RayRay - Firstly, WELCOME! The more the merrier! Good luck with your little Milo's immunisations. Maddy had all three of hers 3 days before her birthday and was fine. IIRC, a severe allergic reaction to foods will appear within 5-10 minutes. That's not saying that if it appears 1/2hr or an hour later that it's not an allergy; just not as severe. Quite a few girls here have had their babies react to egg; I guess I've just been lucky. Maddy eats my frittata (LOADS of egg) no problem, although she doesn't like hard boiled egg.
Missy - sorry to hear that Callum still isn't eating much. I guess all you can do is to keep offering him foods. They won't allow themselves to starve. *tries to think of more suggestions* I wonder why your MCHN said 'no hot foods' during the day. I often give Maddy her big meal at lunch and something light like fruit & yoghurt for dinner. Could you make him some little mini quiches seeing as though he's had them before? That way he gets his finger food. You can even hide stuff in them. I make mine with spinach (the frozen chopped kind in a box from the freezer section) and bacon/ham with the usual egg, cheese, cream & milk.
Sarajo - I FINALLY spoke to DH about TTC no2. in winter (probably around July/August). He's all for it - although personally I think he's just excited at the thought of all of that sex again. *LOL* @ little Abby with her toothbrush. It's one of Maddy's favourite things too - she loves to chew on it and have Daddy or I brush her teeth. She's not so keen on the 'milk' toothpaste for babies from the shops, but it's just important for them to learn to brush their teeth at this point. I always try to get her to drink water before she goes to bed to at least rinse out her mouth IYKWIM?
Christie - OMG...sounds like a REPEAT of me with the Mater Hospital up here. Any chance Ben could take you in to the doctors and ask to see your file? I believe as the patient, you have a right to view your file? That way you could have them copy the referral letter and you could send it yourself (or take it in person!) to the hospital.
Renee - LMAO @ your baked bean craving in the middle of the night. Sorry! *hides* How's everything going? Have you been struck down by the dreaded MS yet? I hope you manage to avoid it!
BIG hugs to all of the other girls I haven't gotten to this time round - Rach, Meg, Kate, Yael, Sami, Jillian, Dani.... Hope you're all cruising along!
Yep - thanks for that Beck! I had my sandwich and I was up all night! So no more late night snacks for me.
But I will say Marnie loved her Baked Beans and toast for tea! - Mum didn't like cleaning it up afterwards! Marnie loved feeding herself and had a great time! Thanks Beck - but I will no longer be enjoying that midnight feast.
I had m/s for the first 6 weeks - just felt like I was permanently hungover but I didn't want my usual hang over food - hot chips etc. All I wanted was fresh fruit and water - which was handy as it is the right time of the season. I am feeling a lot better now but now sadly:frown: watching my waist disappear - just my luck after only just getting it back!
Hi rayray! We love to chat here! Judging from the number of posts you have made I am sure you will fit right in! YOur nearly up to 2000 - I don't think i'll be seeing that anytime soon.
Good luck with the feeding Missy@! Keep trying the finger food - Marnie loves it now because she worked out what to do with it!.
Sarajo - Marnie brushes her teeth as well. I hadn't heard in Australia not to start until they are 2. THe toothpaste says one and so does my dentist. Marnie loves it and we also have a struggle with getting the toothbrush off her!
Two inquiries from you wonderful mums.
* Sorry to be gross but does anyone else's baby continually (i mean every second night poo in the bath?) I know gross! But it is happening here!
* And is anyone else having problems with the second sleep (i.e. afternoon?) Marnie is saying no way to this
Talk later!
