    Morning everyone
great news - dh's grandma pulled through. Was sitting up eating her breakfast the next morning. She's disappointed that she didn't die though. I guess at 95 she's just had enough.
Cally - i think i've found a quicker way to cook the brown rice cereal - takes 6 minutes instead of 30!!! I don't think rice cereal is something you can keep - not sure on that one though. Another thing to use for sitting up time is a blow up pool ring. I tried Hannah in ours and it worked well .
leanne - you poor thing. Can you catch up today at all, or are you like me and can't sleep during the day?
arte - i love border collies!!! I have one called Chloe.
noni - great news that the solids stayed down. Congrats on dp's job.
i'm feeling like a really cranky old witch at the moment. I know all about making the most of every moment, and that our children only remain young for a short time, - but i just cannot seem to remain patient at the moment. I really feel for Jess and Zoe - i just don't seem to have as much time to spend with them just doing fun things - i'm caught up in keeping everything tidy. I think it's because if i don't my life will be too disorganised - and being organised at the moment is the key to keeping on top of everything. I don't think i'm making much sense am i? Perhaps if i could have a good nights sleep i might be able to function a little better. Sherie - any little tips for me? I need to be a fun mum again.
    sorry for my little rant.
off to clean the high chair with the girls -(might splash them with water for a little fun lol)

Jazmum - Wow grandma has lived a good life, making it to 95! The poor thing though, sounds like she is a bit over it now.

Noni - Thats great that your DP has found a good job!

Leanne - Oh I feel for you, I had a few nights bad sleep last week and its horrible. The stupid thing is you wind yourself up about it, 'omg I didnt sleep last night, tonight is going to be the same' etc etc and then of course you dont get any sleep. Its ridiculous!! Try reading before you turn out the light.

Marydean - Oh noo I'm scared haha. So I can expect Maddie to start waking during the night soon I guess, oh well I did have a feeling that this sleeping through wouldnt last lol.

Poor little Madeline has picked up a cold from I suspect another bub from mums group who had the same thing. She was up a couple of times last night as her nose was driving her nuts, I thought I was dreaming when I heard crying as she sleeps straight through (touch wood!!) I did have a feeling though that she'd be up a bit, as she wasnt a happy chappy when I put her to bed. What can you do for them when they have a runny nose?? I used the fess sucky thing but its horrible.

Hope everyone else is going ok, sorry for no personals but I have forgotten what everyone wrote!

LP hope you guys are all ok!

RORY's bottom left tooth has broken through whoohoooo! I didnt even know, it was the rosie cheeks that gave it away!

Hayley - I hope Maddie gets better soon xoxox Baby Balsam works wonders Give her a big cuddle from all of us!

JaZmum - My grandma was like that at the end too, just wanted to be with her husband in heaven. Although Im glad for your sake she is feeling better. Is she close to you? Will you be able to spend some more time with her??

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Dwayne has been away in Adelaide since Wednesday and im getting lonely now Will be back Monday though.

Jazmum - Do you know where you can buy those humidifier thingos? I guess we will be needing one anyone, especially seeing as Maddie is in daycare and winter is coming up.

Renee - Wow go Rory!! Has he been upset about it, or just the rosy cheeks? How exciting!! Do you get scared being home alone? I freak out lol. What is Dwayne doing in Adelaide?

    Hello lovely ladies!

Hi Noni, gosh you're making me think now re mod of the year. I *think* it was Dachlostar (Chloe) from memory. How bad is that LOL! I can't even remember.

Jaz, we're sharing identical lives ATM I think. I'm the same with not doing alot of the fun stuff with the kids lately as if I have more than one day out a week or something like that it's really hard to get back on top of everything. Its getting easier now that Lindsay and Erin are at school, but I still think 'oh, can't do that, I have washing/cleaning etc to do'. I think I am just gong to have to say bugger the washing and do more with the kids. not that they are complaining, but ykwim. I had a thought about Hannah too, have you tried bowen therapy? The chiro is good, but if she has a few tight muscles she would benefit more from using both chiro and bowen And thats such good news about your Grandma, but I can understand how she felt about it. MIL's aunt died just before Christmas and she was the same, just wanted it to be all over.

