Thanks, Mel - not so flustered now, it's coming together! Tonight we had dinner at my parents', so now we don't have much food in the fridge to be thrown out, and anything that's there, I'm sure our housesitting friend will eat. A couple of last minute things to take care of before we leave tomorrow, but nothing major. I can feel the butterflies already. If Julie could do this last year, then I can! Heaven help me! That reminds me - a rendition of Ave Maria helps me practice the lyrics, but also gets Oscar off to Noddy land...not sure how that will go down on the plane...
I'll check in while over there (taking laptop), but I'll say: take care girlies and I hope school starting goes well for those with school children!
Off to tidy house some more...

Enjoy your trip Maya, really looking forward to hearing all about it when you return.

I cant believe it is almost time for school to go back already (it starts in WA on 4th Feb). I actualley feel a bit sad this year that school is going back without me for the first time since I grduated, not that I want to be working at the moment, just feel like I am missing out IYKWIM. I have actalley decided to go back to uni and start my postgrad studies (if I get accepted). I am looking at doing a specialist literacy course (which is my area of interest) and hope that when I have finished I can become a Literacy co-ordinator in a school, and as Literacy is a big area of development I think it is a wise choice.

Tori has a fat lip, poor baby slipped on the tiles in the kitchen last night and landed on her face and put her teeth into her top lip. It was right before bed time too, so for an hour and a half we tried to get her to bed and every time she just screamed. Eventually at 10pm I loaded her into the car and drove around the dark streets of our semi dodgy neighbour hood in my pj's until she fell asleep. I am glad I didnt get stopped by the police because I must have looked a right sight!

Other than that things here are great, Liam is sleeping well and is now approx 5kgs (so he has gained nearly 1.7kgs since we got discharged from hospital 4 weeks ago), I cant believe how fast they get big!

I hope everyone is well and enjoying summertime with their babies!

    Thanks girls!
Maya I hope you have an awesome time, have fun
I hear you about school, I have to get the kids ready twice this year for a new school year, lol. This time it is Bree, Makayla going back to school and Allanah starts school, she is so ready and wants to be there yesterday, lol.
Then in August their new school begins a new school year and Bree, Kayla, lana and Melissa will go off to school. Melissa will do 1/2 days 5 days a week,so excellent and it's all free WOOT!!
That's if we go....seems to be a bungle with Accomodation size. Well they have 5 or so months to work it out for us.
Edit LMAO Ali you poor bugger and poor baby, Nathan is always bleeding...I hate tiles

ouch poor Tori. When i was 5 i put my tooth right through my lip and end up with 5 stitches, still have the scar, i remember it pretty well we (me, bro, sis) were jumping from the patio onto the trampoline. i didnt want to get off and my bro (6 yrs older) got mad i wouldnt get off so ran and jumped anyway. as he did he went down i went up we connected on the reverse and his knee connected with my chin...... my dumb brother was concerned about the hole i put in his tracksuit pants lol.....
i hope her lip goes down soon. Nixon has bruises and scratches all over him atm. always doing something to himself.

lots of kids starting school this year how exciting!

Well we are home, we had a great trip loved been home and seeing all my family again cant wait until we are down there for good..We have decided that we will move in dec so that May can have a whole yr at school as if we move in june ( which is when I wanted to go) she wouldnt be able to go as she is too young in vic, So this way she will just be able to go to prep here then again next year.

At this stage we dont know if we will drive again as the memorys are still too fresh LOL Kai decided that she hated the car two days back into the trip so it was a long drive back with her cring and pulling her arms out of her seat straps and wanting me to hold her poor little thing she was just so board.

Well some good news my sister and her partner have decided to start tring for a baby in the later half of this year and as DH and I have decide that we too will start for number 4 in the new year ( 09 ) we might have one near the same time or thats what we are hoping for anyway.. It would be so good if it all works out as she is one of the main resons I want to move back, and after having all my babies away from my home state it would be so good to have one at home...It would nice for the cousins to grow up together..

It was so nice to meet up with you Maya Jess and Mel you all have such wounderful children. mine can be a bit loud and run a muck a lot but thats kids I guess ( or I hope ).

well I have to start my day ( as I am still in my jimmys ) will start on all the personals soon but it just too hard when I have been away for so long as so much has happend..

Maya have a great trip are you moving away aswell or did I read that bit wrong..
Julie so sorry to hear about you house what a shame glad nothing else happened just a bit of damaged, lucky he didnt go through you room.

hope those of you who are PG are getting through the MS ok and copeing with this heat..

Jess sorry we couldnt stop on the way through but with the floods we just wasnt sure if we would get through the top end and thought we need to make up as much time as we could in case we had to sit in a closed road for a while.. But as it turneds out it wasnt too bad apart from Mackay where there was alot of water on the road and we had a few scary moments with aquaca ( sp? ) planing on the road almost went off the side the road at one point into a huge water hole scared the ***** out of DH and me but thats not hard for me but normally takes a bit for DH.

OK really have to go now Kai is very stinky...

