Freya - you have been through so, so much. Recurrent m/c is awful. If you need to post anything, no matter how dark or angry your thoughts are, you will always find support here .
Hi DG - how far along are you now? I can totally understand as I feel the same, torn between wanting to be happy and excited and just expecting it to fail like the last 3 have. It's going to be a long 8 weeks for me that's for sure.
Hi Freya - like DG said please, if you need to talk that is what we're here for, we understand as we've been there and we want nothing more than for you to feel safe and loved. xx
Freya, massive hugs honey. I think we had a m/c around the same time The other girls have said it beautifully, we are all here for you. No one should walk this path alone xoxoxox
Congratulations Alison the BFP! Sending loads of sticky vibes your way! xx
Freya - Massive hugs hun.
Well... It appears that i am in the TWW. Not intentionally (but a little bit).
We dtd on CD 12 and CD14. We weren't trying because I'm in the midst of Uni and prac and we are having a few relationship issues. But anyways, lastnight I went to the loo and wiped and saw a few tiny spots of blood (implantation bleed??) so now I am wondering if maybe I am pregnant. Boobies are tingling away tonight. Dont want to jump to conclusions but needed to get it out of my head.
AF is due 25th. I usally always get a positive (if i am pregnant) on about 13DPO so I'll test on Monday or Tuesday as since Reids birth I've been having a 27 day cycle.
I can't remember exactly but I think i might have been 11DPO when I get a positive with Reid.
Yes very tingly boobs. And a huge increase in creamy CM. I dont wanna get my hopes up though. As i said, we werent actively trying but I track my cycle so we both knew I was ovuating when I was and still didnt use protection
Urgh, just to make me feel crap - had my 2nd blood test today, nurse told me it's not looking good because my numbers haven't double in 48 hours, they've gone from 204 to 331 - I got off the phone so upset and googled and everything i read says it's normal to double anywhere from 48-72 hours and mine has definitely done that, plus it says as long as it's gone up 50-60% than it's normal, mine's gone up 62% in 48 hours and the beta site says I'm within normal range for an increase. Does anyone know why the clinic would say 48 hours and that's it, she was so negative today. Now I'm so stressed and have to wait until Monday, I can't go through this again, I just can't!!!!!!
Hunni, nice big breath now...... It's not all doom and gloom! The stupid nurse was probably having a bad day, I don't know why she wasn't more supportive. She shouldn't IMO say it's not looking good. Your numbers are going up and as you've said, they are going up in the normal range. Try and think/stay positive hun as hards as that is to do. Sress is not helping anything. Big hugs lovely
Thanks Miss B - I hate her for doing this to me I really do, all I feel now is doom and gloom - AGAIN! If everything is alright I am going to complain about it because it's totally mean to make someone stress all weekend if it really is ok for numbers not to double necessarily within the 48 hours. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, I hate this!
Oh Alison,I couldn't read this and not post hun, my Ob never went by my numbers doubling every 48 hrs, he always told me as long as they are increasing at a rate of at least 50% every few days then they were happy..... I'm now 9+2 Weeks and haven't had a problem th is time round.... Can not believe that nurse could be so rude especially if she knew your history and knew that what you need is hope and positive words not negative.... Fingers crossed everything is okay...
Thank you HPL - you have helped me to breathe a sigh of relief, regardless of tomorrow's outcome I'm going to put in a complaint tomorrow - I don't think it is necessary to say things like that to people, never mind someone who's been through recurrent miscarriage already - it doesn't alter the outcome and even if the 48 hour rule applied all she needed to say was this is your increase, we'll check it again Monday - I mean, it was the first comparison number after all. Really not happy but hoping for a good result tomorrow. Will let you all know how it goes, wish me luck! xx
Good luck for today Alison! Try not to stress (easier said than done I know) but hCG levels are not an exact science and Ive had not so perfect levels turn into successful pregnancies and beyond perfect levels end in heartbreak. Every woman is different so doubling times and levels vary; even between pregnancies!
Ugh AF reared her ugly head 5 days late. Atleast she didnt come 2 weeks late and ruin our holiday next week; small mercies.
Im struggling lately. Really struggling. The want and need for another baby is taking over me. Not to mention Ive got quite a few IRL friends who are pregnant. One being one of my closest friends; Im being the supportive unselfish friend that I am and slapping a smile on my face while Im dying inside but she just keeps whinging at me about feeling sick and how she wishes she could fast forward to the end of the pregnancy blah blah blah. Dont get me wrong, I know how sucky pregnancy can be (2 out of 3 with my kids were complete horror) and I know it sucks having to chase other kids while doing it but really................she's *****ing to the wrong person. At this point in time I would take 9 months of morning sickness, clicky hips, a waddle and no sleep; Ive realised just how precious pregnancy really is even if it sucks. She hasnt even stopped to consider how hard this is for me; not once asked me how Im doing and I think that hurts the most. I try not to project my issues onto others but people can still keep a little bit of compassion for someone faced with this situation cant they?
Ugh Im off to drown my sorrows in left over spaghetti bolognaise and a book before cracking open a block of chocolate, because I can.
Thanks Freya - had bloods done so the nervous wait is on, feeling very negative today I must say. Although the nurse I saw today said she probably wouldn't have told me the same given it was only 48 hours, she didn't really explain that whole 48-72 thing when I asked but did say that they might've got my blood right when it was about to peak and if we had've waited even another 12 hours the numbers may have been completely different. I'm trying to hold onto that hope, but it's hard.
As for yourself, I know that feeling all too well and I feel for you. I have found it so hard around people who are pregnant, have even had an issue with one of the girls from playgroup about it, I just find because they are pregnant they are so insensitive to those of us who are having problems getting there, especially if you've already got a child/children, how many times do you have to hear, oh well at least you have so and so, you should be grateful as some don't even have that. Yes, that is true and of course I'm grateful you twat! One of the girls in my playgroup (she just had her 2nd a week ago) said to me a couple of months ago that just because things weren't working out for me didn't give me the right to make her feel like she couldn't talk about her pregnancy......I was stunned as I'd never said anything to suggest such a thing. The more I thought about it the more I thought well since when have you ever asked me how I'm going, how I'm feeling, how the treatment works................hmmm let's see - NEVER! I was so upset I actually could've punched her in the face! I don't think I'll ever understand it Freya, but just know that we do understand and we'll always be here to give you a cyber cuddle and I am always up for sharing a block of chocolate! xxxx
Thanks Alison, its nice to have people who dont judge me for being human and understand where Im coming from. My friend could never say I havent been supportive, I even went to her 12 and 20wk scans (the 20wk one was 3 weeks after my last miscarriage, THATS how much I care about her!) but she just doesnt seem to see that its difficult for me. She just complains about being pregnant and then tells me that I'll be fine and have a baby eventually, think positive! I swear if anyone utters the words 'grateful for what you have' 'think positive' or 'move on' to me one more time I will get violent.
Freya, You are a very kind friend to help your friend out, even though it must be so extremely painful for you. Im not sure I could have done that, especially because (as you know) the pain of recurrent m/c is so unbelievably raw at times.
You really do lose faith in your body to carry a baby to term and knowing that you may never have another one is a very hard thing to deal with, so hearing 'think positive' or 'you'll be fine' makes you want to scream. I have a friend who told me I should just be grateful for my two boys and move on, because that is what she is doing. Apparently, her little boy and girl make her feel so complete, so she doesnt need to have a third . I wanted to scream 'but you only ever wanted two kids and you got exactly what you wanted. Of course its easy for you to move on!!!!
Sorry if Ive made this about me, but I wanted to you to understand that I know what you are going through.
