Hi again just me. Ive post this and thought I would post it here to.

    So here goes.
Callum is having problems with eating lunch. He has his breccy and dinner fine and eats it all up but lunch in just not happening. He gets his sandwich and starts to eat it then instead of swollowing it he spits it out. This happens with the whole lot. Then I give him yoghart and he will eat all that. Im just worried he isnt getting enough. What do you ladies think???

Missy, Maddy has days when she is really fussy for lunch in particular. Have you tried a plate of finger food for him? I find if I chop up fruit, little cubes of cheese, some plain crackers in there too...Maddy just loves it. My little bread muncher (Madeline normally LOVES her sandwiches) went off bread for the better part of a week a few weeks back.

Oh, and she also loves things like baked beans warmed up. I cut up little pieces of bread and put it on top and she dips it in. Perhaps he's just looking for a 'change up' rather than not necessarily not being hungry? If he's still gobbling up his yoghurt then I'd say he still has his appetite.

    Good luck hon!

    P.S - Kate hon, I hope you're feeling much better VERY soon! {{{{huggles}}}}

Argh just lost a big post! I hate it when that happens! Well, to summarize,

Kate feel better soon hun! How miserable you sound!

Beck baked beans what a great idea!! I'll have to try that with Abby!

Missy we have been sayting prayers and brushing teeth for a while now! I used to use gauze for her teeth till she got more than 2! I hold her and we say a little prayer at the end of each day thanking God for a wonderful day and blessing us the way He has, and praying for anything or anyone who is in need of some prayer! I have probably been doing that with her for 6 months or so now. We pray for thanks over our meals but when we take her hand to pray, she doesnt like that...she just wants to eat atm! lol!

Renee awe you make me miss being pregnant! you enjoy your late night snacks girl!

    Hi All,

Firstly, Kate, I hope your feeling better!! And that the gorgeous jasmine doesn't get sick too!!

Meg, glad to hear about your new place and new kitchen..enjoy!! you won't know yourselves!! i hope coco's excema is better soon too.

Sarajo, LOL at abby not wanting to give the toothbrush back..ah well at least she's in good habits early..strange about the peanut butter too, the recommendation here is 12 mths..and for toothpaste we're told to wait til 2..funny how things are different all over the world despite the fact the babies are the same, isn't it!?!

Missy, Owen loves finger food too!!i found that when he spits food out that he normally likes its usually only so he can pick it up and feed it to himself..

Well, things are good here, just busy now that bens home..am very hot and ginormous!!and getting very uncomfortable now too(not helped by 40 degree days!!)but ok aapart from that..a bit stressed out though..i rang the hospital yest because i sent my info for booking in to them at start of dec(had troubles convincing the gp to be bothered..she was very laid back and unhelpful)and hadn't heard back from them re:appt time. Anyway, turns out they've lost my paperwork and need it before i can even make a booking appt!!hello, i'm having a baby in 4-7 weeks!!!arggh!!!so she said get GP to fax info then call back to make appt, but turns out GP is on hols til monday and the receptionist there won't open my file at all without GP there(even though there are other docs at the practice..)so its all a big mess!!am getting a bit worked up about it..ben is very laid back and said well if we turn up at emergency they'll have to deliver bub there, but thats not the point..well not as far as i'm concerned!!

Anyway, sorry for my rant but had to let it out!!hope everyone else is well that i've missed(i know i did..sorry!!) and i'll be back later..

    xx

ps hi RayRay, welcome to dec05 buddies!!the more the merrier here!!

OKay I have just read through the entire thread, man you guys can chat! hehe.

Thanks Christie. Wow not long to go for you...rest up

Missy - I hope lunch goes a bit better for you and Callum today. I wonder why your health nurse said not to give warm food during the day? Milo goes to creche 3 days, and some days its warm food, others not.

I have yet to take Milo for his 12 months immunisations. We're getting them, but I didn't want to get them on his birthday or at Christmas, and with working FT its hard to get to the council ones. Theres one coming up next Sat (20th) so I guess we will go along to that.

I was hoping to get 2 of them, and the MMR later to give him a break in between, but now I'm worrying that he'll catch something in between now and then...grrr.. I hate that I worry so much.

Also, regarding egg allergy -- do you see the symptoms of this right away?

Last time Milo had full cooked egg, he ended up vomiting about an hour so so later. I figured it was not allergy related though, as I'd have expected to see a reaction within about a quarter hour? what do you think?

He had had it before in smaller amounts, and cooked in food with no obvious reaction, but this time my mum mashed half an egg with bread and butter and gave him that.

Had a bit of a scare this week. AF was really weird. Alot lighter and shorter than normal so I freaked out and thought it was an imp. bleed, and tested, but got a BFN. We *are* planning on a no2 (and maybe a no3) but ideally would like a 2.5-3.5 year gap.

In a perfect world, I would get to be on mat leave while Milo is a kinder, so that he can go to proper kinder instead of creche kinder. (not that I have a problem with creche kinder, but i'd like to be involved IYKWIM)

    Well, better do some work!

RayRay - Firstly, WELCOME! The more the merrier! Good luck with your little Milo's immunisations. Maddy had all three of hers 3 days before her birthday and was fine. IIRC, a severe allergic reaction to foods will appear within 5-10 minutes. That's not saying that if it appears 1/2hr or an hour later that it's not an allergy; just not as severe. Quite a few girls here have had their babies react to egg; I guess I've just been lucky. Maddy eats my frittata (LOADS of egg) no problem, although she doesn't like hard boiled egg.

Missy - sorry to hear that Callum still isn't eating much. I guess all you can do is to keep offering him foods. They won't allow themselves to starve. *tries to think of more suggestions* I wonder why your MCHN said 'no hot foods' during the day. I often give Maddy her big meal at lunch and something light like fruit & yoghurt for dinner. Could you make him some little mini quiches seeing as though he's had them before? That way he gets his finger food. You can even hide stuff in them. I make mine with spinach (the frozen chopped kind in a box from the freezer section) and bacon/ham with the usual egg, cheese, cream & milk.

Sarajo - I FINALLY spoke to DH about TTC no2. in winter (probably around July/August). He's all for it - although personally I think he's just excited at the thought of all of that sex again. *LOL* @ little Abby with her toothbrush. It's one of Maddy's favourite things too - she loves to chew on it and have Daddy or I brush her teeth. She's not so keen on the 'milk' toothpaste for babies from the shops, but it's just important for them to learn to brush their teeth at this point. I always try to get her to drink water before she goes to bed to at least rinse out her mouth IYKWIM?

Christie - OMG...sounds like a REPEAT of me with the Mater Hospital up here. Any chance Ben could take you in to the doctors and ask to see your file? I believe as the patient, you have a right to view your file? That way you could have them copy the referral letter and you could send it yourself (or take it in person!) to the hospital.

Renee - LMAO @ your baked bean craving in the middle of the night. Sorry! *hides* How's everything going? Have you been struck down by the dreaded MS yet? I hope you manage to avoid it!

BIG hugs to all of the other girls I haven't gotten to this time round - Rach, Meg, Kate, Yael, Sami, Jillian, Dani.... Hope you're all cruising along!
