Yes I agree, m/s is horrid!!
Just something for you to keep in mind. If you continue to vomit & lose weight & the maxalon doesn't work please see your doc as there is such a thing as severe m/s (called hyperemisis... I'm a sufferer) There are different meds that can help you in this case when nothing else will.
I had hyperemisis with DD from 6 weeks until the night I gave birth to her, that was the last time I vomitted just after giving birth & that was the last time I needed my medication.I was vomitting every 2 mins, yes we ended up timing them LOL & eventually I was vomitting blood as there was nothing else in my stomach. I tried to come off the medication all the way through my PG but would start vomitting again so straight back on them. I'm currently on the same medication this time (started at 7 weeks this time though).
The medication I'm on is called Zofran Zydis & I take the wafers so it dissolves in your mouth so you dont have to try to swallow it. It's used for chemotherapy patients but has become quite known for a hyperemisis treatment now. The only downside is the cost. They are approx $12 per wafer/tablet. But if it's all that will work, like in my case (tried maxalon, stemitil etc) it's a small price to pay. I only take one a day so it's about $12 a day in meds but when I started I was on 4 a day! I weened myself down so it could be possible for you to only need 1 a day aswell?
Oh & in my experiences while I'm on the Zofran wafers I feel totally normal (besides the tiredness) I don't feel ill at all.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that there are conditions out there apart from your "normal" m/s, so just be aware if you feel like nothings working maybe mention it to your GP & see if they can help better.
I really feel for you, I understand how dreadful it can be. Hopefully it will pass for you very soon & you can start enjoying your pregnancy
I hope I have helped in some way....