Renee & Gracie, WOW!!!!! about the toothie pegs. It puts so much into perspective when we have the benefit of hindsight once the tooth comes through. I reckon I would keel over from shock if Alister got one before 8mths. And Renee, don't feel bad about Rory's arm - he isn't going to remember it and it wasn't your fault hun.

Gosh, I read all the last thread but I haven't a clue what was said now.

Leanne & Cally, hopefully you can both start getting more sleep soon.

Marydean, I am so not looking forward to my girls getting all hormonal on me - Erin especially. DH joked that when that happens he is building us a menstrual shed up in our hill LMAO (he heard of a menstrual shed on this movie Ruby Ridge - a redneck in the US lived on this place Ruby Ridge and had some funny ideas about religion, was racist and was eventually gunned down along with his son in a stand off with the FBI and ATF. he built a menstrual shed for his wife and DD to live in while they had AF as they wree unclean during that time incase you have no idea what I'm taling about LOL)

Not much happening here. Kids are at the IL's with DH so its just Alister and I and he's in bed sleeping. I should be folding and ironing clothes, but I thought I would just pop on while I had no distractions. Alister has been quite hard to please lately and I'm thinking that he's just at that stage where he is frustrated with not being fully mobile. Erin was the same and she didn't settle until she started crawling. I have another busy week ahead too incase you don't see me - birthday party for Erin's friend after school, The Wiggles on Tuesday, MCHN on Wed and then out on friday for preschool.

    happy sunday ladies

renee- yah rory has a tooth as well! lewis' is bottom right. have you been giving rory anything to help with the pain? i was thinking of going up to the chemist later and getting some nurofen and bonjela or something. what are you going to do? i hate it when dp goes away for the weekend. do you get scared at night? i do.

hayley- awww poor little mads. lewis has the biggest boogas sometimes! i can't believe such a little man can produce such big snot!!

jaz- i'm sure you're still a fun mum! i have to take my hat off to you, i really don't know how you're doing it, and keeping your house clean! i only have one kid and 70% of the time my house looks like someone's had a party here! congrats on dh's grandma btw

noni- glad dp got a job. yah!!

leanne- maybe you need to have a big glass of red wine or a nice bailey's or something at 9.30 every night. seems to work for me

hi sherie - posting at the same time! i don't like the sound of that menstrual shed, but sometimes when i get af i wouldn't mind being locked away and not having to deal with any people. sometimes i feel like slapping total strangers across the face when i've got her! loL. i know what you mean about Alister being frustrated about not being mobile enough, i honestly think lewis has the same problem. he gets so frustrated when i try to just sit on the couch with him, he loves it when dp takes him out to the garage and he can watch the trees, dog, cars etc. he's such a boy!!!

Gracie - Oh how exciting, our boys are teething at the same time lol! I am going to get some bonjela today. He seems to be dealing with the pain really well....so far haha. But its only just broken through a tiny tiny bit so it could go down hill from here He got a bit grumpy when we were out at dinner last night so Dwayne's grandad took him for a walk around the front of the casino in his pram (he LOVES the lights) so I could have my sweets haha!
How is Lewis going with the pain?? I saw you met up with some of the girls from BB. Im VERY jelous!

Sherie - I should be washing & ironing too! Is nice having some you and Alister time? Are you going to a Wiggles Concert? Whaaa I bet the kids would LOVE That! Are they excited?

Hayley - How is Maddie going with teething?? Did any come through in the end? Dwayne is at the car races In Adelaide with his brother & dad. They DROVE there, I couldnt think of anything worse! Im doing better than I thought I would by myself, its just the nights that freak me out. I get my cats Milton & Archi to sleep on Dwayne's side with me haha.

