About the timeline, if you go to the top of the screen on the left it says User profile. Click on that and you can make/edit a signature. Also up at the top you can find the tickers if you want to make a ticker. Make sure you read the signature rules--you can only have a certain amount of text on your sig, and it's different if you have a ticker. I didn't know this at first, so it's a good thing to know! Happy to hear we'll be cycle buddies!
