Wow, heaps to answer today.
Leanne- conjunctivitis would be gummy and when she wakes up her eyelids may be glued shut, this is hghly contagious and would be likely to have been caught at CC, Riley has had it already just wipe their eyes from inside edge to out with a cotton ball soaked in water. i managed to clear Riley's up without using eye ointment but you may need to get some if its really bad.
Vic- Loved the sheep story, don't feel bad about Adam's baby book Riley doesn't even have one LOL I have scrapbooked Erin until about 10 months too, all my grand plans for beinmg organised with Riley have gone out the window.
Kim- toys- do not stress, kids with too many toys like that don't develop their imagination and creativity and its actually harming them NOT helping them (this is my teacher opinion) Riley has a basket of toys, some of which are from friends and he still prefers pieces of paper and other people's stuff not the expensive toys most of the time. He really loves a water bottle half filled with rice and taped shut which he can rattle.
Smacking- yes I have smacked both Jess and Erin but prob a few times a year if that and always just with my hand never a wooden spoon or anything (mum and dad hit us a fair bit and usually with something) little tip- when they know you are about to smack they sometimes put their arm round quickly so you hit their wrist with yours and it hurts!!(you I mean! Jess used to do it and it p#ssed me off heaps LOL) I also have never smacked the arms or face always bottom or thigh. I agree with Shazz, I have smacked in a panic then regretted it too.
Major house cleaning today, the place is a tip and PIL are coming tonight (mil will help if its not finished I just feel slack) Got to get to the shops to purchase the Easter bunny's eggs cause every time I have been at the shops Erin has been with me.
I left out Easter eggs for my class in the baskets they had made on Wednesday and they were so excited, sometimes the little ones are cute LOL
