We had it all done today. I had a MASSIVE chat to my health nurse who is such a wonderful woman. Explained ALOT to me as Im so uneducated on it all.
I decided it was for the best IMO.
I know why I do it, can you tell me why you dont? Such seeing if she neglected to give me some info
Lucy LOVED the taste of it

rota virus one I dont like as it is a live virus you all have been informed to be extra careful for the nextmonth with poopy nappies, you must make sure to wrap and discard inoutside bin imediatly, wash hands before picking up bub if you can or use sanatising liquid after changing the nappy, the rota virus being a live virus means it is actually in their poop for up to a month so you, hubby, other kids can catch it so be extra careful also it has only been on the market/scheduale for such a short time and when it was first relased in the US market a number of babies got very sick or worse it was then taken off the market and re-released under a different name...dont freak out anyone it has to be safe I know but I dont like it... also as jack doesn't attend daycare we dotn have access to large play facilties etc the chance of luke coming in contact with it is unlikely IYKWIM!!! as for chicken pox well I could go on about it for ages, one it doesn't last you need to revaccinate genrally children getting chicken pox isn't so bad, even when Iwas a kid if someone had chicken pox parent swould send their kids to play anyway in Japan where they have been doing chicken pox vaccination for 25 odd yrs a incredible amount of vaccinated young acdults in teens early 20's are getting shingles which used to be a old persons disease anf you had to have had chicken pox to get it, so until they find out why these young people who haven't had chicken pox but were vaccinated against are getting shingle I wont touch it with a 10 foot pole.... again this is my opinion and not a medical opinion, I will probably get both boys the chicken pox vaccination that you get in yr 8 if they haven't had it by then

HTH to explain what I mean... I vaccinate for everything else though!!!!!!!

Got cha MCHN did explain about there poos. But she said anyone going through chemo etc should be careful. Just to make sure Ill make us all careful
Chicken pox one is a tough one though. I got for Annabelle but that was before I started questioning all of this. Not really changing my mind but I think its good that we're all educated on it so we can make an educated decision

yes be extra careful with nappies anyone is at risk I would be at risk due to this heart problem I have make me more prone to getting sick etc...but I know some people who what not imformed about the nappies at all and were quite shocked to learn ... I think its great we have access to things now and dont have to take what the medical profession tell us as gosple, mind you my IL's thinkI am a idiot and apparently rota virus is a new thing the fact I had it when I was 5 and spent time in hospital... MIL told me that must have been fo rsomething else

Love how the Ils think they know it all. Mine finally get I do things MY way and if ill listen to anyone it'll be MY family, not theres.
When I fot the rota done with Annabelle it was the every baby born after April 07 that started getting it so its VERY new! I wasn't told ANYTHING about nappies etc.
Its fine they want us to do all these vax but I do think they need to tell the hole truth before we choose, to do it or not to do it. Instead of having to do out own damn research!

actually while I am on a roll those of us with #2 do you find your hubby/partners are different this time round sought of disinterested in bubs Jase is driving me batty he does nothinig fo r Luke unless I ask... with Jack he did feeds galore always did his bath... changed his nappy played with him happy to hold, this time round I practically have to throw luke at him fo rhim to do anything he has done maybe 1/2 dozen feeds all up I have done every other one... he has only done one night feed but that doesn't bother me so much as he works out of the home... he has bathed him once I think and then it was me asking can you bath luke ... I still had to dress him, he will change him if he is whingy and I say he might be wet do you want to check...

anyway just wondering if they seem different this time round???

Rach- Empty some inbox Im trying to send you a PM

Ummm well at 1st Clint was alot more unhelpful then he ever was with Annabelle. Now he's fine with Lucy but I do agree not as focused at 1st. I think maybe because they're so tiny. Im really not sure. Im glad he snapped out of it though was driving me nuts! I think it was because they get used to the older ones doing it for themselves pretty much now and they had to get back into doing everything for a little human again.

Do you think that might change as Luke gets older? As he'll be able to play and talk etc

After losing your little girl then having trouble with Jack he will always be speacial to you But Dh really does need to bond with Luke, you dont want him feeling it as he get solder kwim?
Maybe leave Luke with Dh for a few hours while you and Jack go do something. Swimming always bonds father and child?

Firstly - we love you Stevie so please stay strong! I know we barely know you, but we can all tell how much you love A and how courageous you are for wanting to work everything out with DH. Huge hugs and kisses to you and A.

OMG all the discussion re injections is slot to think about... E is due for his in a week and I had not questioned getting them, but now I am really considering....Esp the rota virus.

Afm, we went to paeds dr on Monday for 6 week check. Bub is now 5.42kg and 58cm. Dr said this was good for length and he has a really good shape (whatever that means!). All good and he also suggested I give solids at 4mths not 6 and introduce new foods each day if I wish.... All sounds good to me.

One day I will have to put a photo on my ticker... Just need to work out how.....

    XoXo.
