Simba - I had a c/s as well and I do remember that someone somewhere said to wait a year before having another one so that scar was well and truly healed. Now I wasn't in the situation you're in but we started trying to conceive #2 only 2 months after DS was born. So can only lead by example cos I didn't wait but then again haven't had f/t pg since. Don't know of another thread at all that may apply better to you but you are certainly most welcome to stay in this thread also, hun

Me - Does anyone know of particular treatments that have helped to prevent endo reoccurring (apparently lap is not a guarantee of endo not coming back)?
Am not so good today - physically, mentally, emotionally under the weather.... tomorrow will be better.

    Birthday Buddy

Ok Birthday Buddy...... Cheer up time...... :nana:

Dont let the Endo get to you girl. I had so much endo and nearly didnt make it through the Lap. I suppose I just look at it in a way that it doesnt get to me. While I was in rediculous amounts of pain after the op, I was glad that it had been found and taken out. I am not aware of any treatment as such, I do know that is likely to return but thats alright. Your probably thinkin.... how can that be alright.... well I look at it the same way I look at another health issuer I have. I have operations each year to remove polyps as there is a history of bowel cancer throughout my whole family, so once a year I have them removed rather than risk my whole bowel being removed...... i ve dealt with that one for over 15 years. You just cant let it get you down..... I am greatful that I know about it and greatful that I m in a country and a position to be able to do something about it.

Now I know that probably hasnt cheered you up but sometimes our moods can be changed by us changing how we view things...... You found out you had endo, you had it removed.... your conception chances have now increased... and you know you can have a lap.... (standard ones being a pretty straight forward proceedure).. to have it removed..... My MIL had endo 40 years ago, she was unable to have children and ended up adopting DH..... So we are in a good position...

If that doesnt help by changing how you look at it then I ll resort back to :nana: :nana: :nana: :nana: :nana: to try and put a smile back on your face.

    Eeeeeeeeeee!

I have been away for a bit because of computer and time issues. Just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS to Starrysky and Nickster!!!! That is 4 BFPs since the new year (and counting...) Well done guys, pass on your fertility vibes to the rest of us!

Simba, :hugs: Oh, hun, I have no idea what you must have been through. I am so, so sorry that little Lani has gone to be with the angels. I am sure that I can speak for all of us here when I say that you are very, very welcome to join in. I think that I have seen a thread for TTC after late miscarriage or late loss. It takes so much courage to TTC again, I wish you lots and lots of luck.

Ren, Nice to meet you. I hope that some of the infectious fertility vibes of this thread do their trick for you soon.

Angel B, Yeah, Curry does that for me, too!

Thank you to all who have put advice about CM on here. I have not been checking internally, but was REALLY excited to find some EWCM on Tues. It was weird, stretchy stuff, but there was only a little bit. FF is not sure whether I have O'd or not yet, but I think I should have on about 21st. DH and I have been BDing so much that I am getting sick of it now!!!! I think that some of the romance is removed when you have 'got to do it'!

I guess I am now in a 2ww along with Magda and Angel B and probably lots of others, but I cant remember everyone because I have just read about a million threads! My hopes are not too high this month, I think that my timing may have been a little out and I also had a cold earlier this month, which I presumed would affect fertility (although I have no idea really).

Laura, I hope that your trip to Tassie is OK and not as tough as you are expecting.
plc- sorry, I have no thoughts on how to prevent endo. Glad that your lap went OK.

I thought I should leave some of these before signing off:

    Have a great weekend all!

PS: I had to chop out a couple of baby dusts because I had too many piccies in my message-ooops!

I think I was typing my post when yours was added.
Just wanted to say sorry for the temp drop. :hugs: I have never heard of this gene. Is there good evidence that it is linked to m/c?

Angel Babies: try not to make yourself too crazy LOL! You'll need your money some day to send some little guy away to college (hopefully and keeping fingers crossed) and not paying for some psychologist's new sports car!

Anthonysmom: I'm so sorry. Keeping fingers crossed for next month. Is there some sort of treatment or hormone or something they can put you on?

Canary: even if you only saw a little CM, it still counts. But some suggestions for improving and increasing mucus include eating vitamin A rich foods like one or two carrots a day, prunes, eggs, liver and organ meats. Also, vitamin c helps and the cough syrup guiafensin (Robitussin). Good luck.

Angel B: :hugs: Sorry about AF. How rude of her to come early and take you by surprise. Glad to hear that you are feeling positive about her though. Just think, only 14ish days until the fun part of getting jiggy like mad!
Laura, I am actually having the opposite, less CM. It sounds rather bizarre, but I'm sure it is all part of the normal human cycle.
Mollycat- sorry about you SIL, but nice to hear that you are feeling positive.

As for me, I am still imagining symptoms....Wish I could stop! Have really cut down on caffeine- just one cup of tea or coffee per day, which is a big difference for me. Have just realised that I am CD 24 today, so should be 6 days to test, but ff says I am only 5 DPO. Oh, I dont know, I think that I should just try and foget about it for a bit, seems to be all I am thinking of at the moment!