Tali glad you had a good trip

Think I will have a better day today. Yesterday was ashocker with Ollie screaming all day - because I had a slurpee on Monday! His tummy doesn't do OD's on sugar very well

Tyron was really unsettled last night and today, i dont really know what is the matter but in the last 2 weeks my milk bank has lowered and he is getting more FF than EBM now, should you be able to actually dump a babies poo in the loo this early on?? im wondering if pooing is hurting him from the formula? (im using a AR one which has helped with reflux & spewing) he is still pooing atleast once a day but the last few have been able to flush......

Tali- great to see you back, that would have been scarey driving back. how is your town much flooding where you are? I have a gf in Caloundra and not sure what the sunshine coast is like atm?

Nickers hope you sort out the milk sitch - is he able to go on the boob or are you still pumping? There was a thread about probs with pumping which might help? I am pumping now to get EBM stores going - god it sucks compared to straight BF!!

It is good Tyron is pooing - Ollie seems to be a once a week man - eek!

Nic- as I have had to FF babies you do have to watch for the iron content as this can consertpate (sp?) some babies S26 Gold seems to do this to most babies I know that were FF I used Karicare and my girls didnt have a problem. FF babies will have harder poo's but it shouldnt be so hard that you can use the toilet yet unless you have started food it should be still a " mister wippy " poo, If he is still upset you can get a baby laxitive over the counter from your chemist but you may want to ask you health nurse first.. Hope some of this helps..I think when it comes to FF babies its a matter of finding the one that works for baby..

Rory - Kai was a once a week girl until she was 12 mth it was bliss I wish all my babies were like that... Be careful for what you wish for though as when she started to poo did she ever lol she went from once a week to 4 or 5 times a day sometime more so unfair always when BHL was away too, then when he came home she would only do them once a day....

Hi girls, I thought I would have heaps to catch up on but thankfully you haven't been too chatty LOL!!!

Rory - sorry babe, but I wish you had a mobile that I could have called you on. My aunty lives in Gladstone Park, just a quick trip from your house. Would have loved to catch up. I head over that way a bit, so definately try to catch up next time. How weird that a slurpee plays havoc with Ollie's tummy. And they are so nice on a hot day. Steer clear of those for a while.

Nic - you are right, Chelsea starting school is scary but exciting. I think we have 3 starting school, Chelsea, Liz and Allanah. Such big girls now. I think the first few times on formula might make them a bit constipated but it soon clears. I used to make some bottles with a little bit more water to help things along.

Jess - Liz sounds just as excited as Chelsea!

Dee - gotta love the idea of free schooling! I hope they sort out your accommodation for you, but like you said, they have 5+ months.

Ali - its so nice to have a passion that you can follow through. You go for it. And what a great thing to get into. Great weight gain for Liam. Poor Tori, I will tell you Marley's fat lip story below, our Junie babies always seem to do things together.

Tali - glad you got home safely. You guys do so well to do such a long trip with 3 kids. How exciting that you and your sister might be pregnant together. Great that you are trying for #4. Maya and I were thinking of "09" babies, so it might be a big year. Chelsea was doing her fair share of running around that day, Marley is a little bit more reserved, but they all had fun together. Bit scary in the floods. Is it still raining pretty bad?

I had a GF come over for lunch on Wed. I was in the kitchen cooking a cake while Chlesea and Marley were playing in the front lounge. I heard an awful scream, ran in and Marley turned around covered in BLOOD! I was so freaked out, it was just streaming out of her mouth like a tap. Chelsea was crying, I wasn't even sure what happened. I raced Marley into the kitchen and kept wiping her mouth with a bib but it kept pouring out. It was all over my hands, her clothes, it looked so bad. I got ice and wrapped it in the bib and kept putting that were the blood was coming from. Marley was being so good, she stopped crying and let me put the ice on her lip. When it finally stopped, I could see 2 huge holes in her lip. Her front teeth went right through her lip. It looked like a big snake bite! I cleaned us up and she seemed OK. She went for a sleep and when she woke up, her lip was so fat and it hangs down. The puncture marks are so raised and they stick out. She keeps putting her hands in her mouth so I'm sure it hurts. I found out that Chelsea had pushed her away as she was trying to get some lollies that Chelsea had snuck out of the kitchen cupboards. I think the incident has finally made Chelsea realise how dangerous it can be to push and she has started being alot more careful around Malrey. Lets hope it continues.

Marley is off to another orientation day at creche tomorrow and she is staying for sleep time without me there. I hope it goes well. Chelsea is stayiing at my brother and SIL place tomorrow, her and my niece are having a movie night.

Hope everyone else is happy and well.

Mel....Pat did that about 2 months ago! His bottom teeth went through his top lip. He had a scar for a while but it has all healed up now!
Liz is looking forward to school, but Tim is starting to get emotional about it..Gr 2 is a big step.

Mel poor Marley, hopefully it won't leave any marks once it's healed.

Tali glad that your holiday went well and that you made it back without hitting to much of the floods, that would have been scary with the aqua planing.

Well not much happening here, I've got everything for the boys school stuff just need to cover the books now. We're planning to go camping this weekend near the beach, maybe Bribe Island, not 100% yet so will see.

    hugs xoxo
