Ooh Ltl Panda, sounding promising there!

Just had to come in and brag about my bargain buy! Just ordered a copy of 'delivery by appointment' from QBD for 4 bucks! and 6 for postage lol. I thought it was a mistake, but it went through the checkout at that price.

Have been having some bad heartburn this week, and feel like MS is returning of a morning. Was asked to help out at the schools bookfair, setting up on Friday and selling books in the mornings next week. Said I would help out with setup, but not next week when I'm feeling all blurgh in the mornings. DD has been reminding me to breath big and deep, so very cute.

Lots going on in here to catch up on - i am having a sickie today as i am just exhausted and seem to feel like rubbish at night when i get home. So, a nice quiet day was on order. I don't feel bad - they pay me peanuts and i'm meant to be part-time already anyway. This might be the wake up they need.

Ltl Panda - good to hear you are both ok - but take things easy. I hope you are getting a chance to relax a little.

Sazz - oh the little cloth butt up in the air - very cute, but maybe not so comfie. Still, think of how you had to lie for the last few months!

Kimbe - congrats on the engagement. Not long to go now - aren't we all funny wanting to go as soon as possible! I don't want to wait much longer than the EDD - and i am paranoid now that he'll be an April Fool's arrival.

Marcellus - you are good making the nappies - I am buying mine - but DH is still really not happy about the MCN decision.

Katones - congrats my dear. 1st cycle too!

Hope to see some more newbies in here soon, as we have got four mummies already, and at least four of us are graduating in the next 2 months! My heart still aches for my LTTTC friends who haven't got their BFPs yet.

Nic - i have a bargain too! I bought 2 gro-bags off ebay - second-hand, but only $40 for 2 so if bugsy doesn't like them, at least them i haven't spent an arm and a leg.

Went to Ante-Natal classes on Sunday - and both DH and i were very pleasantly surprised. It was really well done and we had a great group. Pity they are all due at least a month after me (except one girl who was due in 2 weeks time!). So, I'm not expecting anyone to be in at the same time as us. We saw a Placenta too - which was interesting, but DH was a bit grossed out.

I have another scan next week - my ob says that they always do an extra check at 37 weeks for those of us who had difficulties etc. He is a darling and DH and i both really like him. Pity he is always running late!

That was a long post - hope everyone else is well and happy

    Hi everyone,

Kimbe - congrats on your engagement. I wasn't sure what to refer to my partner as when I started to post on BB but went with DF as we are engaged, but we do live together as well, so maybe should be DP. It's all much of a muchness I reckon.

I became an aunty for the first time yesterday. My DF's sister gave birth to a girl by c section and we got to go visit them last night. Was a weird feeling to know that probably the next new born I hold will be my own. I'm getting little movements every day now - an industrial vaccuum cleaner was used near me at work today and it was incredibly loud and bubs promptly woke up and gave me a kick. Had my first experience of stress incontinence a couple of days ago - I had two powerful sneezes in a row and out it came with the second one... luckily was at home at the time. I now carry a spare pair of nickers in my handbag....just in case.

ooo Satya, I had a bad cough early in 2nd tri and same thing - not nice.

Nice to see you here again Tracey - hope you're doing well too.

Hope you enjoyed your day off Lenny - what a great idea. I've just spoken to work about bringing my maternity leave forward by a week - just not coping very well 'mentally', sure all know what I mean... Is your DH still worried about washing them?

oh wow, a placenta - what'd it look like? was it really huge?

And yes, new members please! any lurkers, please don't be shy... it can seem a bit daunting to join in amid lots of conversation, but the more the merrier! Especially with the new parenting after LTTTC thread just opened - we might lose our new mummies.

Nic - your DD is so sweet!

    Take care everyone

Yep Monnie, it is supposedly me next, but who knows, if i go late and Lenny &/or Marcellus go early then we could all be in around the same time.

Just awoke after a nice little sleep...driving mum to the airport and then coming home really took it out of me - given some of you are doing a 2+hr drive to see a Dr i don't know how you do it. It was nice having mum down and hearing her labour stories and just chatting about what she was doing when she was my age etc. Unfortunately, the time spent together didn't help bring on an early delivery as i was hoping though. So as she hugged me goodbye at the airports drop off zone it was "i hope you have a good labour, enjoy it, know the pain will stop, and i'll see you again when you're a mum and i'm a nanna again" It was really nice.

