Hey Megan. Not too bad. Its been a week now of monitoring for me (6x a day) and my levels have been slightly over a few times but not too drastic. The strange thing is even when my last reading for the day is good (under 6) i am still getting a higher reading the next morning (around 6.5). I went to dietitician/diabetes educator and she told me to have a small, low GI, protein snack just before bed to help with this. But it hasnt changed to morning reading yet.

She was very helpful with some other tips that I didnt know though... ie.... caffeine puts your result up even if its suger free, so wait after tea/coffee/dietcoke before taking blood. Also exercise puts the result up if you do it too soon after cos all the sugar is stirred up in your blood before its gets used up, so do the reading 20 mins after exercise.

So its all early days for now, and it looks like I will be able to control with diet and exercise only, if try hard!

How is everyone else doing?