I think im going to get out of the house today. Might go to the Marina for a cake & a coffee with bugga luggs! Hope everyone is having a great lazy sunday.

Renee - that sounds like a nice afternoon
sherie - you've made me feel better. Maybe we can make sure we do something fun each day - even if it means dancing around the kitchen like a silly woman
hayley - i got my humidifier from the local pharmacy - it's a Vicks warm steam vaporiser.
gracie - thanks sometimes i think i'm expecting too much of myself.
dh is home from a fishing trip - he's been away since Thursday, so i might get some time to myself this afternoon.

I hope K is teething because it would give her some excuse for her behaviour last night. Woke at 12:15 and was back asleep at 2:45!! Ridiculous. I was in tears and DH went and finally got her back to sleep. Thankfully she didn't wake again until 7:15, I had a morning nap and DH is having one now.

Jaz and Renee - I don't envy you with DH away, there is no way I would be coping at the moment by myself.

Oh, she's awake, will be back later for personals (hopefully)

Geez Cally, that is a looooong time to be up at night. I hope she wasn't crying, that would be awful.

JaZmum, my great grandmother is 95, she is almost deaf, is blind in one eye and the other is blurry. I was visiting her the other day and she calmy said she hopes she dies before she goes completely blind.

Gracie and Renee, yay for teethies.

MD, I was thinking you would be proud when I went to the kids storytime at the local library the other morning lol. What age do you start baby sign?

Sherie, you hit the 10,000 post count while I was offline but here is a belated CONGRATULATIONS

Don't think there is anything planned for our anniversary tomorrow. DH has been in our new town all week and I am at mums (2.5 hours away). He came back for the weekend but we had tiffs all weekend capped off with a massive fight this morning. Think it is patched up but the same stuff keeps coming up, - nothing major, just petty things that keep repeating.

Wills tummy is all better and he is back to his normal happy self. It must have been the fish and chips. I was hoping he wouldn't be so sensitive to what I ate as he got older but it isn't happening.

Sherie & Gracie - LOL @ Menstrual shed! Though I reckon I could do with one of those from time to time, it would need to be airconditioned, have a huge couch (for napping on) and a cupboard full of chocoate and red wine. I wouldn't need to come out for days.

Cally I start to hallucinate after the first hour and half of night shennanigans. Lucky when DH is here we tag team (one of us pats/rocks while the other one dozes) but it is truly nightmarish when I'm alone. Lucky I have my recliner which is still my most favorite thing in the house! Makes it a lot comfier.

Alister has been quite hard to please lately and I'm thinking that he's just at that stage where he is frustrated with not being fully mobile. Erin was the same and she didn't settle until she started crawling.
We are having exactly the same thing here, it's driving me nuts! It's worse the more determined I am to get things done at home (tried sorting out my paperwork the other day, it took me two days!). *sigh* Funny I don't remember this stage at all with DD1. I think she was more mobile (wriggling) earlier but E just lies there flapping her arms and squawking. Pinky even writes about it:

There is, for instance, a significant fussy stage - commonly called 'the five-month blues', although it can happen earlier or later and often coincides with teething and separation anxiety, at which time babies are becoming increasingly aware of the world around them: they want what they can see but they can't reach the object of their desire, so they cry! And they will cry louder and longer if they aren't mobile. I read this and thought OMG that's my life right now!

Arte, I'm not surprised you guys are fighting - not a reflection on you, but on the huge (ongoing) stress of making such a big move! Hope you have a happy anniversary together - the first of many back home and happy together!

Renee, Perth is even further from Adel than Canberra is and driving that is not my idea of fun! Hope they all enjoyed the thrills and spills and you'll have him home again soon.

