Cody's doing the funniest thing lately, when he's having a feed he will growl while drinking it's so cute, he's also smacking his lips like if you are doing kisses in the air, he's been cracking me up lately. Better go start thinking about dinner.

    hugs xoxo

Mel – Ally is not sitting or crawling and still has no teeth… so Marley is not alone…I guess they will get there in their own time!
Baths – ohhhh, that is so cute (blinking) I’ve never heard of that? I’ve tried Ally to “give me 5” (easier than clapping) the dog thought I meant him and he would put his paw on my lap – super cute!
Amanda – I’m so sorry about the photos, I know how sad you must have been. It is a good reminder for us all to make back-ups!

Re: BB burn out… I adore BB, however as you may have noticed I am not around every day like before. I guess spending time with my daughter rather than spending time with my friends talking about my daughter has become more important. I still turn to you guys for support, and log on, in case I can support others and for me that is now what it is all about.

OK, must run, Ally did not have her afternoon nap and DH is struggling with bath time.

Hi all - quick one from me - Flynn is sleeping in his own room for the first time tonight! Here's hoping I don't fall down the stairs in the middle of the night (he is downstairs, we are upstairs).

Jess, I can't make tomorrow either - combo of having to babysit a GF's girl in the morning and lack of finances to get down to Frankston. Checked our bank balance and we have $62 in one account and -$2 in the other - where the stinkin bank took out a $2 account keeping fee from a $0 balance account! Grrrr.

Ahwell, payday is soon (I get paid monthly, which kinda sucks)

Gotta go - very sore back. So sore in fact I am having a remedial massage tomorrow arvo - my whole upper back is tingling and spasming all the time. Not quite yet severe pain, but I can feel it coming if I don't do something.

So apart from that all is well here, but gotta cut it short - I worked today and now I am pooped

ETA : Amanda that is so awful about the photos!! At least you have ones of cody's birth

Nic - glad to hear you don't have m/s too bad and lets hope it stays away. My MCHN is pretty cool so I am sure she wont be too worried that Marley isn't doing much. It is hard not comparing the two girls as Chelsea was doing much more at the same age. Marley is such a different child so I shouldn't compare. I know you are right, in a few months she will probably be doing lots of things she can't do now.

Amanda - how awful about the photos. Is there anyway they can be retrieved from the computer? You have got me thinking that I should really burn mine onto CD JIC! So glad to hear you still have Cody's birth photos though. Glad to hear Marley is not alone in the "little' stakes, at least her clothes are fitting her for longer LOL!!!

CC - like Nic said earlier, they will all being doing so much more in the next few months. I just get impatient!

Rory - how exciting for Flynn being in his own room, hope it goes well and I really hope you don't fall down the stairs, esp with a sore back. Lets hope the massage gives you some relief. How did Flynn go with Anna last week? DH and I both get paid fortnightly on the same day (wish it was alternating weeks) and with the holiday coming up, I have been really stingy trying to make sure we have enough to take away without having to use the credit cards!!!! Good luck tonight.

Marley has been a bit of a grump today, didn't really want to eat her dinner (she is a bit of a fuss bag when it comes to food) and took a while to settle to bed tonight. Poor Chelsea kept coming out of her room asking me to make her stop crying!!! She is finally asleep, I was beginning to wear a hole in the floorboards!

Just got back from GF's candle party...I was only allowed to buy one thing But I did win the door prize - and I never win them usually!
Hi CC! Glad you're enjoying that munchkin!
Amanda, Cody sounds like fun - I love when Oscar does his monster impersonation My heart sank to read about your photo dilemma, but at least you have the early ones. I tried to get some hard copies run off today at Kmart but I couldn't get the instant ones because of their power troubles the day before having created a backlog for today...at least all our photos are on two computers now ... but I still want a copy on disk!
Rory - oooh, massage, that'd be nice! Hope you get a good night's sleep. Oh, and until yesterday I had about $2 to my entire name - and I won't have much till next family payment because I have agistment to pay this week (this irks DP, but I say, if pony keeps mummy happy, then EVERYONE's happy!). Petrol goes up tomorrow, so, yep, a drive out to the other side of town would ouch a bit for you!
Mel - poor Chelsea - life's so hard for a 4 year old, isn't it? The last thing she needs is a baby sister cramping her style!
Gonna read Oscar a book now, then fold more nappies...

