I was thinking about what you said Shaz about not doing resistance training because you bulk up too quickly, but I really think it's important to assist in weight loss. The more lean muscle mass you have the higher your metabolic rate so you're burning more KJs even when you're sleeping!
There are 3 main ways to program for resistance training - Muscle strength, Muscle endurance and Hypertrophy (muscle growth) - if you train for muscular endurance you will get some growth but not a lot.
