uh oh, so much to catch up on! I hope my poor little brain can cope.

Brooke, hope Charli is Ok you poor thing, an accident does NOT make you a bad mother, don't think like that, silly. Goodness!!

Soph, hair on the toes :-k maybe that's why I always pull it off, I am paranoid about hair, Now I know why, hope Lucie is OK! & I hope she is still feeding well.
How far along are you now, can you feel bubby kicking yet?

Hi Jo, nice to hear you've had some good nights with Sammy!!

Trace, HI!! Love the nappies, especially the fluro one !! Indah is such a treasure!!Are you TTC too?

Hi Cass, has Kaitlyns tooth come through yet?

Yay for Josh, 7 months!!Where does the time go?

Hiya fletch, how is Zane today?

I hope I haven't forgotten any body, HI if I did.
Zac has a cold, again, this time I think it is real, we were up every hour last night with a screaming baby! he has never done that before, I am so nackered today, i haven;t had to get up to him since he was 3 weeks old, & staggering around my house all hours finding panadol or demazin has near killed me. He seems happy enough today but if I dont catch his dripping nose staight away, he licks it eewwww. And he is crawling, not up on kness crawling, but the good ole comando crawl, he he he he atleast he can get around .... sort of .....

Ok I've got to go, I have heaps of work to do & the parent/teacher interveiws are today.
    have a great day all.....

Hi Storm! Poor little Zacman. Hope he gets better soon and you can get some decent sleep. How is he feeding these days?

Tracey - July is not too far away at all! You'll be up the duff again in no time!

Well I checked out the toy library this morning. Only cost me $20 to join 'cos they pro rata it for the financial year. Got out a jolly jumper and some other smaller toys. It's great! I just chucked everything in a big tub of disinfectant first (who know where the toys have been!). And Lucie seems very happy to have a change. Not sure that she is overly keen on the JJ, so at least this way I can test drive and decide to buy it or not.

    My sister comes tonight. Yay!

Munchkin not very hungry today but oh well, what can you do?

    Hey Girls

Cass - Of course you aren't being rude! It would be great to catch up with you too. We will all have to get our heads together and work out a day that suits everyone. How's Kaitlyn going with her tooth today?

Brooke - How is Charlotte doing today? How are you? I have heard about the mother's group at the community centre but have never gone as I don't know anyone else who goes and I'm a big chicken and didn't want to go on my own!

Soph - Have fun with your sister! The toy library is a good idea - and perfect for doing a test drive on all the toys. I hope Lucie has another good sleep for you tonight.

Storm - Poor Zac! I hope he is feeling better soon and you both get some more sleep tonight!

Jo, Fletch, Tracey, Georgie, Louise, hi!

We have had a pretty quiet day. We've been out the past 3 days and Josh needed a day at home. We just did a bit of grocery shopping. Which reminds me...did anyone get their pre-pregnancy brain back? I certainly didn't - I have a short term memory like a sieve. I bought a bottle of wine at the bottle shop before I went into the supermarket today and I put the wine in the trolley before I strapped Josh into the baby seat. I then realised that the straps on the baby seat were broken so I moved Josh to another trolley and left the wine in the first one and walked off without it. And I do stuff like this all the time!! :boggle: I remembered the wine when I finished shopping and went back to check, but of course it was gone. Oh well, I've shouted someone a nice bottle of wine to go with their dinner! At least it was only a bottle of wine this time and not a bag of CDs/DVDs like the one I misplaced last year when I was shopping for Christmas presents!! Can I please have my brain back?!

Hehehehe Tracey that makes more sense then the crawling theory . We are lucky at our office as I think you just need to come back! We have had 3 girls in the last 12months come back from maternitly leave already pregnant ..one of the managers came back 6months pregnant already!.

    Brooke
I hope you and Charli are feeling better today. HOw was she today?.

No Luck on another rusk recipe yet Soph. Although this morning I was buzzing around calling Melbourne to get details to send a friend a pressie and calling a girl from mothers group and generally just doing stuff and I looked up from my seat at Kaitlyn playing in her stand up gym and there she was chewing on one of them which I had forgot to clean up the night before ewwwwwww. Anyway means she obviously likes them hehe. Yay on your good sleep and also on Lucies little toes getting better. Funny thing the JJ , I think they feel a little insecure when they are hanging there . Kaitlyn seems to have worked it out now and she enjoys it now.

Storm I hope little Zac Man is feeling a little better tonight ewww on the licking his drips hehe. Yay on the crawling!!!

Bec dont worry I am still pregnant brains sometimes! When I was pregnant though I was soooo bad ..I used to actually create my own words and use them in a sentance. My girlfriends at work would pull me up on it as I would just keep on going not even noticing!.

Louise how did the Christening go? I spoke to Jackie today about going to that store at Marrickville on Friday after MG, is that still ok for you?.

We had a shocker of a night last night...Kaitlyn did not fall asleep until 130am ..arghhh then she was up from 6-7am and went back to bed until 9am . Bugger those toofies. Then today with my lack of sleep I got a very small migraine which lasted all day arghhhh ...I am exhusted!. So it is off to bed very early for me tonight.

