hehe...
Ash, I probably wouldn't be waking him(thats my Opinion you may choose to ignore if you wish). Babies grow when they sleep.
I'm soooo hot and bothered... I hate too much for lunchLMAO!
Nuh-ahh Sally I do too!!!
Just not so much at the moment!
I just had visitors come over to see Alexander. I even had an expressed feed ready to go and all, which was good because i got to see if he'd take to the bottle and how much he's feeding. I don't know how much he should be feeding so it was interesting to find out.
He's an angel during the day but I'm struggling with the cluster feeds around five am - i know he'll fix himself eventually but i wish they were at five in the afternoon. I'm trying to cut his two long sleeps short to see if i can alter it but so far he won't feed if i wake him early.
So i'm feeling a bit sorry for Anthony because he's not getting much sleep and refuses to sleep in the other room so he can have a good night. He keeps telling me to stop apologising but i can't help but feel bad!
"Baby Blues" are relatively under control... but i tend to have a melt down when anthony gets home at night!
Suppose i should try start chatting with my baby buddies, but there is so many to keep up with and im not good for personals at the moment...
Hope everyone is well!

Yeah i'm not too keen on it, but it was more of a 'if i do it for a day or two maybe it'll shut my mum up' kind of thing. I know that i should just listen to myself instead but she's had so much trouble with the girls i kind of go hmm maybe ill try it and see i guess.
I might just leave it, i mean its annoying that he sleeps six hours during the day, id much prefer it at night, but it will change eventually.
I loved the sleeping through the day. It meant I got everything done and managed to get a nice hot meal cooked for dinner. It didn't bother me that he wasn't sleeping as well through the night. It would have i think if he was one of those babies that wake every 2 hrs or so. But 6 hrs is great!! And it is still early daysDo you leave a tv or radio on during the day?? I used to leave the tv on the music channel and the idea was to make the difference between night and day. ie day was noisy and light... night time is dark and quiet. I find now that Brendan will sleep under any condition during the day, I can vaccuum right next to his cot and not wake him.
Ash, I forgot to add that YOU and ONLY you know what is best for Alex. You need to do what you think is right for him![]()
It's not that i mind him sleeping so long during the day, it's just the cluster feeds at night. And i think it's more mentally exhausting than physically, because i feel guilty that anthony won't be getting much sleep and he doesnt have the opportunity to nap during the day like me. I should start putting music on during the day. I always make sure i feed in light during the day but i guess that's not really helping distinguish night and day because when he sleeps whilst it's not pitch black it's not exactly a 'lit' room either.
And a LOL for the day - My left boob thinks it's a freaking tap, i swear!
Oh and Sally - Anthony forgot to tell me to come and talk to you last night.
We ended up calling his mum (they had a falling out the night before over Alex's name, the both of us were furious) which took forever and i was trying not to feed Alex before we bathed him, but anyway then i had to feed him, bath him, then he was awake for ages before he finally took some EBM and Ant out him down while i made dinner.
Ahhh thats one reason I dont miss breast feeding! I used to leak pretty bad that I'd go through the breast pads every 2 hrs and 2-3 pairs of bras in a day!!
I used to stress that Nigel wasn't going to get enough sleep, but that only led to more problems... I know it's hard but do try not to stress about it.
Sounds like you are fitting in motherhood quite wellDon't worry about last night... there will be another time, and i had a bit of a chat to Jo so I wasn't completely doing nothing. LOL!
LOL! Alright so it's not just me... haha. this is what i wrote in my baby buddies thread.
And yep onto my second bra for the day! It's getting to the point i think i'm going to have to feed him solely on that side and just express enough off the right to be comfortable. I have been completely soaking through three breastpads during a feed on the right side, and then ill soak through another two (at the least) in between feeds - even if he has fed off the left side. I've gotten to the point where im going to chop up a few maternity pads because the breastpads just aren't doing the job! It's also making him lazy when he's on the left breast because he really doesn't have to suck.
Sally - its all goodeverything happens for a reason but there is still no sign of AF & all the discomfort & cramps have gone..but i get this feeling that im 'wet' all the time & as if AF is there
btw im studying nursing & am in 2nd yr
Ali - thanks for the hugwho knows whats happening with my body & this is the 2nd month my body has been screwed up
but oh well
Nursing sounds goodAre you doing mainstream nursing (just general) or are you focusing on a particular area (eg. with children/babies) i don't know how it works... so just asking. I know that the nurses working in the NICU/SCN have a VERY rewarding career. Have you given it much thought? just wondering is all
Ash, sounds like a plan!! Just make sure you express yourself empty... you dont want to get mastitis!
im only doing general div 1 nursing because i live in the country & am doing the course here & they dont offer to specialise in a particular area so i will finish this course & work for a year & go back & do my midwifery course
I love nursing, its great when your out on placement
ooooo midwifery... thats a great job tooI had lots of great midwifes look after me when i was in hospy
(the hospy that Brendan was born in is the maternity hospy)
Hi everyone! Sorry, dont' have much time to post, just wanted to say HI ASH, congratulations on little Jaylen, he's so cute!!
Hugs to everyone else, hope you are all safe and well. I'm going to go and have a lie down and see if I can get Josie kicking more - I can feel her kicks on the outside now although she still prefers to squirm![]()

Sally Im glad your little holiday was much enjoyedHow hot has it been lately?? Im almost melting!!
Ash Im glad things are going okay for you and that the baby blues have cleared up a bit!! I wouldnt worry about Ant not getting enough sleep, if he really was bothered by it id say he would sleep in the other room.
And i did all that from memory!! *tries to think if there was anything else*
Ohhh yeah!
Emma Its a freaky feeling to feel bubs kick from the outside to start off with. I remember the morning i first felt my bubs kicking from the outside! I was so weirded out but still amazed! Now i just get waves and awkward feeling punches and kicks..they get bigger and better!!
