I had constantly to be more like my sister. I was also super-bright as a child. I really was a fantastic child - I would love to have a child just like I was! I would never bag her out for wanting to learn rather than play with my friends' children. They are my friends, not yours - if you don't get on then well, you don't. I'd also keep the piano. I hated not having a piano as a child! I learnt to play on my parents friends' pianos (I should have been playing with their children, not their pianos, but tough!) I don't think it's narc. to say so, so long as you're not deluding yourself, only talking about that or saying "I was gifted so am the best person on this forum."

Ooooh, I really do dislike my mother whenever I think about her!
