Nessa - Its great that you feel better! Babies suck all the goodness out of you, I dont get it they are just tiny things yet use more nutrients than big people.

I'm glad you had good mummy time Caddie! I need some too. I really want to at least get my eyebrows waxed before DH brothers 40th on Sat. I dont want his family thinking I cant cope with Tiana and myself!

Hope everybody has a good night!
    Happy Valentines Day!!

    Hey all,

    Happy Valentines Day!

Shell - hope you got the bangle!
Nessa - let's hope you start getting some energy soon.
Caddie - yay on getting to the beautician, things like that can really give you a huge boost!

Rylee has had a temperature all day and wouldn't let me put her down so I am knackered and now have a sore throat so she probably does too, will take her to the doctor tomorrow if still not good.

here's hoping to a peaceful night for all us Mums.

Do they get 4 or 8 molars?

Marni, they get 8 molars I think, Ash is up to her 3rd molar, then they usually get there canines before they start getting there last 4 molars.

Laurin- maybe Rylee has ear infection too! I know a few bubs seem to be getting them at the moment.

Ness- Its amazing how much these bubs can suck from you. My iron droppped quite low with Ash even with me trying to eat more iron in my diet. Glad its nothing serious though. Hopefully once you start taking supplements you'll feel alot better and have bit more energy.

Caddie- You reminded me how desperate my eyebrows are for a wax, I look awful at the moment. I think I should get that done and maybe fit in a massage or something, i think I need that at the moment too.

Jodi- Wow Nina is swimming great! I'm unsure how Ash will go cause just having a bath she gets so upset if water is on her face or head, it makes hairwashing a real battle, lots screaming and crying.

Well Df did pop out after work and got me my bangle. and a nice card. Cause I had the day off work to look after Ash I got to cook him nice dinner, but he gets a nice dinner cooked for him every night anyways.

I just cooked him a nice roast and a card, no gifts, it was only just my bday!

rach - not long to go now and all his teeth will be through. I'm glad I'm over the teething stage. Nina's have all been through for about a month now, and it's great not having to worry about teething relief for them.

shell - I'd suggest doing something for Ash with the water. That way she doesn't get too scared of it later in life. There have been a few toddlers in the time Nina has been there who hated the water at first, would scream for the entire lesson. But after a few lessons, they're doing really well at it. It just takes a bit of persistence with them though.
That's great that you got a bangle for valentines day. Did you say it was your 5th anniversary today?

annie - how are you and the kids going? woohoo on DH sending you a card! That's so sweet.

I cooked Heath a baked dinner (stole your idea belle!). Then we finished it off with a yummy cake, then a swim in the pool to cool off.

Yeah Jodi, we met on valentines day 5 years ago. At a valentines ball it was for the heart foundation or something. I might look into the water issue cause you're right I don't want it to become a problem later. Its hard cause she gets so distressed, not just crying but really screaming then she wants to get out of the bath straight away and wants cuddles cause shes been so traumatised by it! I only wash her hair when I have to cause it also upsets me alot.

Shell, i shower with the kids most morning, otherwise i would never get a shower!

At first Alexander was not too keen, but i just put heaps of things in the shower for him to play with, a few plastic cups, bucket and spade etc, he loves it, hope that all works out for you

Aww Shell, poor Ash, must be hard when you can see she's scared. Could you do something like have a bath/shower and get Df to pass her in with lots of cheers, when she gets scared let her straight out, cheer her up, then pass her in again?
With water on the head, we just count to 3 and cheer afterwards, Riv's got no probs with water, but he doesn't like to be surprised.

He's a bit of a pain in the shower though, finds the plug and puts it in straight away! And also in the shower, will crawl around my legs like a shark circling me or something.
We can be pretty lazy though, we've got the hose attachment, so often we just hose him down.
Hey, there's an idea Shell - do you have a hose attachment? When we were little, mum had one that attached to the tap - perhaps that's less threatening, since you can put it on low pressure, take it away any time she freaks, and (if you're super game) she can hold it herself?

Love hearing all the valentine's stories! Rans and I went to the shopping centre for a snack and some quality time. First outing since being sick, man am I sore and tired now! I'm such an old lady.

Got some washable textas for River - he's not into drawing cos he doesn't press hard enough with the pencils, so can't really see what he's doing. He also tries to eat the pencils So we will try with the textas and see how that goes. I'd like for him to be into drawing for when the new baby comes, so he can sit at his high chair and draw if I'm held up with the new bub.

