Hannah - gosh you are a wealth of knowledge and advice please stay around!!!!
AFM - i had all these great dreams of a natural delivery (before i knew i was having twins!) where i would labour at home for as long as i could, i wanted to be active and drugfree - although being a nurse i'm not afraid of having to have meds or epi or even a c-sec if it's required. I am comfortable to have to do whatever to ensure i have healthy and happy babies - it's about them more than me! When i found out i was having twins i automatically assumed i would have to have a c-sec - i was pleasantly suprised to read of many many people having a vag del with twins. I was going to have the babies at my work but given the potential intervention rate with twins felt i wanted to be in a bigger hospital with better access to specialists plus at my work none of the obs except one whom i don't like allow twin vag del they c-sec them all! So off the the specialist biggest hosp to their multiple birth clinic - they have been fantastic so far and i really haven't had an opportunity to talk about the del yet! Am reading alot and will be armed with lots of knowledge and being a nurse i'm confident and am happy to fight for my rights!!!!!
sorry for the long post! You did well if you read it all!
Jen sorry to hear your in so much pain- hope you turn a corner sooner rather than latter!
