had james parent teacher interviews today,i saw 4 of his teachers and they all said the same thing.A+ results but disruptive in class.........what can i do!!!!!i just hope his brains can get him through and that when he gets to yr 10 he buckles down when he realises that he is getting to the serious buisiness side of things.we are in the middle of renovating our ensuite,we have taken out the old shower screen and all the tiles,re plastered and now waiting for the new tiles to arrive which should be tomorow,so we are spending the weekend tiling between footy and basketball games.the new shower screen will be installed on wednesday and then it is up to me to paint......
reece goes home on sat night so we will have just the 4 kids all next week and then he is back again the following week.i have been back and forth to the loo tonight,i am thinking i may have caught coreys bug!gosh i hope not.
tracey LOL about the texta.kids gotta love them.

Nikki - A+ results but disruptive sounds to me like either a) he isnt being extended enough in class - if he can get A+ and still have time to be disruptive, he sounds bored. That was me in maths through the best part of high school, but especially years 9 and 10.
Or he is embarrassed about being smart so is compensating by trying to be cool as well?

What did the teachers suggest to try - they shouldnt just be saying hes disruptive, talk to him etc, they should have a formulated approach, especially at a private school. Can they give him extended work or get him to help the other kids (would he do it?) instead of being a distraction?

It doesn't really step up in terms of workload until year 11 and 12, unless the school will allow him to take on a year 11 subject in year 10 - which would enable him to have the more challenging work to do, and less time to be bored.

Cindy - what do you tihnk of the yellow? I like the opaque (mixing bowls etc) but am not sold on the sheer stuuf. And dont start me on the forms.

racheal.we tried to do the extended program with him last year after we had a meeting and decided that he was bored and he did great with it as far as results go but still had the same attitude towards school.he definantly does have a problem with nerds.he DOES NOT want to be seen as one.he is a funny kid who just cant seem to help himself and loves to muck around with his mates,he gets a buzz out of being able to get everyones attention and is a natural leader, the teachers said they would not be surprised to see him running a major coorporation or an electrical engineer or i.t but he is still young only just turned 13 and doent have a clue what he wants to do when he is older,so i am hoping that when he has a goal and becomes more mature things will settle down and he will do well.fingers crossed.i feel really crap today as the day wore on i could feel myself getting sicker and sicker and i had sooo many injections to do and i am absolutly drained.the babies are in bed, grant is out having drinks with a friend so i think i will leave reece up with the boys and get an early night.

    Hi!

Long time no post! Just a quick one from me - I promise to reply properly soon!

Just got ready for Dylan's b'day party! I'm very excited - pressies are wrapped and we've gone with a wiggles them so I've got balloons up and wiggles stuff everywhere! I made mini cupcakes and wrote Happy birthday dylan on them and had put yellow, blue, red and purple icing on them - I'm quite proud of myself actually considering how not creative I am! LOL!

No stress if you guys can't make it tomorrow! Just do what you can do!

Rachael - I'm so sorry I haven't been in touch...gosh I'm just so awful at the moment...I can't seem to get organised with anything! I should have the books by Thursday this week...I'll make arrangements with you once I've received them about delivery...So sorry again...

Ok - better do a bit more tidying up and write in Dylans card and then off to bed - I'm buggered!

Hope you're all well and enjoying your weekend!

    Chat later!

Kristie, no probs hun, your pregnant with 2 boys and organising a first birthday party I might be out your way next weekend so could even pick them up if that works.

I am not going to be able to make it today, have got my brother and his DF coming over.

Well we've finished all our plan alterations for the new house, and spoke to the finance lady yesterday who said the bank are up to doing the valuation for the loan app. and that that should mean everything else is OK, so hopefully this week we'll get our definite yes.

Well I can only say, hats off to Nikki for being a mum to 4 kids as I am knackered. We baby sat our friends kids last night, they have 3. The 2 older ones are fine however Jordan and their 2 year old need constant supervision. They are not up to the sharing stage so there was a bit of snatching and crying going on. I was so tired by the time the older kids went to bed,9pm I was ready to go myself.
This morning was full on with all the kids wanting breaky etc and then wanted to play......
Jamie and I fell in a heap this afternoon when Jordan went to sleep. I slept for 2.5 hrs and Jamie is still asleep.
NIKKI I DONT KNOW HOW YOU DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Krisite I am sorry but we werent able to make it out this afternoon, we are all mega tired. I hope Dylans party went well and you can share some pics with us. I cant wait to hear all about it.

Well 3 weeks of work left and I am counting down. I only actually have 7 days of work in that 3 weeks but it cant come soon enough. I am just getting tired now.
Wardrobe is going in tomorrow FINALLY and Jamie washed all Jordans 000 and 00 clothes so I can start putting things in there when I get home tomorrow, I cant wait. I cant get over how many clothes Jordan had. I cant see that we need anything for Liam however I am sure the relos have gone overboard anyway and bought heaps.
    Take care everyone

tracey,it is hard work isnt it.the only thing that gets me through is i am in bed by 8-9pm most nights, but i am in a routine also and they are my children so i expect it would have been hard for you especially being 36 weeks prg.
well i was sick all weekend,i had a bad night last night aswell but am feeling more human today.kristie i am sooooo sorry i didnt come yesterday,i really couldnt muster up the energy and i didnt want to pass on my lurdy gurdy to anyone else either,i hope he had a great day and was spoilt rotten,i now have to catch up with you and cindy to give the kids there pressies.
grant finished the tiling yesterday,it looks lovely.
tracey i hope the wardrobe looks good.now for the fun part of setting it all up.
am going out with the tweedle girls for dinner tonight in essendon, not feeling up to it but will go anyway.i just dont want to make anyone else sick.

Nikki hope you are feeling better and enjoy your night out tonight. I guess it would be easier if they were your own kids, atleast they would have their own stuff to keep them entertained.

Well work today is slow as system down AGAIN I so cant wait to finish up now as this is really getting on my nerves.
Jordan graduated up to the next swim class today so as of next monday Jamie doesnt need to get into the pool anymore. I am so proud of him. It has come at an awesome time also as I can take Jordan aswell and we can watch with Liam. Jamie is going to book Liam in for classes next year on the same day so he can take them both... thats fine with me.
Are we still going out for tea on the 9th????? thats my last day of work so I would enjoy celebrating that and catching up with you all.

    How are you all?

Tracey - It's getting closer by the day now for u. WOW

Cindy - I saw the new Tupperware catalogue today at playgroup. OMG, who's going backwards to the retro state of things. I've ordered one of the happy choppers already. Seen one earlier this year, and now I've got to have one. Wish they were still blue and not red. The colour has not sold me. I don't mind the kids lunch set and the purple lunch set. Very nice I thought.

Jordan has been doing a good job with the TT he is starting to tell us in advance when he needs to go to toilet, that is progress.
Off to bed early for me, then I can put all Liams clothes in the wardrobe, it got done yesterday and it is fabulous. I am so excited.
