When I was pg with DS1 I was convinced he was a girl. I also couldn't picture myself with a son (ironic.. no?) and struggled with boys names. I was only 9 weeks though when it hit me like a bolt of lightning. I said to DP " I know it's a bit out there.. but what about A x e l?" his response was " Ya know. .. I don't hate it." lol. When I woke up in ICU someone asked me his name. I couldn't speak as I was intubated but I wrote it down. Nobody argued. Ever seen someone argue with the lady who woke from a coma? I didn't think so...He got his middle name from my drug induced delirium. I swear DPs mother (who is sadly not with us) put her hand on my shoulder and told me to use her brothers name - Timothy
With DS2 I struggled with any names at all. I only had 2 I liked, one of each. As soon as I was able to see him.... I just blurted out K a n e. It was just right. He's named after both our brothers by middle name.![]()
