I don't know how to say this but here goes ... Perhaps it would be worth keeping an eye on her emotional states than the religion etc she's researching? You sound like a really cool mum, that I wish I had. But what about the b/f's emotional states?

Also maybe find out why the b/f chose a swastika for his icon - does he understand the christian background behind it?
