Lismith - hope the scan went great. Don't worry about your emotions - i think we all felt terrified and thrilled and paranoid all at the same time!

Mako - I'm sure your little one is fine, but if work can go a bit easy on you, then it will be better for you all in the long run. Better for them to have you at work a few days a week, than having to take leave early, and not be there at all.

DJ - you're organised! Still, that will make the last weeks just fly by I'm sure.

I went to the private hospital for the first time to 'book in'. Wow! Now that's the way to have a baby!! It was so flash - i felt like a total fraud I am glad we decided to go private though - with no family around (oh, except my 35 yo sister of course who is still living in our spare room!! ) it will be a luxury being able to stay for 4 nights if i need to - at least until i get the hang of the breastfeeding thing. I'm sure we can work out bathing and changing nappies etc - but if i can't get these bb's to do their job then i'll definitely need some help.
