OMG, Nickel, you're a genius! There IS a shopping centre right beside the uni, near the train station...I'll check it out in a fortnight! I knew I'd have to express because if I had left it I would have become engorged. I didn't want to leave it till it became a more urgent need to express, so I used the break (which would have been a natural time between feeds, anyway), to get rid of some milk. I filled a 125ml bottle, both times, suffice to say! There's enough frozen EBM at home to tide him over without what I expressed on Friday, but I don't like throwing it out, so I'd rather keep it cool in a fridge or cooler bag so that I can take it home to freeze, and have plenty...just in case! I also didn't want to be in peak hour traffic...ballooning, with no way to do anything about it!
I sort of know how you feel with Ruby today, unfortunately. I love my Oscy to bits and pieces, but today I just wanted to do something a little creative that wasn't study. I wanted to paint a picture frame of his because the peach colour it was just meant the picture was never going to be hung, and his dear grand-aunt gave it to him. Anyway, DP was sort of watching him, then left him with me and because I was doing something that needs my attention (paint mixing, painting...you know, stuff that requires you to use your eyes!), I kept having to call for him to watch Oscar. It's not actually Oscar's fault, and I'm not angry with him, so I'm not sure where my angst lies. I may have summed it up with DP when he commented on my agitation that Oscar had woken up earlier from a sleep - it's ok for him, cos he gets to do what he wants, when he wants. I have to wait for Oscar to sleep, for someone to watch him, or for him to want to play long enough without getting stroppy and velcro-y. If I had space to paint inside, then it would have been fine. However, we don't so I was outside, and Oscar kept putting things in his mouth. Not that I'm too concerned about his dirt consumption, but when he starts to cough and splutter and spews out a leaf or gumnut...then I get mad cos DP should be watching him instead of disappearing to do his own thing at will. I'm ranting, but that's the consternation I felt today. Probably not quite yours, but frustration, for sure. All is well now, I have finished the painting I aimed to do and we just had a giggle together (Oscar and I, not DP and I...he's just headed out to a fire call...)
As for my wireless - Macs come with the wireless cards as a standard, so we just needed the Airport Express (like a router, but we can also connect it to our stereo speakers and, viola! we have computer music throughout the house!). So, it wasn't too hard or fidgety to set up. As part of my Mac missionariness...get thee a Mac!
Mel - got any pics of Marley crawling? She'd be so cute...imagine the tangles her and Oscar can get into together now? They'll be all over each other! Not like he wasn't all over her before, the tart