Tracey - Your birthday sounds like heaps of fun. Perfect baby-conceiving surroundings I say! It must be sooooo good to have great parents close by like that. I am very envious.

Cas - I'll hunt around a bit later and try and find the other recipe for you, but great that Kaitlyn likes the other ones! Hope last night was better for you and this tooth stops giving Kaitlyn grief. Is it one of the top ones? I've heard they are meant to be pretty bad.

Bec - Oh dear re the wine and CD's/DVD's. I reckon someone just follows you around in the hope that you will forget something and then they can collect! I still have pg brain but now it is x2

Well Lucie had a bad day yesterday. Feeding wise she was right down and I had to fight her to take each bottle which I just hate doing. Then she screamed for entire half an hour drive with my sister from the airport. I think my sister was starting to wish she hadn't come! And then she was really grizzly and difficult to get down. Every time I went in she was standing right up on the side of her cot. But she did only wake once after she finally settled again at 9pm, and woke at 5am, so at least that was good!

Just a quick one from me this morning.
    Hi all.
Zaccie is still really bad today, but he did sleep OK lastnight, he seems to be groaning himself to sleep. I have been giving him demazin but it doesn't seem to be working, he still has a heaps snotty nose, & the rest. Should I try something else for him? Perhaps dimeatapp, or it is bad to change medicines on them?
Thanks guys, IF he seetles down I'll come back & post properly, I just don't know how to help him anymore, I know he is sick, but all the crying is just making him worse, he doesn't want to be held & he doesn't want to be put down, he wont eat, or drink except the water I am giving him in the medicine dropper, should we go to the doc?Maybe it is something more sinister than a common cold. Even the vaporiser isn't helping

Oh Storm you poor thing, and poor Zac. Have you taken him to hospital? Has he started feeding at all? Just try and keep as much water in him via the dropper that you can I guess - that's what my BIL (a Dr) says to do when Lucie won't feed. Even 5-10ml every 20mins to 30mins adds up. Don't worry Lucie is flat out refusing her 10am bottles now. It has me distressed, but seeing paed Friday re her head lump so will talk to him then.

Fletch - You will be fine. I travelled for over a month with Lucie - heaps of flights and long car trips and strangers and she was a gem. I am sure Zane will oblige!

Yay Brooke, that's great news for Charli!!

All the best for Lucie's paed visit Soph, I am sure all will be fine! How are Lucie's toes?

Zaccie just has a ful 180 bottle, the ventolin must be helping somewhat, though he is still struggling to breath clearly, he sounds like an old man, & his voice has just about gone, poor little poppet, I hope it doesn't get any worse otherwise he has to go to hosp. I couldn't bear it. [-o< Dr also told me to give him juice instead of the water, to keep up his energy. I thought water for hydration was more important :-k .
    Anyways he is needin gme

Just a quick pop in to say hi to everyone, this week has been pretty insane! We just got back from a Mothers group excursion visit to the Kidsafe house at Westmead, quite interesting. 4 of us went from Springwood on the train, prams and all, bit of an adventure! But Im totally stuffed!

James has now crashed, thank heavens, I can get onto tidying up before our visitors and DH return from their meeting in town. My cold has passed, thanks everyone.

Hope everyone who is crook is feeling better, poor little mites and poor sleep deprived mums! My thoughts are with you. Glad to hear Charli is fine, and no more bad mother stuff Brooke! It can /does happen to us all, so plase dont feel bad.

Interesting news about your MIL, Jo, cant wait to hear how it goes tonight!

Fletch, have fun in Melb, Im sure Zane with be a trooper! Drive carefully too.

Apart from poor Brooke and Charli's mishap, how was the sydney meet? I was thinking of you on Monday and wishing I could have come along...

Brooke - Awesome news re Charli's burn. It's obviously not harming her at all, and well done on the quick first aid. I think it's totally fine to give your crusts, Lucie crawls over to us whenever we are eating to demand a taste!

Georgie - Wow busy day. Hope you get all your housework done. I hate it!

Oh Jo your MIL sounds funny, sorry! Hopefully they will be very happy together anyway!

Storm - Ok now I'm jealous re the 180ml, but awesome that Zac seems to be on the mend. Will he always have to take the ventolin now?

My sister cooking dinner tonight - yippeeee!

Dont worry Soph all that milk & the medicine came charging back at me about 5 mins after I logged off, & he didn't have another bottle all night but did eat some brocoli. I guess it is too hard for him to suck his bottle anyway, he's had about 20mls today, but had rice cereal with mashed banana  yucky!!! I'm not so sure what is going on with the ventolin atm, Doc did say when he gets a cold this will happen, as it is more of a virus than a permenant condition he has to go back next week. He had a great sleep lastnight, so I reckon he is slowly getting better.

JO!!!!!!!! what the? hope you had a really great time at the wedding.

Wow georgie, you did have a busy Day!!!

It is fine to give Charli crusts Brooke and bits & pieces off your plate too. Norty Dh gave Zaccie a frozen mint patty yesterday  he loved it, but there was chocolate from 1 end to the other!!

Hope everyone has a great day, I've got the last 3 days worth of housework to do, would love for someone else to do it, but I think the fairies have left......