I'm with you Lenny on the sooner the better though. I just want the "new life to begin" but my mum made a good point saying, don't go wishing bub's life away. Blah blah blah LOL!

Well, we're off to a farewell for our best mates who are moving to Qld tonight. DH is not a regular drinker but will have a few with this particular friend and given the circumstances i think a good healthy consumption of alcohol is in order, but I have said on the side that even though i'm happy to do the drive home, he'll need to take it a little easy on the beer & port just incase things begin to move.

Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. The weather here in Sydney is glorious, hope its the same around the rest of the country!

    Hi Ladies,

Kimbe - such a nice story about dropping your mum at the airport "see you when Im a nanna again". That's so sweet. You're right about the weather in Sydney. It has been the most beautiful weekend we have had for some time and it makes me feel good with such perfect weather. Wishing you all the best for your last week. Hope all runs smoothly for you. You must be so anxious!!!

Lenny - I totally understand about the dumb comments. I have gone from 47kg to 65kg in 20 weeks and I am getting dumb a** comments all the time. We have 52 stairs at home and people (friends and family) are asking me how I get up and down them already!!!! Im short so I guess I look bigger, but in hindsight 65kg is a good weight for anyone to have normally!!!!!

My biggest dumb comments:- went to Sister In Laws last Sunday morning to call in and say Hi. They had gone into the city for Valentines Day and niece and nephew were home alone (19 & 17). Niece was saying how fantastic I looked and that I had a "Little Bump". We said our hello's then left to go to Mother In Laws.
By the time we got there we received 7 phone calls regarding my "excessive weight gain" and was I doing okay and that I should back off on the sugar. Niece had called everyone and told them how huge I was yet to my face I was little. Left mother in laws crying as family started to arrive to "check me out". MIL was very supportive and said I should try to keep the weight on as I look healthy. That was sweet and unexpected.

We cant win. If we put the weight on, its bad, if we dont put it on, its bad. Everyone's an expert. I now know who to stay away from when I need advice. Not to mention that I cry at simple things now.

Satya - very strange temp. I guess that's why she's a temp. Maybe with her stupid comments no-one has obviously asked her to stay on permanently in any job. My best friend gives me comments like that. I told her that after this one, I will have another tfr in 6mths. She told me that at my age I should just be thinking of getting through this one before I even think that I could make it to the next one. That sliced me right down the middle. With friends like that........

Ltl Panda - Thinking of you and bubs and hoping that you are settling into this new chapter of your life easily. I am sure you are all basking in happiness!

Me - I awoke so exhausted this morning. I dreamt I was "sugar soaping" the walls in the kitchen by hand and sometimes with a broom, its such a hard job. I think I am nesting in my sleep already. The dreams I have been having are crazy. I got up and checked the walls out. Our kitchen walls are spotless and I wondered if I had actually gotten up and sugar soaped or if it was a dream. Had a giggle and ate my pancakes. Spending the day at home today, its so beautiful again.

    Take Care,

    Tracey

Wow, some people, huh?! I hope these dumb comments are isolated incidents and don't happen all the time. Tracey - sorry, laughed at your neice. She'll get hers one day!

I may have gained heaps of weight, but I really love my preggy body, well the belly mostly. I hope you ladies all love your bodies too, big or small - pregnant women look great!

Lenny - these things can all happen very quickly. Dr says it looks promising, but he's seen women engage early and have all the signs, and then go over. so it doesn't really mean anything. Sadly it is random and impossible to predict. But then again, maybe that's a really good thing, y'know?

Kimbe - your mum sounds really together with good advice.

Met with our doula again today, and backup doula. Had a good chat about all sorts of things. She also critiqued my nappies - no good, apparently! but it's good to get some advice. She has also suggested a sewing date to make some up, which would be good.

Been getting cramps lately. This is how demented my brain has become - I actually had the thought 'hmmm, period must be coming....' I'd really like my brain back