Yay on the you time Caddie! Fantastic.

No good on the sick bubbas around here! Hope Rylee isn't too sick Laurin, and you watch yourself too - if you're all run down from unpacking, perhaps take a day off to rest up - your house will wait, but if you get sick it will set you back much longer! Trust me.

Speaking of sick, my throat's a bit sore, might head to bed, been a big day by boring-Nelle standards!

Do they get 4 or 8 molars?
8 thy generally get the front 2 bottom then top, then get the ones either side so (8) then the 1st molars (4) then the eye in between molars and front teeth (4) then 2 year molars (4)

now ducking to avoid objects being thrown we have been lucky and seriously had no troubke with teething Jack will be a bit clingy and may wake during the night for a few days and then we have a new tooth

I haven't tried a shower with her yet, been to scared to cause I don't know how she'll react!

gosh 95% of Jacks washes are showers most morning we have a shower together and most evening Jase has one with him, that being said the last few days he has had baths again

well I think AF is coming temp dropped big time this morning and TMI pooping a lot, mind you again TMI cevix is so high i can;t find it

Glad everyone had nice Valentines days!

Shell.. is your bath big enough to get in with her? Or maybe do you have a paddle pool or something for her that you can get involved and wet too to show her that its ok and wont hurt her? You could give her a go in the shower but yeh id be very kinda gentle with it, start the shower and let her stick her hand under it before you make the next step of going in, make a game out of it maybe? Like do the hokey pokey? Just so she thinks its a fun thing. Hope you can work something out soon, yeh, before she gets too scared of water.

    Annie.. haha how nice!

Nelle.. i bought jesse some crayons and they seem to work well.. just from the reject shop for $2 but theyre thick so they wont break easy.

Belle.. hope you both get better soon. Um, what type of cold does she have? Panadol can usually dry up a runny nose for a bit, but if she's croaky you can get some Demazin infant drops to help clear the phlem. If you can i guess just keep her fluids up and give lots of cuddles and kisses

    Nessa.. glad its not PE.

DH bought me a huge box of Roses chocolates, a pack of cadbury eclares, a card and some custard tarts yummmmo! We just had pizza for dinner, really didnt wanna cook.

Jesse has 15 teeth, 16th is just about through too.. then just waiting on his 2 year old molars and he's done until they start falling out! .. so yeh he has 4 molars and the 2 year old ones which come at the very back are 1 on each gum = 4 (total8 molars)

Yesterday my gf and i picked up Jesse's new tallboy from fantastic furnature. So his room is almost done! I think im just going to move him in the new room straight into the new bed. Will hold off for a month or so, maybe come April. Im not due until the end of July. Theres no real rush, then hopefully he'll understand it a bit more. Also just waiting to see if bubs is a boy or girl (find out 2 weeks today!) as to whether i leave alot of Jesse's sesame street stuff in his room or do it up a bit pink! Cant wait to find out!

Shell- i think our DD must be copying each other. Annika wont have a bar of the bath atm and she used to love it. She does shower with me everyday though. Thinks its great but is startingto want to get out quicker and quicker. I think she figures that she is missing out on something special by being stuck in there.
She is also very very clingy atm, wants to sit on my lap all day long. I have to see everythign she is doing. or she will point and ahhh ahhh and squeal for ages.

Maz has posted in the cloth thread and Mat seems to be doing really well. I am she will pop in soon.

belle/shell- how are things with you and DH

Kell- im glad to, yay on jesses room!!!

Well i still have this stupid headache though. driving me insane. Better go eat some breaky.

shell - definitely try the shower with her. Before putting her head under, count to 3 first, and like and kel said, make a game out of it. Then she'll think it's fun. And if she's sees that you're ok with getting wet, she might be too. And have some toys in the shower for her as well. Nina always has a shower with me in the mornings and loves it.

belle - thanks so much for the chat yesterday. It really cheered me up. Last night was a lot better than yesterday.
I give Nina dimetapp for her cold. I try the natural rememdies first, but if it persists then I give the dimetapp a go.
Hope you start feeling better soon.

nelle - Nina has crayons, paints and chalk. She loves drawing and painting. It will keep her entertained for ages.

kel - That's great that Jesse's room is almost ready. Just wait for the signs until he is ready for the big bed. That's what I did with Nina and it was a really smooth transition.

I've got to run and get ready as mum is coming over to pick me up for a day of shopping. I hope she's paying!!!