We had a lovely outing to this foresty walk thing near the lake with a halfway cafe stop and then the return walk. Feel like a frumpy old lady though, my poor hips are still pretty weak and sore, I'm pooped after half an hour (at a leisurely pace). I keep telling myself baby steps and soon my body will be strong again. It was a bit exciting though, we came across a black snake on the path! We watched the snake bite episode of Dr Martin last night and I'm pretty sure I dreamed about snakes as well so it was a bit weird seeing one today too!

Gotta gloat too about my ebay loot today, got a FP play mat that converts to a crawling tunnel for $7.50! DH will pick it up later in the week.

WOW Marydean, it's like Pinky was writing that just for Alister! The crying louder and longer until he gets what he wants is certainly the case here. The FP play tunnel you got, is that like an underwater one with a blow up beach ball type thing and an octopus that plays music? If it is, Paige got one of those for her first Christmas from Mum and she loved it. They certainly got the best out of it though because I threw it out the other day as it was worn out. $7 is a great bargain!

Renee, yep, sure is a Wiggles Concert. I'm only taking Paige and Alister as the other two have been to one before (I took them when I was 37wks pg with Paige) and they are a bit 'old' for wiggles now LOL. And she sure is excited. Lucky you being able to have coffee down at the marina. I love having time with just Alister and I, I'm really looking forward to Paige being at school for that reason because he'll be home for 3yrs before he starts and I'll have him all to myself.

Jaz, I'm told not to sing or dance by the kids. I knew I was bad but I didn't think I was that bad LMAO so I will have to leave my silly woman dancing to when I'm by myself and do something else with the kids LOL. Yesterday afternoon though I did sit with the kids and we built lego things for a few hrs. Lindsay got a heap of it for his birthday and we were putting it all together.

Gracie, Alister loves being outside too. I think he'll be an outdoors kid like the older ones too. he is still amused by the dog and thinks she's hillarious and cracks up when he sees her.

Arte, hugs for you hun. I agree with Marydean about the tiffs. Soon you'll be settled and get yourself back to normal living and things will be fine. My hat goes off to you for being able to move o/s and still have your sanity.

Cally hun, how was your night last night? I wish I could help you out for a day so you can catch up your sleep.

Hayley, are you working this week?

    Hello to everyone else!!!

My birthday last Sat. I received my first bday card from W, of course its DH who put it on the cot next to W lol. The three of us had 'romantic' dinner (that is if you consider dining with a 5mo romantic LOL). Yest was good, went for lunch with some friends.

Jazmum, thanks. You have a new photo too, aaww Hannah is so beautiful. I love the theme, pink and roses
Glad to hear about your grandma, hope she is okay with that
Would you mind sharing the tips on the rice cereal, I have med grain brown rice but still take ages to cook. How is Hannah btw?
Hugs, I think you're doing such a wonderful job with three kids, I only have one and I already think my life is so chaotic lol

Sherie, was just wondering where you've been just before I login. Glad to hear from you. LOL at menstrual shed.

Katie, thanks. DH just bought a camera and I kinda forced him to take W photos LOL. Sounds like you have a nice weekend, happy anniversary

Arte, happy anniversary too, hope things are good again today. Just kidding earlier, I love dogs esp big ones. DH parents have 5 in their home. I ate mushroom the other day and he woke several times during the night.

Noni, congrats on dp's job. Glad to hear the solid went well. ETA sorry about missing mums group

Cally, same here with the hair, I always find my hair in his hands. Really hope K and you have a good sleep tonight.

MD, good luck with the study. Thanks for sharing, OMG on what pinky wrote, that is so true!

Leanne, hugs hope you can get some rest today

Renee, yay on the tooth! W first is the bottom right, the bottom left appeared soon after that.

Hayley, how is Maddie? Poor li'l baby, hope she feels better

The little guy is still enjoying babbling, but lately he wants to be entertained all the time. Anyway just found out that the combination of babbling, screaming, and crying is not that fun hahaha. Took me ages to finish this post.
Okay he is doing it right now, gotta go
