Oh, don't get me started on floor crud - you would not believe the stuff that I find in his nappies sometimes LOL.

OK, here's the rundown LOL. Paige and I got sick Tuesday night - I felt like I had a washing machine agitator in my stomach and Paige was complaining that her tummy was sore, but I thought nothing of it. Amidst the usual wakeups from Alister, Paige comes in to inform me she vomited in her bed - lovely So I camped her on the lounge then got Alister out of bed who was now wide awake and went and sat on the recliner with him. Then Paige threw up on the lounge and basically anything within 2ft of her. So the night continued like that - I had about 2hrs sleep and still felt like ****e. Then Erin came down with it over Wednesday night. So she was home yesterday and she also had the runs because she already had a cold so her immune system was already battered. To cap it off, when I picked Lindsay up off the bus yesterday, he was asleep and I had to wake him up, and he looked wretched, so I asked him if he was OK and he said his tummy was sore *alarms bells start ringing at this point* and on the short 700mt trip home he threw up in the car - thank god for leather upholstery is all I can say - much easier to clean than the old car. But he is fine now. I have them all home today as I want them to just rest and try to get their immune system sorted before sending them back to school. Paige could have gone to Preschool today as she is well, but I couldn't risk it.

So to you ladies with Dyson's, or coveting one You can keep them - until they make one that does what my vax can I am never parting with it LMAO.

Oh, and I went to the Dr yesterday too (luckily DH was off shift and could look after the other three) and he prescribed some tablets to deal with the pain and the heavyiness (basically stops clots from forming, therefore making sure that it is all evacutated during AF and can't build up in the uterus, perpetuating the cycle) and I trial this for 2mths, have a u/s to see what is going on and depending on what the scan finds I will need lap surgery again.

Oh, and a possible development on the waking front - started to have another ordinary night on Wednesday, but at 3am I decided to wrap him - tried everything else with no success and what do you know - he slept till 6.45. So I wrapped him from the start last night and NOT ONE SINGLE PEEP OUT OF HIM ALL NIGHT!!!! I even checked on him to make sure he was OK LOL. God I hope I am onto somthing here. He hasn't been wrapped since he was only a few weeks old, so it didn't occur to me to try it now as the others all hated being wrapped - but even this morning when I put him to bed, I wrapped him, put him in his cot and he nodded off without so much as a single whinge.

Sorry for the mammoth post and lack of personals - will catch up later on

Wow Sherie that sounds like pretty-full on medicine, hope it does the trick, and you're spared the lap surgery. Sounds like it's been awful at your house this week - hope everyone's feeling much better soon!! Wow about wrapping A - sounds like you have discovered a secret trick...let us know if it keeps working or not.

Arte - that's sooo cool about Mt Doom. Does it look sinister when you look out your window? *Sigh* I'm sooo in love with New Zealand, we really should just hop over there for a visit!! How is your BB feeling, better i hope? Mine was pretty bad last night (I was starting to feel quite ill) but the massaging and ABs have done the trick and it's better this morning.

Cally - enjoy your baby free time. I find I stand there at the shop and I'm always putting my hand out to grab the pram next to me...even when it's not there LOL. Bit like when you're not holding the baby but you still sway like you are ! I cannot tell you how rejeuved I feel just from going to the cinema by myself for a couple of hours. Does a world of good. Glad K was ok after her fall, DH will learn to cope as they get happen more often!

Lacey - Fantastic idea about the country and western theme - I want one!!! E would love it too because I was holding up some scarves at the op shop the other day, so she could pick one to play with at home, and she chose this (*bleurgh*) hideous red and blue country one with saddles and ropes all over it PMSL! Will L be wearing a little cowboy suit? Awww how cute would that be!!

Noni I like your idea of the butterfly cake! A park picnic sounds lovely. I did a garden party themed Bday for DD when she turned 4. I did a big round cake as the middle of the flower and little cakes all around it as the petals, and then I used the large smarties to make a caterpillar in the shape of a 4 in the middle (black icing legs LOL). We also had the MD special, where you ice arrowroot biscuits, and then using lollies and icing tubes, you make pictures on them - like spiders, ladybirds, little flowers, etc. They always look excellent and the kids loooove them.

Haley, I'm sooo glad for you that the cheese thing went ok with Maddie, I know how worried you were after the first time. I'm going to try E on some cheese this weekend, just a little pile of grated cheese so she can finger-food-it.

Wondering how Jazmum is, haven't heard from her for a couple of days... has Pregpan left on her trip yet?

