Leanne, PCOS certainly does suck!
There is no magic pill to fix it, but are you on metformin? It does help reduce insulin resistance and makes it easier to lose weight.
For me, regular exercise can be a bit tricky as on top of the bloody PCOS and IR (I also have the fatty liver, but nobody has confirmed that it's related to the PCOS for me) I have a weird arthritis condition which can flare up and make movement painful. However, I have found that sticking to a quite strict low carb, low GI, high protein (and sometimes seriously no fun) diet really does do wonders, and I have managed to lose weight following the diet and doing no exercise other than my normal running around like a mad woman at work. If you would like to PM me your email address I can send you the information/instruction sheet my FS gave me for said diet.

you poor thing. I have recently found out that I have PCOS and am yet to have it all explained to me as I cannot get in to see a Gyno before the end of July as they are fully booked