Ohh No Amanda, have you been able to retrieve much?? This is why I save heaps in cyberspace and back them up on disk. I would absolutely freak if I lost them. Can you take the CPU to a puta shop?? I'll check my emails for any you have sent me and I'll send them to you. Thank goodness you have some online in photo bucket..
Rory I hated being paid monthly, but I always seemed to make it stretch. We get paid weekly and I have bank balances like that sometimes. I need to budget. lol.
I went to my very first meet up today with somee BB girls from the Gold Coast thread. It was really great, they are a really nice bunch. We are going to have a meet up every tuesday.
Neeny and Amanda we should arrange to meet somewhere. Now I know you're in Creastmead Amanda, but I forget where you are Neeny. When and where girls???
Ohhh Mel, you gotta love them, don't ya, lol.
    Ik What did you win??
Cee Cee ohhhhhhh for your puppy paws, lol
Nic, I'll help shew (sp?) the M/S, lol I hope you don't get to aflicted. Mine was always from 5-15 weeks, but with Nate it was more like 7-16 weeks, My little sis never got it or any stretchmarks, lucky cow, I have a complete refidex on me, lol.
Bath and Jess big hugs, cheer up :hugs:
Ali, I'm so sorry you didn't get the job, I'm thinking of you babe. :hugs:

    Afternoon ladies,
    HAPPY VALENTINES DAY
Well, im having a lazy day today, havent really done much at all, i was going to head into town to look at wedding invitation stuff but i really couldnt be bothered. Im going to make them myself and i hear there is a great store in town that sells all the stuff pretty cheap.

I have a massive blue tongued lizard out on my driveway, there were some birds trying to attack it before so i went out with arms flying to scare them away, i think it has worked. We had about 7 babies around the place not long ago but a neighbourhood cat had taken all but one.

Neeny - LOL at Aleise blowing rasberries and clapping, that would be so cute, Lachlan isnt clapping yet, ill have to start teaching him!!
I hope all goes well with your sister, im sure it will all be fine at the hospital although i would be a bit worried too!

Bath - Your sisters husband sounds alot like DF, probably worse but still has the same traits, i think we have alot of sorting out to do because like you said, we are all supposed to change, im not trying to change him but we are supposed to mature at some point in our lives. Happy 8 Months Niall As for Niall squinting, Lachlan has started doing a similar thing, he looks at me and squints his eyes (like a chinese face) and has a big grin and breathes heavily through his nose, its the funniest thing to see, especially when i take his nappy off!!

Mel - Good on Chelsea for her swimming, you must be so proud. Swimming is such an important skill and she sounds like she is really enjoying it!

Ali - Hang in there about the job, dont get down on yourself, it obviously wasnt the right job for you, the right one is just around the corner!!

Rory - A massage sounds great!! Hope you enjoy it and it relieves some of that back pain. I hope Flynn goes ok in his own room. What a big boy!!

Amanda - Thats terrible about the photos, i dont think i have any but i will have a look and send them to you if i do. I think im going to go and save all mine to disk now!

Well, thats about all from me. LACHLAN IS 8 MONTHS TODAY!! He is almost crawling properly, he can do a few paces but then gets down on his tummy and commando's again. He is also sitting all by himself now, when i go in after he has woken he will be sitting up in his cot, it looks so cute. He is also trying to pull himself up on the coffee table and the lounge so we have had a few falls in the last couple of days and lots of tears.

I hope you are all having a great valentines day!

    HI all

    Happy Valenties day!!

I got Matt a Far Side Calendar (reduced from $14 to $7 at Aust Post) and a nice card. He said he hadn't had time to get me anything so I asked him to cook breakfast. Nice g/f pancakes but I went easy on the jam/maple syrup 'cause of WW! Also had a boring rice cake, ham and cottage cheese lunch and apple.. oh well hope it works! Anyway we had some stuff to do today and he ended up buying me a clothes voucher at Suzanne Grae so I'll happily spend that!