Angle babies, I am sorry to hear that AF arrived. But I agree with one of the ladies here who said 14 days till you can get jiggy with it. Keep trying don't leave us.

Mollycat, I am sorry to hear about your SIL, continue being positive.

Canary, I am in the same boat with you at the moment I should be 7 dpo, but I have no idea if I O'd. I did have a dr apt yesterday and when he was feeling around inside he said it felt like a strong chance I could be. But are you eating a lot, I am eating everything I see. I went to the supermarket earlier and brought at frozen Sara Lee Pound Cake, the small one, and 4 hrs later I have eaten 3/4 of it. And I am not at all a big eater.

Does anyone remember feeling moody a week before Af is to arrive if preg or do you guys think it's a clear sign of Af arriving. I have been under a lot of stress with my daughter.

I hope everyone else is doing well I 'm sorry if I have missed anything I still have a few more post to read.

Hi all- hope you've had a good day!? Mine has been crazy!! Today I was dressed as Queen Elizabeth 1st- I kid you not- and the rest of my department dressed as Shakespeare characters for the day. I organised a special day for 220 students who are sitting their Shakespeare exams in a few weeks (special lessons, assembly, a falconer who did an awsome display with his birds of prey (the kids even gloved up and 'flew' them) and then the theatre co. who performed the play). Brilliant but absolutely knackering!! I've already had my dinner and a bath and am off to bed in a mo- it's not even 8pm here yet!

It kept me occupied tho so I haven't been fretting about 'symptoms' today. I figure if there's no tummy pain, severe backache or bleeding then little bean must be ok....hoping hopimg hoping...

Angel- damn your unwanted visitor! Tell her to come back in 9-10 months time! xxx Hope you are ok, :hugs:

Laura- I definitely get the CM you describe around 'o'. I reckon it's nature's way of making sure I realise what's going on, since I'm a bit unsure of the whole 'monitoring of the cycle.' I go 'oh' in surprise (or 'yuk') 'aha must be 'o'

Canary- have added you to my 'fingers crossed for BFP' this weekend- good luck mate!

Hi to everyone else- for you all xxx

Hi there - have been lurking but not posted - just had to time-out a little and now I'm back

Angelbabies - Bdaybuddy!! - what a bugger!! and a 25 day cycle to boot! hun - I'm going to become one of those super powered wonder twins (dykwim?) and assume "form of a big mirror" and reflect all of the amazing positive energy that you normally emit right back at you!!! I don't have ur knack of knowing exactly the right thing to say but know that the best possible right thing is trying to be said to you right now - chin up, hun! oh and thx for your cheer up post - it did actually make me lol

Nickster - crazy day at your neck of the world! I (and the rest of us I'm sure) would be in the same shoes as you re ur concerns - after my m/cs I don't think I would totally let myself relax during my next (hopeful) pg. But there has to be an element of allowing urself to have faith that things will work out - doesn't there?

Canary - aww GL hun for this cycle! but at the same time if it's meant to be for you this cycle it will be. Positive vibes for u!!

ll80 - hey laura - def get the cm at o time on my underwear but don't know about "wetting myself" feeling. Haven't experienced any change with cm since m/cs. GL with BT!

Mollycat - wow! for so many reasons - great to hear of positives in ur life at the mo! sorry ur mum has been poorly and sorry u have that horrible constant reminder of good pg around u. Ur sil esp!! With all due respect - what a show-off! 11 kids (sigh!) as for keeping up a brave face to ur clients, it reminds me a saying my mum heard once and lives by "the personal success is how we face, with grace and dignity, the atrocities of life" - helps me!

Katiegirl - sorry af feels like its coming (not over til its over tho) and there is ? on ur cycle. I don't really know what to say about whether it is better to have a longer or shorter pause after m/c. I have heard of women having success and failures in each circumstance. Hang in there - when it finally happens for you, it won't matter how long it has taken, ul be just so over the moon!

Tina - it's been my experience and observation that there are no set pg symptoms for everyone. My girlfriend has just had her 2nd m/c with 2 healthy pgs before that and never had any of the traditional signs of pg for any of them. I had no early pg symptoms for DS but had a lot of nausea before i m/c my 1st. I totally get ur desperation - I'm not particularly religious but I do kind of "pray" to the universe - put it out there that "yep! i'm open to being pg again" - it helps me.

Betty - how'd u go with lap appt? glad u had a great weekend!

AJC - how u going hun?

Anthonysmom - glad that there are some answers coming ur way so that (even tho horrible to hear) u know what ur dealing with at least and can take appropriate meds. keep positive tho!

Tempus - how are u going? hugs to you...

Hi to everyone else - let's keep that positivity in here and let the settle on all of us!!

Katiegirl - hoping for that best possible scenario after ur tests - sounds like u got a prince of an ob!!
    jodsan - GL hun!!
berecca - r u in melbourne? that's where my acupuncturist is! lol!
    bettyboop - !!
canary - have a great weekend.