Hi everyone, hope you're all having a good day.

Mitch, sounds like you are flat out, don't know how you manage to fit everything in, you must be mega organised!

Tegan, that is so cute of Lily, cheeky girl! Kaleb doesn't have the ABC zoo (yet!) but he has the Little People farm and he absolutely loves it, plays with it heaps. I agree, Fisher Price stuff is great.

Dach, good to hear from you! Wow, only one week to go... I shall be keeping an eye out for news! IKWYM, I am worried about how Kaleb is going to be with the baby (more about that later) but thanks for reminding me I need to get a gift for him for when bub arrives, that is a good idea. Re: the pee & poo terminology, I actually just use 'pee' and 'poo'...it would be disconcerting, but also hilarious, to hear a toddler saying 'I $hit'!

Kellee, have a great time away, look forward to hearing all about it when you get back! Kaleb is still a shocker with the teeth brushing. I feel the same, I don't want to give it negative associations, but it is hard. He loves having the toothbrush to copy me when I'm doing mine, but as soon as I try and do his he has a tantrum, throws himself on the floor and clamps his mouth shut. Some days are worse than others, so I just try and do what I can on the good days, and hopefully he'll start to cooperate if I persist (wishful thinking!)

Mooshie, good to hear from you too, hope Lani continues to get better and that you don't have to go through the antibiotics thing any more!

Well, I've had a bad couple of days, I am really stressing out over Kaleb's behaviour. He is pretty good at home and in familiar surrounds, but anywhere new and he goes nuts. He is so aggressive, and I honestly don't know where it's coming from, because DH and I are not aggressive people. Yesterday arvo we went to look at a car, and there was 2 small kids at the house. He just runs around the yard taking their toys and pushing them out the way. When I hold him and tell him 'NO' he screams and hits the kids. We went to playgroup this morning and it was constant pushing kids out the way, yelling at them, and throwing himself on the ground screaming when I tell him off. We were playing with balls, and when it was time to put them away, he just cracked and went up to the nearest kid and pulled his hair. I just had to leave then before I started crying in front of everyone. The main thing I want to know is, should I persist in getting him to socialise with other kids, or should I just avoid these sorts of situations for a while?

Sorry for the mega post, but I feel pretty desperate at the moment.

OH Jo you poor thing! Kaleb is used to being at home with all his own toys and everything is his, I am guessing that's why he wants everything when he is oat other peoples houses and playgrp. To me that is natural behaviour, it is hard when he hurts the other kids. I know you have been trying to get him to stop, have you removed him from the situation and tried to calm him before allowing him to reenter the situation. Kids have trouble controlling their emotions at this age. Jess is also abit volitile in some situations, and will scream and tantrum too, but the fact is she is always getting things taken off her and snatched away cos she has 3 above her. In the home environment he has no reason to feel threatened. I think you need to try to be calm after he has misbehaved, firstly, getting down on his level and talking calmly, telling him he can't hurt the kids, and has to wait his turn for the toy for eg. If he is angry just try to hold him and keep talking to him calmly to try to soothe him, when he calms down you could go with him and help him get a toy or talk to the kids and try to get him to play nicely. I hope this heps you, it's not easy when our kids don't behave, cos we feel like we have done something wrong, but you are a good mum and Kaleb is a typical kid to me! As for tooth brushing, I don't really push it until they are about 3. Then I get them to do it everyday (Hopefully). Jess will brush hers at all timesof the day and I let her.

    nothing to share really
been online way too long and really done nothing LOL Have heaps to put on ebay and am doing nothing about it, should do it but am feeling tired.

    have a nice arvo

Oh Jo you poor thing. Harry was (is) very similar to Kaleb. He is getting better at social situations now he is older but he could be very difficult when he was younger. I felt exactly the same as you do and I did tend to avoid things like play group and mother's group because of it. I stopped going to mothers group after I had Grace because he was too rough around the babies - not that he didn't like babies, he just didn't understand to be gentle and naturally the mothers were less than impressed so I never went back. Anyway I use time out or the naughty corner (whatever you want to call it) and now that he is older I can give him consequences - like 'if you do that again we will go home'. As for whether to persist in socialising, it does depend on the situation - as I said, I stopped going to mother's group but I thought that best considering there were small babies and the mothers did not like having a rowdy toddler around. If you are starting to dread going then maybe stop for a while, but at the same time Kaleb is not going to learn how to play nicely around other kids unless he is put in social situations. I am sorry I don't really have an answer for you, but don't think it's anything you've done, he really is acting normally and it will pass as he grows and learns how to handle his emotions better. But if play group is starting to stress you out then maybe have a break from it.

Those little people things are so cool, i couldn't resist buying Lily a car with a person and a baby with it. She loves it. good thing i had a david jones gift card for it, so didnt have to pay for it!

I know it's a long ay off but i was thinking of buying Lily a little trike bike for xmas. Would that be suitable for a 2yo?

Jo - I have no clue on how you could stop Kaleb from being so aggressive. I hope when the new bubby comes he isn't like that. Lily hasn't really been around other kids(don't know any) so i hope she won't be like that 8-[