Dee 7th: Sounds good to have a meet up if we can.. we're spread out pretty good! I'm in the northside near Chermside Shopping Centre. AManda and I met at Southbank but that was before it got hot. I work THursdays and Fridays so they're the only days I'm not available. Anyway email me if you like when you come up with a time and place. neeny1870@hotmail.com

Dee 78: Hopefully SIL will do okay she's healthy so that's an advantage for her. I'm sure Lauchie will start clapping soon. We didn't really teach Aleise but I often sing "Happy and you know it clap your hands" to her and she just started doing it! As for crawling properly well she's still doing push ups and rocking but that's about it!

Bath and Jess: Hope your moods pick up - not enough chocolate maybe?
its sad but true ALL women can be very two faced and alhough I loved my highschool (all girls) I stayed away from gossiping clicky groups 'cause it can be rather destructive. I've noticed a few hot topics in here and I think we should try to tone it down a bit if possible! Don't want to see anyone else evicted!

We've all got busy lives so don't take it personal if they city girls can't meet up Jess. Also being VAlentines day people want to do their own thing.

Well we're gearing up for new roof and got another quote today and saw the bank. Will be getting split system aircon in the lounge area too so can't wait for that!

Amanda: I will have to search my hard drive to see if I still have the pics - I have a feeling 'cause I emailed you, I might have deleted them! (yes naughty me!) We have an IT friend who could look at your 'puter for you if you're willing to drive up to Bray Park!! However I think thunder storms tend to wipe everything which is why I back up on CD and spend waaaayyyyy too much money on print outs at Kmart!

Well looking forward to McCleod's and House tonight - a bit sad when the highlight of your week are tv shows -but Rory, I'm with you on not much $$$, I don't have much either and today was payday!

    See you all later!

Dee - happy 8 mths to Lachlan. Sounds like he is scooting around everywhere and very clever sitting up in his cot. Its great that you are making your own invites, I think they look so much better and have a more personal touch. The stuff they sell in the shops to do them is fantastic, it will be hard choosing what to use!

Ali - I feel for you! It is a horrible decision to make about returning to work and childcare. I put it off and off until finally I had to go back when Chelsea was 15 mths old. It was hard and she was very unhappy the first few times in childcare, but she has now been there for nearly 3 years and she loves it. So try not to worry, you are not doing her a diservice by putting her in childcare, she will greatly benefit from the interaction with the other kids. I do totally understand where you are coming from though. Keep peeking around that corner for the perfect job!

Neeny - b'fast sounds so yummy. We were going to go out for b'fast today but had a tradesman come instead plastering our laundry - how romantic!!!!! Have fun spending your voucher. You will love having a split system, they are the best! Looking forward to McLeods too tonight.

My day has been busy. Had the plasterer arrive at 8am (I had forgotten he was coming!) and Chelsea came into our room and said 'someone is at the door'! Oops! He was here for most of the day. Took Marley to her specialist appointment and had her skin ***** testing done. She is allegic to egg white and cows milk protein. Her reaction to the egg was pretty strong with a score of 5, the cows milk one only very mild at 1. She is not allowed to have any dairy until 12mths after she has a follow up skin test. He thinks she will grow out of both allergies, which was good to hear. I have pages and pages of stuff to read up on and what I can and can't give her. Her diet will be pretty basic for a little while but at least I know what is going on. Her eczema will now be managed with a different cream which he believes will clear it up completely. Then we will have a maintenance regime to follow if any flare ups occur. He is very confident, her skin will be almost perfect in the coming weeks. He was an excellent paed and I was there nearly 2 hours! Marley was so good through out the ***** test which they do on their backs, she never flinched or cried once when they *****ed her - my very brave little bubba! They weighed her, measured her and she is a very healthy baby. I am just so relieved to find out what was going on and now have a plan to follow. Good news all round.

Happy Valentines to everyone, hope your loved ones do something extra special for you today!