Our friends who were coming up for the weekend have rung to say they *might* be having the start of gastro at their house. So if they come it'll be a day later so they have time to make sure no one is ill. Which is good as it gives me more time to work on getting the spare room sorted out! It's firecracker weekend here, so we're thinking of having a little brazier bonfire with marshmallows for the kiddies and mulled wine for the grownups...mmmmm!

Ahh crackers - so it's going to be noisy down here too!!

Sherie - oh, your house has been sick, you poor things. Hope they're back to themselves to enjoy the long weekend! Fingers crossed the wrapping continues to work.

MD - I swing my handbag a lot when I'm not out with K to make up for not having a pram to rock.

    Hi Girls!!

Wow Sherie: what a week for you guys! glad the bug is passing fairly quickly and yep, my dyson would not be able to cope with that one!
bummer about the AF issues. i hope the u/s shows up normal. another lap can be a daunting proposition. i have never had one, managed to avoid it so far...yes, i cancelled my last one a couple of years ago! i am a big wuss!

MD: IKWYM about shopping without bub...i was grocery shopping the other day and began rocking the trolley back and forwards...how embarrassing!
oohhh i am missing firecracker night! egad. it has already been a year since the last one...how time flies.

Cally: i hope K is ok after her fall. if it's any consolation to DH, when we had our baby first aid, the lady told us that babies falling over and hitting their heads is normal and nothing to really worry about. she told us it happens all the time and rarely is an issue...i guess it's more of a concern if they knock themselves out or fall from a height.
IKWYM about shopping without the need to rush! i went for a quick trip today from the dentist to check out the sales...was about to spend a fortune on things for L, but then thought, no, it's about time i buy something for myself. i think it's almost been a year since i bought something unrelated to baby stuff (ie no maternity bras or breastfeeding tops!).

hayley: we are also off to SATC this weekend! DH is at home with L while we go and hit the town! LOL!! cant wait!

best be off as i have to pick up leila soon and i need to do some work before the guilt sets in!

MD, can't see Mt Doom from the window, there is another volcano blocking it but I can see it from playcenter. It doesn't look very doomish, they had to CG it to make it look scary. My BB is much better now, hope yours gets better soon too. You are welcome to stay here if you manage to get over here - perhaps a guilt holiday when DH gets home from the big trip?

    Jazah, how is Chloe?

Well, HPT was negative, so I guess it must be AF getting ready to come.

    Hi Ladies,
Sorry to crash your thread but I just wanted to confess to being a closet reader of your posts!!

DD1 was born on 27 September 2007 and I do tend to pop onto this thread every now and then to read about all of your little ones and compare experiences. I feel like such a lurker so I just wanted to say thankyou for your honest and open chatting/advice/suggestions because it is often a help and comfort to me as well. I missed out on the mothers group for babies the same age as DD and baby books don't always seem to mirror real life.

    You girls are the best!

MD, one of my worst childhood memories is the time my mum cleaned my bedroom with a rubbish bag! She gave me a few weeks of warning to clean it up and then went in and chucked out everything that was on the floor. I remember darting in front of her to save my precious things LOL

Lil Rachee, welcome, jump in whenever you want. How is life with your DD?

Sherie, hope everyone is feeling better. My dog puked all over the carpet and I think I might have a touch of Vax envy now.

Renee, did you see the SATC movie yet?

I had my first real baby free time today. I went for a horse trek. It was bl00dy freezing with icey wind and rain, but at least I did something by myself. Poor W seems to be confused though - he spent the afternoon playing with DH instead of the evening, so when I put him to bed for a nap he must have thought it was night time LOL. I got him up when he woke but he cried so I put him back to bed. I am not looking forward to him waking a few hours early tomorrow though.

    Hi Girls!

just a quick one from me as DH finishes preparing dinner (oh he's well trained!!).

Gracie: well i hit the myer stocktake sale and found the 'metalicus' section...i love clothes that dont have sizes LOL! and bought this gorgeous wool wrap cardigan. it looks awesome! (even if i say so myself!).

Rachee: HELLLOO and welcome! he he he i think we are all guilty of stalking from time to time! i too am in a mums group with bubs that are wayyy younger than leila. so this place is awesome to 'bond' over the trials and tribulations of bubs the same age! lol!

Arte: soooo incredibly jealous of your horse ride!! even in the ice and wind! i miss riding so much.

Noni: congrats on the ergo. its awesome huh?! i love the colour you have. mine is black and green and is not as cool! i have been selling the idea of them at my mums group too as their bubs are getting too uncomfy in the bjorn.

ok better skeddadle! hope everyone is awesome!
