Hi girls
Bunyou're not neurotic and unappreciative at all, this is stressful time and your reaction is normal. I'm sure that you will get a great result next Monday morning at your scan (we'll be scan buddies!) and will be able to go on your holiday with no worries.
To answer your question though, I was actually due to fly to London to be bridesmaid at my best friend's wedding the day I had my D&C. My obs wouldn't let me fly until the following Monday or Tuesday (the D&C was on the previous Weds) due to the risk factors of having recently been pregnant and having a general anaesthetic. I was a bit naughty though and booked to go on the Sunday, so 4 days later, and he let me, as long as I promised to drink loads of water, wear compression tights and move lots. The flight was looooong though, from Canberra to London via Sydney and Japan, so I can see why he was cautious. In the end, I made it to the wedding and it was a wonderful, but very emotional day.
I'm SURE you won't have to change your holiday plans though Bun, your symptoms are really promising. You have done a wise thing in booking an early scan, as you will see that everything is okay and will be able to go on your holiday knowing all is as it should be.
Zionsmum,That's such a great attitude! I reckon she's right too, in fact I think we're going to see lots of good news coming from this thread and you girls all really deserve it.My doctor also told me that she would bet anything I would get pregnant 3-6 mos. from my miscarriage and that it would be great and fine. She has been right on with everything so why not this??? I know she doesn't know the future but it helps give me a little bit of hope right now.
Kiwi - i reckon that's an ovulation bleed too. our bodies should come with an owner's manual though, so man confusing things happen, esp as a female. Have fun on your hol, I'm soooo jealous.
Salt, i know you don't want to get your hopes up, so i'll just quietly say 'omg how good does your chart look!'. not long to go! my LPs usually varied by a day or two aswell and i remember thinking 'if it don't get AF tomorrow, then I'll believe i'm pg' about 4 days in a row! Good luck tomorrow, i hope everything goes well. Make sure you take care of yourself and try not to get too stressed.
Pash, are you there? we're all thinking of you.
Susan, welcome to the group and sorry about the loss of your little one. i hate hearing that other people have gone through this, it's just not fair.
as for me, I reached 7 weeks today, yay! I'm so proud of this little bubba for hanging on. only 5 weeks now till the dreaded 12 week scan when everything went pear-shaped last time, but i keep looking at people in the street and thinking 'you were a 12 week old foetus once, so why shouldn't my baby get to that stage'. oh god i hope so.
The m/s got pretty bad this morning, it's now 4pm and i think i'm managing to keep food down for the first time today - fourth attempt!
Tomorrow is my b'day and the day I should have had ny 20 week scan to find out the sex of my baby. i thought i would feel much worse than i do... i guess having this little baby to focus on makes it easier, and i still 'feel' our other baby around us.
hope you're all okay, you're such a fantastic bunch of women and really do deserve the very best. xx
