Laranna - yep, definitely sounds like a fast letdown to me too. Like Kat said, try the "upside down" technique to start, or else you could try expressing off a bit before you start feeding. I'm all for night time routines too. Like Jodi said, we've done it with Izzy right from the start and she's a brilliant sleeper. Finding it a bit harder to do with Elena because it always seems to be that she is either needing a feed, is sound asleep or Isabelle needs something when I am wanting to bath Elena - either that or Izzy is already in bed (the girls' bathroom is right next to Izzy's room).
Kristale - little pimples for us too, and the skin on Elena's face is so dry at times too. Hoping it clears up for her soon too. The pharmacy is called Padbury Pharmacy, and its in the little shopping centre on Warburton Avenue, Padbury. Really easy to get to - freeway to Hepburn Ave exit, then about 2 minutes from there. I have been giving it to Elena after every feed (except for one or two night feeds) on Friday and Saturday and she's been great. I've not given it to her for two feeds this morning (because she has been so good) and she is now screaming so its back to the bottle for us. Its well worth the drive!
Kat - yay for success with at least one little goat. Love Casper's name. You're absolutely right too - mummies don't get anywhere near enough recognition for just how tough this job is.
Jodi - I am sooooo jealous of Emily's 10 hour sleep.
Had a pretty good night with Elena last night. Put her to sleep in her cradle at 8pm and she didn't wake until 1.30 am. Was the first time in about a week that DH and I have gone to bed at the same time so it was lovely to get some cuddle time with him.
Hope everyone's enjoying the weekend - especially the Perth girls with this gorgeous day!
