M2C, I'm really sorry I missed your thread earlier in the day.

Yes, the pessaries will delay AF and it will only come a day or two after you cease using them. However, you must continue to take them until you have the BT results in case you are pregnant and the HPT isn't picking it up. The chance is small, but you'd never forgive yourself if you lost the pregnancy early because your progesterone levels weren't up to scratch. Just get a few more to carry you over until your BT results, or speak to your nurse or FS if you are unsure.

The pessaries wont affect the HPT result. We were in exactly the same position this week and I would work on the basis that you aren't pregnant and anything else is a bonus. I'm sorry if that sounds blunt, but that's the likely scenario. However, there will always be more opportunities for you and DH in future cycles. Today is today, but there are many tomorrows.

Now, moving on to your other statement that you are to blame and so on. It is not your fault one bit - OK you have fertility issues but you didn't choose them. Millions of other women have the exact same set of problems as you, just as millions of people have diabetes, or asthma, or dandruff! I so know what you are talking about because I am the reason that DW and I are doing IVF, but in the end you just need to suck it up and accept that this is your lot and that you can overcome it. We are all unlucky to be doing AC, but we are also very lucky that the technology now exists, and lucky that we are healthy enough to do it.

Your DP sounds ace. He loves you, and has faith in you. So what if it takes you a bit longer to conceive than some other people? You've done it once, and you'll do it again. In the words of Monty Python, "cheer up you miserable bugger".
