I remember having the same feeling of hope against hope, we were lucky in a sense because our hopes were dashed fairly early in the process as DH original sample was 0 and then we discovered that things weren't as they should be so we didn't get as far as the invasive testing stage, (I was the one who got all the poking and prodding).
It is still a shock and a real kick in the tummy to know that there is nothing there and I feel for you sending you both a huge hug,:hugs:
