Belfie thats great news. Congrats. Thats a Big change in cm also.
Well I think I could be failing miserably. Maybe I should weigh myself to see where I'm up to. I was 83 exact when I weighed myself on Thursday. Yesterday I ate chocolate (more then just a bite) then today I ate more. Overall I'm eating alot less then I was a month ago so you think I would loose weigh doing that alone but no. Anyway I'm trying really hard tonight not to go devour everything in sight. I ate my planned dinner for lunch so now have nothing healthy I feel like. I've got a pile of vegies on but no meat. I'd love to do a low carb high protein diet as its worked well in the past but when BF I think its a stupid idea so thats out of the question. I guess the key is to slowly plod away and eventually if I keep working at it I'll get there.
Oh and I found the best motivation. Go into the clothes shops look around at all the tini tiny clothes I want to wear, thn do my food shopping (to ensure I don't buy garbage) then when I'm feeling depressed about all that tasty food I didn't buy walk back into those clothes shops and look around at what I'm going to be wearing soon lol and then go home.
Mr S - I hope you are feeling better? It bites when illness gets in the way of fitness and weight loss huh?
Belfie - well done on surpassing the half way mark to your goal!!! Not much to go at all now for you . I agree on the scales tricking us lol. I weigh daily and make sure I empty the bladder really well before hopping on the scales. I have even noticed losses of 300 grams just after having a shower. Dunno where that comes from but I'll take it lol!
Mildez - have u tried tracking your calorie intake him? Sorry if I've missed it if you have already mentioned it earlier in the thread. I am finding each exercise session tough as I'm trying to re gain my fitness; thus my motivation are my size 8 jeans - and I agree, it works!
AFM - down to 67.5 kg's which considering that I have started doing RPM and Body Pump again I'm happy as I'm probably increasing muscle mass (confirmed by a further reduction in my waist measurement ). Sorry if I seem overly analytical when it comes to weight loss guys, probably the trainer in me. I do include the emotional part within my blog .
Thats fantastic Mr S that you are well and truely over half way in your weight loss journey.
Leesa no I haven't been tracking calories. I've started a few times but get busy and don't bother. I've been counting points so I know I am not eating to much. I did pig out on chocolate and did a mid week weighin and was stoked I'd still lost weight. I'm done to 82.1. My goal but DH b'day was to be under 80kilos so hopefully I will be by then. My BMI is down to 26.6 now. I'm still not down a dress size but.
You guys are doing fantastic!! Keep up all the good work!
I'm affraid I fell off the wagon there for a bit. Lost 1kg neat for the week, which is better than nothing, but I know I could have done better! Back into the swing of things again tomorrow. Start of by taking the dog for a walk.
tellytubby 1kilo is good. I use to loose alot per week when I was dedicated. Most been 7 in a week on the atkins diet but I'm not so silly now to do that. When I am use to seeing the scales drop so quickly its quite boring to see them drop by 0.1, 0.3 etc of a kilo. But I know I'm doing it the right way now especially for a BF mummy and my DD is only 7weeks old so only a little one.
Well I ate a huge dinner. I had butter chicken so probably super fattening. I did have yucky brown rice and vegies instead when I usually have a plate of white rice with it. I'm really feeling quite fat especially the tyre around the middle that sits on my legs. Well almost.
Leesa don't worry about been over analytical when it comes to weight loss . I don't know how you do it. Your bub is even younger then mine.
Mildez drool at butter chicken! that used to be my fav meal EVER! with naughty pizza a very close second
Well today is the day for me! I am getting my food diary out (which I've attempted to start about 5 times)
I am also going to spend a bit of time doing up thingo in photo shop with inspiring images to put on my computer desktop as I spend so much time on here! I will also include a list of reasons why I'm loosing weight to keep me going.
Then I'm doing up a plan of attack as in what I need to do/change to see results.
I always have the support of my dh 100% so with all of that hopefully I will be able to post about a loss next Monday
Cherished I'm glad I'm not the only one that drools over buttered chicken. Its on my top yummy food lists also. How are you going so far? I only ask as if I go to start a health change I have either been good and keep going or else I've given up by lunch time. I tried twice this time to stick to a healthier eating habits but fell of the wagon until one night I woke up at about 2am and said today was the day and I've been going ok ever since. I've had a few set backs (just a meal or gorged on chocolate or something) but have jumped straight back on the wagon straight away. I've lost 4.6kilos in about 3weeks. Usually the first week I can loose that much but I'm been very careful as I'm BF and don't want to jeopadise my supply. Great idea with the reasons why you want to loose weight. I should do that. My no1 reason it actually quite shameful lol Thats great that your DH is supportive. Mine is not. He expects me to be thin (not even a healthy weight) but will expect me to eat hot chips, hamburgers, take away etc He does not try and reduce temptation what so ever which is hard. He even had the turds with me for cooking myself brown rice lastnight and white rice for everyone else. It would be so much easier if he was helpful. Such a shame he is so skinny (his butt check seriously wouldn't fill up the palm of my hand) Gee I wish him trouble with his weight sometimes!
I've just eaten a ham toastie not that healthy and devoured some yogurt and fruit. I'm not even hungry but for some reason there is just something with eating. Need to go make some ww soup so I can eat and eat without gaining weight. I also spent about 2hrs scrubbing the dirt and stuff off the windows and then cleaned the ensuite. I scrubbed and scrubbed the grout trying to get the yucky stuff out. I wonder if that counts as a workout?
Was hoping to join you all on the weight loss journey! I have 25kgs to lose and hoping that having other people to talk to would help me on my way! I had a quick read thru some of the posts in here and everyone is doing so well! Congratulations
Welcome back Mitch and welcome Dale. I'm finding it helps me keep on track when I hear about others struggles and how they get back on the wagon as I tend to fall off as much as I get back on. Oh and Dale I think your a female.
Thank you Mr Squidipa and Mildez! Had a great weigh in this morning 1.5kg gone! It is my first week though, so experience tells me that I won't get this every week unfortunately....I too have experience that wagon a few times!!
You are right Mildez! I am female.....I have two sisters with names that could be male and female as well.....I think that made it easier for my parents! We would of had these names even if we had been male!
Woohoo, 500g down! Not sure how, but I'm losing weight! I'm not doing alot to make it happen, maybe just not eating so much junk and not eating after dinner...I am aiming to strt walking too, 45mins to an hour or so every second day at least.
Congrats to everyone who's had losses and welcome to the newbies!!
